    It was very comfortable.

    In addition to 24-hour lobby service with coffee and cold tea, we also enjoyed wine from 15:00 to 20:00 and shaved ice, which was a very thoughtful touch. The location was extremely convenient for getting anywhere, and since it’s right by Exit 1, we really appreciated not having to walk far to the station in the summer heat. We would definitely love to stay again.

    Your preferred Hotel chain

    On my return to Kyoto after staying in Osaka Shinsaibashi and Kyoto Shijo, I chose to stay here this time. First of all, it’s incredibly close—just a 1-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station! You do have to go up the long stairs at Exit 1, but being able to use the station without being affected by the weather was very convenient. It’s also close to a bus stop, and you can get to Gion, Kyoto City Hall, Imadegawa, and more directly on one line, which makes it very convenient. However, there was some construction work next door starting in the morning, so the noise bothered me a little. The Room is compact but clean, and having the bath and sink area separated made for a comfortable stay. I’m always quietly happy when there are bath salts among the amenities—it really helped me unwind after a long day. I also liked the balance of the downlights in the Room; it felt calm and relaxing at night. Next time I come to Kyoto, I’d love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    Kyoto Business Trip

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days on a business trip. Only a twin Room was available, but it was spacious and comfortable. On the first night, the neighboring Room was noisy until late, with loud banging sounds, so I couldn’t sleep well. I was worried about the second night too, but it was quiet and restful. I went to Gion on both days, and the nearby bus stop made it very convenient. One thing that concerned me was that the Room slippers were not individually packaged, so I couldn’t tell whether they were disposable. It may be for eco-friendly reasons, but I wondered if they were reused, which made me uncomfortable. I bought socks at a nearby convenience store and used the slippers that way, so that point was a bit disappointing. Next time I stay here, I plan to bring my own slippers.

    The female staff mem...

    The female staff member’s service was excellent. The Room we were first shown was extremely noisy due to construction, and when we asked if anything could be done, a male staff member coldly refused. Shortly after, the female staff member called us back and moved us to a Room where we couldn’t hear the noise. We truly appreciate her help. The Room was also very clean, and it’s a Hotel I would like to stay at again. Please let me stay here again.

    It was conveniently located in the city center and very comfortable.

    The Room we initially thought was on the first floor was actually on the second floor, and it was more comfortable than we expected. It had all the necessary features and a cozy interior, and best of all, the toilet and bath were separate. The amenities and drinks on the first floor were plentiful, as were the daily snacks and spices. Thank you very much.

    Eco???

    It’s our fault for not reading carefully before making the Reservation, but there is no cleaning service for three days. You clean every day at home too, right—your bathroom and toilet? There are no cleaning supplies, so we can’t clean ourselves. The shower drain gets clogged, and the bathtub feels gritty. We didn’t even book an eco-discount plan... I don’t know what’s “eco” about it, but is not cleaning really eco-friendly?

    I had a comfortable stay and felt at ease thanks to the attentive service.

    Thank you for hosting me for one night. The Hotel is close to the nearest station, and the single Room (probably limited) had a separate bath and toilet, which was an excellent value for me. When I left my luggage before check-in, I really appreciated the service of bringing it to my Room—this was a first among the Business Hotels I’ve used. All the staff were pleasant, and I had a very comfortable stay. The Room was also easy to use and comfortable. Personally, I was happy that the toothbrush with a wavy head was easy to use. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Kyoto. Thank you very much.

    Great location.

    Exit 1 of Karasuma Oike Station (there are many stairs, which can be challenging) is very close once you come up. There are also many restaurants nearby. The single Room comes with a separate bath area, while the Superior Single and Twin Rooms have unit baths (not cramped). This time, I stayed in a Twin Room for single use. Cleaning can be chosen daily using a door tag for "No Cleaning" or "Cleaning." If you choose no cleaning, towels and water will be provided in a paper bag hanging on the doorknob. There is a washing machine on the first floor, which was very helpful during summer. After check-out, I planned to head to Osaka, and the front desk staff kindly explained an easy route for me—much appreciated! Depending on the season, this Hotel offers reasonable prices and excellent service. I would love to stay here again! The only downside was that the hairdryer had low power and took longer to dry my hair.

