    An Unexpected Turn of Events

    The Room we were shown at check-in was shockingly unclean (trash scattered around and the sheets left in a mess). When I called the front desk in a hurry, they told me they would clean it now and asked me to wait 30 minutes. Since we had plans, that was not acceptable; after going back and forth several times, we were finally moved to another Room that had been cleaned. There wasn’t even a simple apology—just a cold, procedural response.

    Large Public Bath

    Everything was new and spotless, and the washing area in the large public bath offered excellent privacy. The tub was also very spacious, so I could relax and soak—absolutely satisfied. The location near the station was perfect, too! The staff were very kind, making this my No. 1 Hotel I want to visit again.

    The bath was wonderful.

    It’s very convenient, located next to Takayama Aka. The Room was a comfortable size, and we had a pleasant stay. The bath was wonderful, and the welcome drinks available until 4:30 were a nice touch—being able to enjoy beer after bathing was an appreciated service. The meals were neither particularly good nor bad, but the meat was delicious.

    After-party

    It was disappointing that the Room was small and that we could only use one bath towel. The meals were very delicious, especially the Hida beef steak for dinner and the rice porridge for breakfast. Overall, we were satisfied.

    Everything was excellent!

    I really loved the Room with a mini-kitchen (with an IH cooktop). It was great being able to buy ingredients at the supermarket and cook dinner exactly the way I like. And then soaking in the large public Onsen bath afterward—nothing could be better! I highly recommend this Hotel! However, there are far too few parking spaces at the Hotel. The affiliated parking lot is also too far away (about a 10-minute walk), so I think it’s much more convenient to park near the station instead.

    The location near Ta...

    The location near Takayama Station was excellent and very convenient. Takayama sightseeing was close by, and as a couple in our 70s, we were able to enjoy about a two-hour walk. The Hotel staff were kind, so we felt comfortable staying there. We had both breakfast and dinner, and the meals were delicious. We would like to stay again and would recommend this Hotel to friends.

    Facility

    Its direct connection to the station, allowing guests to enter without getting wet in the rain, is a real plus. The exterior design, interior decor, and Facility all had a distinctly Takayama atmosphere, which was wonderful. The compact layout made it comfortable and easy to stay in.

    A comfortable Hotel visible from the station!

    This is a new Hotel next to the police box in front of the station. It’s very convenient to leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out, so you can continue sightseeing around train and bus schedules. There is also a welcome drink until 16:30, and international guests seemed to be enjoying it. The Room is simple and practical, with a washing machine and microwave. Detergent is provided as well, which made it easy to do laundry before heading home and reduced the hassle after returning. The instructions were available in about four languages. There is a large public bath, and each Room also has a private bath. You need to bring towels from your Room, but I felt it would be even better if there were an extra face towel for use at both the sink area and the public bath, or if wet towels could be exchanged. For dinner, the main dish was Hida beef in a satisfying portion that was easy to finish. The half-buffet included soba noodles, tempura, and local dishes, so we were very satisfied. Breakfast also featured local specialties such as hoba miso. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Takayama.

    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located near the station, allowing for easy luggage storage and light travel for sightseeing. I was delighted to purchase whole peppercorns at the hotel, as Hida is famous for its sansho peppers, and other places only offered powdered versions. The ability to watch Netflix and YouTube in the room was a great bonus. There were many international guests staying. Some were seen using their phones in the public bath or making drinks outside of the designated welcome drink hours, which caught my attention. While this is not an issue with the hotel itself, it did stand out to me. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you very much!

    Number of Parking Spaces

    The affiliated parking lot is far, and there is no drop-off area. The meals were mediocre, especially the buffet. The check-in waiting time was too long. The Onsen was excellent. The clock in the room had stopped; battery-operated clocks might not be ideal.

    Good.

    I stayed here the night before heading to Kamikochi, and having a washing machine in the room was very helpful as it was still quite hot and I would sweat easily. The Onsen was pleasant, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Being close to the station, I would love to stay here again when visiting Takayama next time.

    Clean and comfortable facility, fully satisfying meals.

    I stayed during the September holiday. The restaurant staff's service, the cleanliness of the Room and bathing Facility were very satisfying, and I enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. However, the parking lot within the Hotel has a limited number of spaces, so I couldn't use it and had to park at a nearby lot on the other side of the railway tracks, which was a bit far. It would be better if closer parking could be secured for guests. I was also surprised by how many foreign visitors there were during my stay, perhaps due to the season. The front desk staff seemed slightly overwhelmed by this, which left me feeling that their service could have been more attentive.

    Convenient Hotel

    Conveniently located near the station, the Facility offers a large public bath with two different atmospheres on a rotation system. However, there are some drawbacks: limited parking spaces require guests to use nearby private parking lots, and the breakfast selection seemed slightly lacking compared to other Hotels in a similar price range. Overall, it is highly rated, and I would consider staying again if given the opportunity.

