    Spacious Room

    This was my third stay. I usually book a single, but this was my first time staying in a twin Room, and it also had a spacious unit bath with no cramped feeling. However, the jinbei is made of the same fabric year-round, so it felt hot.

    Located next to Sawa...

    Located next to Sawara Station with excellent access, making it convenient for business stays. However, I was woken early by the sound of trains, including the first service of the day, which is unavoidable given how close it is to the station.

    Such a highly satisfying Hotel in Sawara...

    To visit both Kashima Shrine and Katori Shrine in one trip, we chose this Hotel and decided to stay in Sawara. It was our first time at Route Inn, and to be honest, we went in with low expectations thinking it would just be a place to sleep—so it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent: right in front of the station and next to the police box. Within walking distance you’ll find Sawara’s historic streets, great restaurants, and convenience stores—everything you need. On the first floor there is a large public bath and a coin laundry; we stayed for one night this time, but even on a Multiple Night Stay you could pack light. The Room is small at 15 m², but there’s no wasted space, so it’s practical and very comfortable. The breakfast selection was far more extensive than you’d expect for something free, and it was delicious—another nice surprise. Sawara is perfect for a short getaway, and since this Hotel is reasonably priced, staying here makes it easy to take two days to explore at a relaxed pace. Perhaps because it was iris season, May was almost fully booked… I’d like to visit again at a different time. Thank you very much.

    Too cost-effective!

    The room, amenities, and lobby are all standard for a Business Hotel, but everything is kept clean and comfortable. The large public bath, though not an Onsen, is spacious enough to stretch out and relax after a long journey. The breakfast offers a standard Japanese-Western buffet where you can enjoy as much as you like of your favorite dishes. The welcome coffee in the lobby was also appreciated for a quick drink after meals or sightseeing. With great cost performance, this Accommodation is one I would like to use again.

    Always a Comfortable Hotel

    Conveniently located near the station, cultural center, and Compass, making it a great choice for events in Sawara. Even as a local resident, I often use Route Inn for its convenience without staying overnight. The large bath and the breakfast buffet are popular among many guests. However, I feel the quality of the buffet has slightly declined over the past few years, which is a bit disappointing. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will likely return again!

    A tourist destination Hotel that combines the best features of business hotels.

    I stayed here for sightseeing purposes. The location is very convenient, just steps away from the station! Having a police box next door also provided a great sense of security. They kindly stored my carry-on luggage in the morning, allowing me to easily visit Katori Shrine using the bus departing from the station. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and with a large public bath available, it's more than sufficient for an overnight stay after a full day of sightseeing. You can also walk to Sawara's historic district or explore Sawara effortlessly by purchasing a circular bus pass. The casual atmosphere of this business hotel was surprisingly comfortable, and the room was modern and pleasant to stay in. Breakfast was delicious as well! I would love to stay here again when visiting Sawara. Thank you very much!

    It would be better to enhance the cleaning aspect...

    I was surprised to find a half-drunk juice from a previous guest in the refrigerator. Was the cleaning of the refrigerator neglected? I contacted the front desk, but they just took the juice without cleaning the refrigerator. There were also hairs on the bathroom floor, which made me feel uncomfortable, so I ended up wiping everything down with alcohol tissues myself. It's very disappointing, especially since the breakfast and the large public bath were good. I think the Hotel itself is a good Facility.

    I have repeated many times.

    One of the attractions is the rare large public bath in the city. Although I am a local of Sawara, I often use this place because of the convenience of activities during my stay. While general city and nearby guides for sightseeing and shopping are certainly good, I would be delighted to have information on culturally local events at places like the cultural center or Compass (since there are quite a few happening). It might be difficult for large companies to establish such connections, but personally, I feel a warm atmosphere when I see ties with local activities like shopping streets and city events.