    Comfortable Stay

    This was my second stay. The purpose was sightseeing. The easy access to the subway and buses made transportation very convenient, which is essential for travelers. Additionally, having many convenience stores, restaurants, and cafes nearby provided great options depending on the mood or need at the time. Lastly, I must mention the excellent service from the staff (cleaning, towel replenishment, lobby attendants). Everyone worked efficiently, and I never faced any issues. The always clean Room and towels, along with cheerful greetings in the lobby, made my stay very comfortable. Thank you very much! I would love to stay at this Hotel again in the future.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    This was my first time staying here. The Room was comfortable. If I may suggest, having a small desk space for simple tasks would be appreciated, but since it was just a one-night stay, it wasn’t an issue.

    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located near the station, it's rare to find a Room with separate bath and toilet even for single occupancy, which is greatly appreciated. While the bathtub isn't large enough to stretch out completely, it allows for a relaxing soak that relieves fatigue and prepares you for the next day's plans. The breakfast offers a moderate variety, but even as someone who dislikes carrots, I enjoyed multiple servings of the delicious potage soup. The curry was authentic and satisfying as well. Oh, and I absolutely loved the cheesecake—I could eat an entire one! I’ll definitely stay here again on my next solo trip. Thank you very much!

    A Fulfilling Stay

    This was my first stay at this accommodation. First, regarding the location, it is conveniently situated just off Karasuma Street, making it very accessible by subway and bus. It perfectly matched my travel plan. The hotel staff provided polite and prompt service, allowing me to feel at ease during my stay. Not only the front desk but also the cleaning staff throughout the facility were courteous and greeted warmly. The room was clean and equipped with all necessary amenities. Additionally, I appreciated the facial cleanser and lotion provided near the front desk. I also made use of the coffee maker placed nearby every morning (as a warm cup of coffee was essential during my 4-night stay). I look forward to staying at this hotel again in the future.     I stayed for two nights to attend an event. The location near Karasuma Oike offers excellent access. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Kyoto for business.

    I would like to stay again.

    The Room is very clean. The breakfast is well thought out with plenty of vegetables. It was nice to have a handmade map and a printout with the schedule. It's also close to the station, and I would like to use it again.

    The breakfast is delicious.

    Stayed for two nights at a leisurely pace. The location is convenient, the room is a bit small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a wide variety and I ended up eating too much. I will use it again if I have the opportunity.

    It was a very beautiful Hotel.

    Although it was a stay during a three-day weekend, the breakfast venue was spacious enough to use comfortably due to the not overly large number of rooms, and there was no crowding at the front desk, allowing for a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and beautiful, and the bathroom was equipped with a washing area, allowing for spacious use. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The oboro tofu, soy milk bread, and Kyoto-style motsunabe were particularly delicious! The only concern was that when I checked in at 8 PM, there was no one at the front desk, which made me feel a little uneasy, especially since it was nighttime. However, the check-in machine was easy to understand, so I was able to use it without any confusion.

    The separation of the bath and toilet is definitely the best!

    I have stayed at Shizutetsu Hotel Prezio in Shijo before, but this was my first time at Karasuma Oike. First of all, the access from the subway was better and easier to understand than Shijo. Also, the separate bath and toilet unique to Shizutetsu Prezio is clean and calming. The Kyoto-style motsunabe with white miso for breakfast was delicious, and I had seconds. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

    The biggest advantag...

    The biggest advantage is that it is in a very quiet and convenient location. The facilities are also clean and there are no issues. I don't like the automated check-in, but I guess it's inevitable in this day and age.

    It was a pleasant surprise that despite being just a minute from the subway station, the location was quiet and the room was new. In the lobby, you could have coffee, and there were several printed materials with useful information, which made me feel the hospitality of the hotel staff. The slippers were made of high-quality towel material, and the towels and room wear were also of high quality. The room amenities were well-equipped. The bath had a separate washing area, and hot water was readily available. The breakfast was also fulfilling, with Kyoto-style motsu soup and more. I've decided to become a repeat customer.