    The parking lot felt small for the size of the Hotel, though I understand it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The large public bath was relaxing, but having a sauna Facility would make it even better. The toilet in the Room felt slightly cramped, and the placement of the toilet paper holder was too far back on the left side—perhaps difficult for international guests to reach. It would be great if this could be improved. The front desk staff and restaurant staff during breakfast seemed inexperienced in handling busy times, appearing flustered and somewhat lacking in friendliness as a result. Compared to staff at similar-class Hotels in other tourist destinations like Kyoto, there seemed to be a slight difference in quality. However, the Room was very clean and had a large TV which I appreciated. I would like to visit again if given another opportunity.

    A clean Hotel near the station

    Thank you for your hospitality. Thanks to you, I had a pleasant stay. Although the bathwater was slightly too hot, the bathing area was excellent. The breakfast buffet was satisfying in both quality and variety. The shop next to the front desk was well-stocked, and I used it multiple times. However, it would be nice if mineral water could be provided in the Room. Also, it would be appreciated if the number of restrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors could be increased a bit more. Overall, I think this is a very cost-effective Hotel. I look forward to staying here again next time!

    It was a very comfortable and warm Hotel.

    We stayed in a family room with a wheelchair-using family member. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a perfect barrier-free design. Everything from the entrance to the room was flat, and all indoor doors were sliding doors with wide openings, making it very convenient for wheelchair access. We greatly appreciated this feature. The washing and drying machine provided was extremely useful during our stay. The bathroom was also designed to be very user-friendly for individuals with physical disabilities, allowing us to bathe safely and comfortably. During meals, we received thoughtful care and were able to enjoy delicious meat dishes and a buffet thanks to your hospitality. Thank you so much for everything. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff deeply touched our hearts. Our memories of Takayama have become truly happy ones, filled with gratitude.

    Great location, excellent service

    I stayed for a multiple night stay with my elderly parents. I was surprised to find beer included as a welcome drink. The Onsen was hot, and there was also a foot bath, which was refreshing and made my parents very happy.

    It was a satisfying accommodation!

    The hotel was stylish, new, and very pleasant. The front desk staff were attentive, and although breakfast time was busy, they guided us efficiently, making it stress-free. The location is excellent for exploring the city, and having a coffee machine available anytime in addition to the welcome drink was a nice touch. However, guests need to bring their room towels to the public bath. Since each person only gets one bath towel and one face towel, it would be helpful to have an additional face towel or even a hand towel for use in the bathroom. Without an extra face towel, it’s inconvenient as there’s nothing to dry off with when returning from the dressing area; this often left the locker area wet and unpleasant. Additionally, as mentioned in other reviews, there is no makeup mirror in the room which could be slightly inconvenient for trips with friends. Overall though, I had a very satisfying stay at this hotel and would love to visit again!

    I would like to use it again.

    The cuisine, room, and Onsen were all very satisfying. The location was also convenient as it was close to the station, which was helpful since I had a suitcase. I especially appreciated the high level of security when using the elevator and entering the Onsen, which gave me peace of mind. I would love to stay at this Hotel again.

    The location is excellent.

    Located right next to Takayama Station, so it's easy to find. The building is new, and the Room was spacious and clean. We chose the plan with two meals included, which featured a half-buffet with plenty of salads. It would be even better with more fruit options, but we were satisfied overall. The foot bath and observation lounge were also spacious and enjoyable.

    The respect for the ...

    The respect for the culture of Takayama is wonderful. The cleanliness level is not bad, but due to static electricity, the hair of the previous guest was scattered, which was a bit concerning. The Onsen was spacious, allowing for a leisurely soak. It is understandable that inbound guests may not fully understand the rules of the Onsen, but it would be nice if there was more understanding, as the bathhouse can be noisy and the floor of the changing room can be wet.

    A hotel near the station with a sense of cleanliness.

    Overall, it is a very impressive Hotel. Thank you to the reception staff for their courteous service. However, there are two points regarding the staff during meals. First, while I appreciate the polite explanations, it is unpleasant when someone speaks directly over the food with their mask hanging on their chin. Second, regarding the clearing of used dishes, right after I declined one staff member, another came and took them away. It was unpleasant as the staff member (an older man) gave off a feeling of wanting us to leave quickly.

    Very clean and nice, but the bath is too crowded.

    A property with state-of-the-art facilities, directly connected to the station for high convenience and utility. If only the bath could be improved a bit... but other than that, it offers a high level of satisfaction. It's perfect for a morning walk, and even if the parking lot is full, they guide you to an affordable affiliated parking lot nearby.
