    Room and staff are excellent!

The staff were all very polite and kind, which was amazing! I stayed in the Sakura Room, and it was fantastic! The view of the Skytree from the room was incredible. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time in the room, creating wonderful memories for my elderly parents. The breakfast was also satisfying with shiny rice and high-quality side dishes. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Hospitality Accommodation

It was the best accommodation. I felt hospitality in every aspect. The clean room, tea snacks, water, coffee machine, hairdryer—everything seemed carefully selected with quality in mind. I truly appreciated how the accommodation does not rely solely on its location but strives for excellence. When I visit Tokyo again, I will definitely choose this accommodation without hesitation. Thank you for your hospitality!

Service quality that doesn't feel like a Hotel.

The service quality was surprisingly low, possibly due to the staff being too accustomed to handling foreign tourists near Kaminarimon. At check-in, an older male staff member (likely someone in a higher position) provided poor service. Despite feeling some discomfort, I completed the check-in process and received the room card key. When I reached my room's floor and tried using the card key, it didn’t work. Carrying luggage back down to reception was inconvenient, but I returned to explain the situation. The response was simply handing me another card key with "Try this one." When I asked if there would be an apology for making me come all the way back down, they gave a half-hearted "Sorry." Later, when my companion arrived at reception (a foreign national), they were greeted not with a polite welcome but immediately asked to present their residence card. If this is mandatory for check-in without prior notice, shouldn’t it have been communicated beforehand? My companion felt uncomfortable and wondered if they had done something wrong. It ruined our travel mood entirely. Breakfast on the first morning wasn’t included in our plan, so we paid an additional 8,000 yen (4,000 yen per person). However, it didn’t meet expectations for that price—only the rice cooked in an earthen pot stood out as delicious. On day two’s morning interaction with different staff members went much better; their professionalism reminded me of what hotel service should be like. I won’t return again but hope this review helps others considering staying here.

The staff and the room were wonderful.

We stayed in a barrier-free room as my companion has a disability and uses a wheelchair. The staff kindly answered our inquiries beforehand and even adjusted the bed position on the day to make it easier for wheelchair access. Additionally, while only guests can enter the room, there were table seats on the floor next to the front desk where we could enjoy meals with friends. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

    I decided to stay he...

I decided to stay here on short notice as I had a reunion with my university clubmates near Tokyo Station and wanted to avoid the hassle of taking a crowded train back home during the Friday night rush. When I returned to my Room after the gathering, Nakamise Street was completely quiet, but I enjoyed the peaceful view from my Room. I also appreciated having a delicious breakfast in a calm atmosphere. Stepping outside into the bustling city filled with countless voices, it was wonderful to find such refined tranquility here. Thank you for your hospitality and thoughtfulness. I'm truly grateful!

A Ryokan not suitable for Japanese guests, designed with inbound travelers in mind.

Asakusa attracts many foreign tourists, so targeting inbound travelers is a good idea. However, it’s important to also consider Japanese guests. The closet hanger is placed at a height that may be difficult to reach for those under 160cm tall. The bathtub lacks an overflow drain, which could be inconvenient for those who enjoy soaking in a full bath. Amenities are minimal and almost non-existent. I would not stay here again.

    The location is excellent!

The location was perfect, right next to Kaminarimon. It was very convenient to return quickly if we got tired from walking and eating around (as it gets quite crowded outside). The staff's hospitality was excellent, making our stay very pleasant. When we first entered the Room, the futon was already laid out (there was also a separate bedroom), which I appreciated since I prefer not having anyone enter the Room during my stay. Our Room had a terrace on the top floor. While it is more expensive than other Rooms, the view of Nakamise Street and Tokyo Skytree from the terrace makes it absolutely worth it. We enjoyed stepping out occasionally to take in the sights of Asakusa.

You can have a comfortable stay here.

The room is clean and spacious, and it is a nice Ryokan located 20 steps from Sensoji Temple. You can also enjoy a beautiful view of the Skytree.

    Wonderful Ryokan

Thank you for your hospitality. Thanks to you, we were able to have a wonderful New Year's. The location near Sensoji Temple, the atmosphere of the room, the facilities, the view from the room, the breakfast, and the service were all excellent at this Ryokan. The chocolates we received at the end were also delicious. It is a very tasteful Ryokan. We definitely want to stay again. Thank you very much.

    It is a wonderful Facility.

A two-night stay during the New Year period. Reserve a room that is the only one located on the top floor. The living room with tatami flooring and the separate bedroom accessible via a corridor are both extremely comfortable. Additionally, the bath, where you can enjoy the view of a quaint Japanese garden through the window from a fragrant hinoki bathtub, is truly a luxurious space. Moreover, noteworthy is the dresser with two seats adjacent to the walk-in closet. Even for a large group (used by a family of four), besides the two seats at the dresser, the bathroom is equipped with two washbasins and mirrors, allowing four people to groom themselves simultaneously. It seems there are two rooms of the same type, but for a family stay, I believe it is a room that can be highly recommended to all IKYU members. Furthermore, the Japanese set breakfast was wonderful, showcasing the chef's skill and sense. The composition of the Japanese breakfast itself is orthodox, yet the seasoning was to my liking, and I was very satisfied. Even the children, who usually don't eat much Japanese breakfast, were asking for more rice from the ohitsu in the morning. To all IKYU members who are tired of staying at hotels in Tokyo, why not take the opportunity to try this Facility?
