    Large Public Bath

    The Room was clean. It was conveniently located near Kyoto Station. I chose this property because it has a large public bath, but it was disappointing that the changing area was small and very crowded with guests leaving the bath, entering the bath, and drying their hair with the hair dryers.

    My First APA Hotel Stay in a While

    The large public bath was great, and the crowding updates were very helpful. Breakfast offered a wide variety, and I could enjoy it at a relaxed pace. There were many gelato flavors, which was fun. The bed was spacious, so I could rest comfortably. Check-out and other procedures were simple and easy.

    The table is wobbly.

    The bed is spacious, and the large TV makes the room very comfortable. However, the table was wobbly, so I didn’t feel safe placing drinks on it.

    The hot water supply in the large public bath is out of order.

    They advertise a large public bath, but it was broken and unusable. The TV information said it was available, but it wasn’t reliable. And the price was still the same.

    Hair irons are not available for rent.

    The distance from the station and the cleanliness of the room were as expected, maintaining the usual quality. However, it was disappointing that there was no hair iron available for lending. Other APA Hotels in different areas or even other hotels in Kyoto provide this service, so why is it not available at this particular APA Hotel? I made the reservation assuming that all APA Hotels would have a hair iron... I regret not choosing another hotel. I strongly hope this becomes a standard feature across the whole country. For frequent business travelers, reducing luggage is a significant advantage.

    Thorough cleaning provided...

    There were several areas where cleaning was completely neglected, such as between the wall and the bed, beside the refrigerator, and in the gap with the toilet seat lid closed, with visible dust and trash accumulated. It felt like a case of "you get what you pay for," which was very disappointing.

    APA Hotel Kyoto-Ekimae East

    Located near Kyoto Station, on the Yodobashi Camera side and behind Kyoto Bank, this hotel boasts an excellent location. In the hot and humid summers of Kyoto, you can enjoy a small but relaxing public bath and open-air bath. Bathing hours are from 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM and from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The staff were very kind and made my stay comfortable. During the July long weekend around Marine Day, a special summer event was held in the lobby near the front desk on the first floor. Guests could create their own original designs on plain fans or folding fans using watercolor paints or pens and take them home as souvenirs. I look forward to visiting again in the future! Thank you for everything!

    The location was exc...

    The location was excellent. Being close to Kyoto Station, it was convenient as they stored our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, allowing us to go sightseeing easily. The procedures were very simple, with no waiting time. The Room was clean, the bed was spacious and very comfortable to sleep on. We could see the illuminated Kyoto Tower from the Room, which was beautiful. The public bath wasn't large but provided a relaxing experience. We didn't include meals in our stay, but since Kyoto Station is nearby, finding food wasn't an issue at all.

    I was able to stay with peace of mind thanks to the stable APA quality. The room was not spacious, but the bed was large enough to relax comfortably. The public bath was also not very large, but fortunately, when I used it, there were 0-2 other users, so I could take a bath without any problems. The meals didn't have much of a Kyoto feel, which was a bit disappointing. I wished there were more types of dashimaki tamago and obanzai. Also, as with any APA, it's a shame that the room coffee is instant. If they could provide a drip type for just one cup, the satisfaction would be much higher... Since it's conveniently located near the station, I think I'll stay again when on a business trip to Kyoto.
