    Great value for money!

Reservation with No Meals Included. I’ve stayed in this area many times, and for a twin room of this size at this price, it was excellent! I didn’t realize there was no bathtub when I made the Reservation, but since it was summer, it wasn’t an issue.

The clientele and the service are both extremely poor.

I only needed a place to sleep for an errand, so I made a Reservation thinking a Royal Park–affiliated property would be fine. The twin Room was 20,000 yen per night. It’s cheap, but considering the Kitahama location, the value for money is poor. There’s no space to open a suitcase except on the bed. Amenities are self-serve from a shelf in front of the front desk. I was genuinely shocked by how low-quality the skincare/cosmetics were—so much so that even I, with non-sensitive skin, found them painful. I recommend that women bring their own. There was only an empty water pitcher and the fridge was empty. Even though it’s self check-in/out, they don’t provide even water service, yet it still feels overpriced. On top of that, the Room reeked of extremely strong perfume. It smelled so bad I couldn’t sleep, so I asked to change rooms—but this is something they should have noticed with proper checks during cleaning. It felt like they were treating guests with contempt. The floor space is so narrow there isn’t even room to pass someone, yet they’ve put in a sofa too small to sit on and a token table—I don’t understand why they’re there at all. Please don’t place cushions that who-knows-who touched on unused pillows. In such a tight space they’re just in the way, aren’t they? It made me feel really uncomfortable and irritated. The slippers were reused; it felt unhygienic so I didn’t use them. They’re also sized only for an average-sized Japanese woman—my husband couldn’t even get his toes in. In the lounge late at night, a foreign child was watching a tablet at full volume. When I asked staff to warn them—since it’s also an area where alcohol is served late at night and the child was alone—they spoke to them briefly but the child stayed there without moving. On top of that, another heavily tattooed foreign guest was watching soccer on a PC at full volume; another foreign group was loudly playing games as well. An older foreign couple left quickly, and we also went back up to our Room. Because hotels with poor checks tend to have dirty floors (and this one did), after showering we kept our shoes on until we went to sleep. I don’t know what kind of guests this place is targeting, but it felt like nothing more than a Business Hotel with some “photo spot” corners for social media. I absolutely do not recommend it. I’ve decided not to stay at any Royal Park–affiliated Accommodation again either—they should seriously reflect on this experience.”

    I don’t understand why.

I have stayed here several times. The recurring issue is that the Wi‑Fi in the Room does not connect. Even after entering the password, it won’t connect. I tried repeatedly, but it didn’t work. Previously, I reported this to the front desk and tried logging in right in front of them, but it was not resolved. This time, even my personal mobile Wi‑Fi could not connect inside the Room. It would work in the hallway, but the moment I entered the Room, the connection dropped. I tried reconnecting in the hallway and then going back into the Room over and over, but with the same result. In the end, I couldn’t work in my Room at all, and I also couldn’t do things I was looking forward to such as watching videos. Instead, I worked in the lounge from morning until afternoon the next day using my own mobile Wi‑Fi. I wonder if other guests are experiencing similar issues. If this environment continues, it makes me reconsider staying here in the future.

For use during a business trip to Osaka.

I chose this accommodation for a 2-day business trip to Osaka due to its convenient location near the station and proximity to Umeda. (The Royal Park is my regular choice in Kyoto, both at Shijo and Sanjo, so I felt reassured by the same brand.) The direct connection to the station exit and the well-maintained facilities gave me peace of mind upon check-in. Above all, every staff member's professional and smart service made my stay very comfortable. Next time, I would like to visit for sightseeing rather than work. During that visit, I plan to consult with the hotel staff about dining options around Kitahama since many restaurants were closed during this long weekend. The Royal Park is a reliable choice for stays in any prefecture, so I highly recommend it!

The front desk always provides very polite and pleasant service, even when it is busy with international guests. The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the cleanliness of the Room is impeccable.

    I had a stress-free and comfortable stay.

We stayed as a family for the Osaka Expo and some errands in the city. There are many types of accommodations, making it hard to compare, but I think this is a very good hotel. The location is convenient for transportation, and you can access the subway without getting wet on rainy days. There are plenty of dining options nearby, offering a wide variety of choices. For multiple night stays, having a coin laundry within the hotel was very helpful. Personally, I liked that the pajamas were of a separate type. The room type I stayed in had no bathtub but featured a shower room that was very easy to use. It was bright, functional, and provided a comfortable stay at an excellent hotel!

I had a quiet and relaxing time.

During my Obon holiday visit, I stayed for one night alone. At first, I encountered a lively group of foreign guests near the entrance and worried it might be noisy at night, but my stay was very peaceful and relaxing. Most of the other guests I saw were from Western countries. The guest room had charming tiles in the shower room that lifted my mood, and having the sink on the bedroom side was also convenient. Breakfast was delightful, especially the French toast. The location is excellent, with Nakanoshima just a short walk away, allowing me to enjoy both evening and morning strolls. Since walking to Nakanoshima Museum during midday summer heat seemed challenging for me, I opted to take the Keihan train instead. The front desk staff were kind and helpful; I'd love to stay here again in the future. Thank you!

