    This is a hotel with a new style.

    It was unfortunately raining on the day of my stay. I arrived in Kyoto before the bullet train stopped running and went straight to the Hotel. It was 1:00 p.m., and check-in starts at 2:00 p.m. In my experience, if the Room is ready, early check-in of about one hour is often allowed, but here I was charged 3,000 yen per hour. I wish I had known in advance, but since the weather across The whole country was severe, I paid 3,000 yen and stayed in without going out. It’s my fault for not knowing, but it couldn’t be helped. Breakfast was excellent.

    I’d love to come just for dinner.

    The food was unbelievably delicious. The restaurant staff were so friendly, which made it taste even better. However, it was the day of a heavy snowfall and severe cold wave, so it was freezing. We really appreciated being able to borrow a padded jacket. The large public bath brought us back to life.

    The Hotel was full of an outdoor vibe!

    The hotel is located just a few minutes from Kyoto Station, though on the opposite side of the main north exit, making it very accessible. The entrance door of the Hotel was designed to remain open, allowing outside air to flow in. This unique architectural design was different from typical hotels and initially surprising. However, with several fireplaces and wood-burning stoves placed around, warmth was maintained for a comfortable stay. (That said, I am concerned about the cold temperatures from December to March and the heat during summer.) The entire building has an open structure, so it seems that outdoor temperatures may affect guests until they reach their rooms from the hotel front desk. Since my visit was in early November when it wasn’t too cold yet, the real flames burning inside created an outdoor-like atmosphere with a pleasant ambiance. With about 80% of guests being international visitors, it felt like traveling abroad. From around 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the first-floor restaurant and lobby area, there were live music performances (acoustic guitar and female vocals featuring post-1970s pop songs), which I thoroughly enjoyed. The room had a terrace; however, with Kyoto’s minimum temperature being 9°C in November, relaxing outside wasn’t possible. Although not an Onsen bathhouse facility as such, there was a moderately spacious bath area with a salt sauna that exceeded my expectations since I hadn’t anticipated much beforehand. Note that this bath is located in another building across the street requiring about 10 seconds of walking outdoors—this might feel chilly during winter. In addition to these amenities within its lobby space lies complimentary access towards utilizing café corners where freshly ground coffee beans could be brewed manually into aromatic cups post-check-in/post-bathing/outdoor excursions alike! Inside each Room itself provided slightly larger-than-standard business accommodations equipped alongside sofa-table setups proving useful conveniences amidst stays lasting two nights inclusive optional cleaning services upon request ensuring satisfaction overall! Soundproofing measures implemented further enhanced restful experiences therein!

    Conveniently located near the station.

    Close to the station and convenient with a nearby convenience store. There was no microwave in the Room, but the drink service in the lobby was excellent. The breakfast was very luxurious and delicious, thank you!

    We have been using this place every year for my husband's birthday for the past five years. This time, due to certain circumstances, we couldn't go on his birthday, so we decided to visit for our wedding anniversary instead. While it's understandable that restaurant prices have increased given the current times, it felt like the menu options were fewer than before. Although it might be presumptuous of me, I was a little disappointed that we didn't receive champagne as usual despite mentioning it was a special occasion. However, the hospitality and service were as satisfying as always.

    Wonderful Hotel

    I finally had the chance to stay at this long-awaited hotel. The architecture is unique compared to other accommodations, and the atmosphere at night is especially wonderful, making me feel as if I were on an overseas trip. The room was spacious enough with a large sofa and terrace, allowing for a relaxing stay. I chose a dinner-included plan, which was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The live singing and performances added a special touch, reflecting the hotel's care for its guests and creating a truly memorable experience. Although it was slightly disappointing that there was no complimentary water in the room, the tea service was well-prepared. This has become one of my favorite accommodations where I definitely want to stay again. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

    I have been using this accommodation for 5-6 years as my regular place to stay in Kyoto. I appreciate its convenience within walking distance of Kyoto Station, the free drink service, cost-effective meals (breakfast and dinner), and appropriate hospitality. However, during this stay, I noticed the following issues: (1) The room window faces the windows of the opposite building, requiring curtains to remain closed. (2) The room has only two wall outlets near the entrance door, which is inconvenient for charging smartphones. (3) The structure under the room's table does not allow legs to fit comfortably underneath, forcing an awkward sitting posture. (4) In the shared bath area, there are no towels provided for washing your body; guests must bring their bath towels from their rooms. Only one set of bath towels is provided per room, so if you bathe multiple times a day, you need to dry and reuse them. I request that two sets of bath towels be provided in each room. (5) Please provide glasses for use in the rooms.

    Thank you for taking care of us.

    I was considering canceling due to the approaching typhoon, but thank you for consulting with me. Since there was no impact from the typhoon, I decided to go. As always, the breakfast was particularly delicious, and I was very satisfied. The room assigned this time had a slight perfume smell, but other than that, I was very satisfied and had a pleasant stay. Thank you.
