    Consistently high Hotel quality

    It was my first Multiple Night Stay at Dormy Inn Kawasaki in a while, and I had a very comfortable stay. The bath was clean and well maintained, and it wasn’t too crowded, so I could relax and unwind. There are three massage chairs; you may have to wait a little, but they provide a wonderfully relaxing experience. If I have the chance next time, I would definitely stay again.

    The four of us stayed in a family room. The bath was very relaxing, the breakfast was delicious, and we had a wonderful time.

    This is a repeat stay.

    This Business Hotel is on the pricier side in Kawasaki, but the quality matches the price. Overall, I’m satisfied with the Hotel, but I’m concerned that it’s far from the station and that the area around it doesn’t feel very safe. Still, I think this is the best Hotel to stay at in Kawasaki, so I’ll use it again when I stay there.

    Black Hot Spring Water and Sauna

    My favorite thing is that the large public bath has natural black hot-spring water, and the sauna is also nicely high-temperature. I’ve been staying here about once a month for nearly two years, but lately the room rates keep going up, so I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep coming—depends on my budget (haha).

    Reliable Dormy Inn

    It was likely close to full occupancy due to the busy New Year period. The staff accommodated our room requests, and the facility was clean. The room size was sufficient as we booked two separate double rooms for a couple. In the women's Onsen changing area, there was a water dispenser with paper cups, but it was an older type where you drink directly from it. My husband mentioned that his side had a paper cup dispenser, so I hope they can provide one for women as well. The staff serving night ramen and at the breakfast venue were kind and attentive, embodying the Dormy Inn spirit. It would be nice if tabi-style socks were provided here too, as they make wearing slippers after bathing more comfortable. With its great location and access to an Onsen, I will definitely stay here again!

    Stayed on New Year's...

    Stayed on New Year's Day. One of the highlights of Dormy Inn is the seafood rice bowl for breakfast, especially topping it generously with salmon roe. However, this time, the service offering only salmon roe was no longer available. Instead, it was replaced with a mix of salmon and a small amount of salmon roe (very disappointing). I hope it returns to the original style in the future!

    The bath is excellent, but there are issues with service quality.

    The large public bath and relaxation space maintain consistent quality. However, being told to pick up bath towels downstairs because they are not provided in the room was surprising, as I have never experienced this at any other Hotel. Even if it is a rule, the way it is communicated could be improved. Additionally, after reserving two rooms and completing payment for one during check-in, the second guest was charged for both rooms upon arrival. If we hadn't checked ourselves, we would have ended up paying twice. While the Facility quality meets Dormy Inn's usual standards, I must rate this based on the front desk service experience.

    Simply the best!

    Welcome to Dormy Inn Hatsukawasaki As expected, it was the reliable Dormy Inn. Although check-in was crowded, I was guided to the self-check-in system, which made the process smooth. The Room was perfectly clean and problem-free. The large public bath felt private every time I visited, which was great. Everything was spotless—truly the dependable Dormy Inn! I had a comfortable stay. When they said "Please visit us again" on my way out, I couldn't help but reply "Of course!" because it was such a pleasant experience. Wherever you go, you can count on them for quality service. In Kawasaki, the black hot spring offers a sense of openness and relaxation. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

    The public bath was excellent.

    The highlights were the large public bath and sauna, which were well-equipped, allowing me to enjoy multiple relaxing sessions. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I was able to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. Having massage chairs on the bath floor was also a nice touch. One concern was the noise from motorcycles late at night during my Sunday stay, as my room faced Route 15. While I understand this is unavoidable, I would prefer a room not facing Route 15 for my next stay.

    Urban Oasis

    Located a 10-minute walk from Kawasaki Station, this accommodation was initially not my first choice when staying in Kawasaki. However, my opinion changed after my first stay. The large public bath exceeded expectations with its spaciousness, unlike other Dormy Inn locations. With over 20 shower stations and a large bathtub available even late at night, it is one of the biggest highlights. Depending on the time of day, complimentary ice cream or Yakult is offered in the relaxation area after bathing, which is a delightful touch.

    The whole family was satisfied.

    This was my third stay. The room is not very spacious, and the amenities are basic, but it is sufficient as a Business Hotel. The large public bath provides a full range of skincare products. My family enjoyed the manga corner and stayed up late reading. For dinner, we bought bento boxes from outside and brought them in, but it was nice to use the free drink area. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options from Japanese to Western dishes, including steak and noodles. It was a satisfying stay.