The lounge is spacious and available until midnight, which was great. There’s a complimentary drink service for alcohol, and unlimited water from the jug is convenient. The curry at breakfast was delicious. While Ginza 8 was also nice, this place offers excellent quality for its current price range.

    We stayed in a Delux...

We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room for three people in late April. The accommodation was overall new, clean, and stylish, providing a very comfortable experience. Despite being during the Expo period, the rates were relatively affordable. Considering the location and facilities, it offered excellent value for money. Amenities were plentiful but popular items seemed to run out quickly after check-in, so we recommend picking them up early. There was an international atmosphere with many guests from abroad. The donuts served at breakfast were particularly delicious and memorable. The bathroom with a washing area was convenient and made our stay stress-free even with three people. One downside was that the elevator wait times were slightly long; having access to stairs would have been helpful. Additionally, there was a stain on the bathroom floor resembling gum residue which stood out given how clean everything else was. Depending on which exit you use at the nearest station, there may be no elevator available and stairs might be necessary—something to keep in mind if you have large luggage. That said, the front desk staff provided courteous service overall, making it a very satisfying stay. We would definitely choose this accommodation again when visiting Osaka next time!

Enjoy a space where you can fully relax with live music while sipping on an alcoholic drink using the complimentary drink coin provided. Although I was initially concerned about arriving at different times from my companion during check-in, the reception staff handled it flexibly, ensuring there was no confusion. On the accommodation floor, there is a machine that provides ice and water, which I found to be quite unique. The entrance to the washroom area is tiled and separated from the bedroom by a partition curtain, creating a private space for changing or undressing. The convenience of accessing outside via stairs from the reception floor was particularly helpful during busy morning elevator hours.

Why is this a 3-star? A new but poorly designed Business Hotel, perhaps?

Close to Kitahama Station. This is a standard Business Hotel, comparable to APA Hotel. While new, the interior design lacks taste and does not feel clean at all. No large public bath Facility available. The Room is a twin but very small. Breakfast is available for 1,800 yen per person; however, the FamilyMart on the first floor offers a wide variety of products from food to clothing essentials. You might find breakfast there more satisfying as the hotel's breakfast quality feels subpar, with even basic items like rice being disappointing in quality. For an additional 3,000 yen per person, you could stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Premium located just a 10-minute walk away. It offers much better service with stylish and clean interiors that don't show their age despite being over ten years old. The front desk staff are professional, there's a large public bath Facility available, and Rooms are well-maintained with great attention to detail. Additionally, they provide convenient Shuttle Service to Osaka Station and have an excellent lounge upstairs where you can enjoy delicious breakfast options. While this hotel is conveniently located near the station, other options might offer better value for your stay. The front desk staff here are not particularly efficient and overall service feels average at best.

Stylish Hotel with Surprisingly Good Access

This Hotel is part of the same group as the iconic one I used to stay at, but it offers a completely new and unique experience. Despite the challenges of night shifts, all staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their work, with warm smiles that made conversations comfortable and reassuring. The amenities included daily changing packs and cosmetics featuring argan oil, which was a first for me. However, I think having bath salts would make it even better. Breakfast was excellent with fresh ingredients like salmon, non-frozen broccoli, tomatoes, and soft scrambled eggs cooked in butter. Although I couldn’t try everything, everything I had was delicious and highly satisfying. While Kitahama might seem inconvenient if you have lots of luggage, there’s an underground passage connecting Yodoyabashi Station to Kitahama Station. The 1B exit at Kitahama Station leads directly to an elevator in the building next door (Osaka Exchange), allowing you to reach the Hotel almost without getting wet on rainy days. It’s also easy to travel with suitcases since Shin-Osaka is just one train ride away via Midosuji Line from Yodoyabashi Station. The table lamp in the Room's interior design was stunning; I tried searching for it online but couldn’t find it anywhere! If given another opportunity, I would love to stay here again someday. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Hotel I want to stay at again

I have used Iconic Osaka Midosuji several times and decided to make a Reservation here for the first time because it is reasonably priced. Although it’s a bit of a walk from the Midosuji Line, I enjoyed strolling around Kitahama, Yodoyabashi, and Dojima. The hotel is conveniently located right near the station exit with a convenience store adjacent to it. The entrance, lounge, and Room all have a vibrant atmosphere, and the staff were polite yet approachable. Since everything was new and well-cleaned, my wife with allergies was fine even without an air purifier. The separate bath and toilet with a spacious bathtub helped us relax after tiring days. While breakfast didn’t offer many options, dishes like meat udon soup and curry were delicious; there were also cute donuts that made me eat too much! However, I couldn’t find any juice where milk is usually placed—perhaps it wasn’t provided or was in another location? I noticed some tourists from Western countries staying here as well but found it not too crowded during this season for comfortable accommodation. Next time I stay here again, I’ll definitely try the welcome drink that I missed this time due to lack of time!