    Onsen

    This is our second stay. We stayed here as our family wanted to visit Yokohama again. The accommodation has an Onsen, and the night ramen was very popular with my family. We would love to stay here again.

    Onsen Therapy

    Due to recovering from an illness, I often enjoy Onsen therapy when I can take a break. That day, I had work in the Yokohama area and found this accommodation in Kawasaki on my way back. The ice cream and Yakult after bathing, the late-night soba at 9:30 PM, and the breakfast were all delightful feasts that were hard to finish. There seemed to be overseas group guests staying as well, but it wasn’t too crowded, allowing for a comfortable stay. If possible, it would be helpful if the late-night soba time could start around 8:30 PM for early sleepers like me or families with children. Kawasaki is a lively city with many restaurants and enjoyable spots; I’d love to stay here again!

    Nice Hotel.

    I often stay at Dormy Inn due to its proximity to my workplace and also use other Dormy Inns during business trips. Prices have increased compared to before, likely due to inbound tourism, but the service quality remains consistent across all Dormy Inns, making it a reliable choice. The check-in and check-out machines are convenient once you get used to them. I feel that the meals have improved compared to before. The "Yonaki Soba" is one of their highlights, but seeing two staff members working hard without much room for ease while handling a long line of customers made me feel a bit sorry for them. On less busy days, I hope they can take it easier.

    A Nearby Retreat

    I live in Tokyo but visited this retreat for a getaway. It seems many guests use it in a similar way. It's convenient and easy to use, which is great. The property shows some signs of aging. Being in the city center, it can be noisy, but the Yokohama view is stunning.

    The building was clean and very pleasant.

    The building and interior were very clean and pleasant. The front desk staff provided excellent service, making the stay highly satisfying. However, the elevators were crowded in the morning and took a while to arrive, and since it was a bit far from Kawasaki Station, I had to rush to the station, which was slightly inconvenient.

    The bath was very nice.

    I was initially surprised by the black water, but I was amazed that my shoulder stiffness, back pain, and joint pain were all gone after bathing. The sauna also felt pleasant with the scent of herbs. The Room felt a bit dark; it would have been better if it were slightly brighter. The grilled fish at breakfast was tough, but everything else was delicious. I would like to stay again.

    It was the first time for the family to use it, but they seemed very satisfied. If it's a Business Hotel, they said Dormy Inn is the way to go from now on.

    Excellent.

    This time, I used it for a Multiple Night Stay. There was an Onsen (black!) and an open-air bath, which was very nice. Also, there were ice creams and other treats available after bathing, which made me feel like I got something extra. There are plenty of dining options around, so the location is excellent. As for business hotels, I think this is an overwhelmingly good Hotel. I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.

    Everything was great.

    The service, cleanliness of the facility, and everything else were excellent. The large public bath, in particular, was an on-site Onsen with the area's unique black water, and the slight salt content warmed my body. I would like to visit again.

    The views from the large public bath and lounge surpass all others.

    The view from the bath and the view from the post-bath lounge are experiences you can't have in urban areas. The water is also black, giving it a real onsen feel, and while it's not for therapeutic bathing, staying for the onsen is definitely an option. Considering the round-trip travel to Kawasaki Station and the travel time from Kawasaki Station, it may not be the best location for sightseeing in the city center, but you can still take the time to relax and heal your body from the fatigue of sightseeing in the onsen, so it's worth considering. I chose this place because I had business in Kawasaki and Yokohama, but I liked the facility so much that I would consider it as an option even when I have business in Tokyo. Highly recommended.

    We are satisfied with the cleanliness and the quality of the bath water. There is a downtown area nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding a place for dinner at night.

    This is my second time using it. A compact and efficient room. The facilities are clean and the onsen is pleasant! The ice cream after the bath is also appreciated. I would like to use it regularly!

    I enjoy the onsen with the black hot spring large bath and sauna every month with a multiple night stay. It's so relaxing that it's my monthly pleasure. I've made a reservation for next month again!

    This room had a fish...

    This room had a fishy smell. The carpet had a large stain in front of the refrigerator, which was disappointing. As mentioned in other reviews, it seems to be hit or miss. I have stayed at Dormy Inn Kawasaki several times, and in the past, there have been rooms where the motion sensor lights didn't respond and stayed on, or rooms where the air conditioning was noisy. The interior is dark gray or dark brown, which doesn't show scratches or stains but gives a dim impression. The black hot spring has a large volume of water and is warming.