A high-value Hotel offering more than a business hotel but less than a luxury hotel.

Stay on Saturday with a breakfast-included plan. Enjoy 1-2 complimentary drinks, either alcohol or juice, at the lounge on the second floor. Additionally, there is a coffee server available, making it an excellent space for both work and casual conversations. Power outlets are also provided. In the evening, stylish mini-concerts are occasionally held, giving you the feeling of traveling abroad while staying in Japan. Most guests are international travelers, creating an overseas-like atmosphere. This hotel is ideal for well-dressed business professionals under 40 or tourists; casual company employees may feel out of place. Breakfast is served buffet-style with plenty of vegetables available, leaving guests highly satisfied. The room is clean and comfortable but only has a shower. Guests who prefer soaking in a bathtub should take note. Recommended for those who want to enjoy a touch of luxury without paying high-end hotel prices.

    Because it may become unavailable

I have used this place multiple times, but it was my first time staying in a room with only a shower. The rain shower was great, the space was large, and I had no complaints at all. If I praise it any more, it might become impossible to get a reservation, so I'll just say that transferring on the Sakaisuji Line can be inconvenient as a filter.

    Three Multiple Night Stay

I stayed for three nights but fell ill and mostly rested. This is not a building where you can relax, so it is not suitable for such purposes. At check-in, I felt a strong impression of an unsettling, dark atmosphere, like a pachinko parlor or a high-end karaoke room. Mineral water in plastic bottles is provided at the front desk upon request. The hotel's response is, "From an eco-friendly perspective, we do not provide bottled water in the guest rooms. We have flavored water available in the lounge on the second floor, but for guests who prefer bottled water, we provide one bottle per day at the front desk." If it's about being eco-friendly, how about preparing glass pitchers in each room for guests to fill from the flavored water in the lounge? Hoshinoya has also introduced water jugs, and considering options like paper, glass, or biodegradable PET might be worth exploring. If it's given upon request, I would prefer it to be provided from the start. Or, if not provided, I can buy it at the convenience store next door. Since I stayed for three nights and was unwell, it was inconvenient to change clothes and go down to the front desk every day. Regarding the bathroom, even without a bathtub, the rain shower had a wide diameter and a broad water coverage, so it was easy to warm up without any issues. The shelf next to the shower had almost no gaps, making it easy to place pouches for face wash and other items. The room was surprisingly small, with no sunlight, and despite it being midwinter, the air was humid and I had to use the air conditioning. The TV remote was slow to respond, and on the last day, it seemed to break as only one channel was available. I wanted to leave quickly and spent my stay wishing for my health to recover. Overall, it was efficient and waste-free, more appealing to Westerners than Asians, so there were no people shouting in the hallways, which was a positive point. I thought breakfast in the lounge wasn't necessary. I skipped it on two out of the three days. There is also Ueshima Coffee right in front. The orange juice had a strange taste; was it really 100% orange juice? The café au lait and similar drinks were instant and too sweet, which was tough. I visited the lounge outside of breakfast hours, but it was empty and had a dark atmosphere, which was not great. I apologize for the harsh critique.

    It was very good.

I stayed for two nights in a Deluxe Double Room with a washing area. The toilet and bath were separate, providing a very spacious layout, allowing for a comfortable stay. There was also a desk space for work, and a round table with a sofa where I could enjoy drinks. The small window might be unavoidable. Amenities were available at a corner opposite the front desk, where guests could take what they needed. This was very efficient, and I appreciated being able to take only what I needed. The moisturizing pack and cosmetic set available in the evening were excellent. I used the room's air freshener near the sink, but the mist fell on the floor, making it slippery when I walked over it in slippers. The floor's smooth material might make this unavoidable, so please be careful. The breakfast in the lounge was also very delicious. Items were replenished as they ran low, and everything was neatly organized. There were many types of coffee available. The French toast and apple pie made with fermented butter were delicious. I could also take coffee back to the room. Although guests were required to clear their own dishes, it was not a burden. Overall, the access was good, being a short walk from Yodoyabashi and directly connected to Kitahama Station, making it very convenient and a very pleasant Hotel. I would like to stay again.

    The bathroom is disappointing.

The lounge is stylish. You can freely choose amenities, which is satisfying. The guest room was also clean, but. There are so many foreigners that you might wonder if this is Japan, which doesn't bother me at all, but I wonder if they were targeting inbound guests from the beginning. I reserved a deluxe twin with a separate bathroom, but the bathroom is immediately to the right when you open the entrance door. There is no changing space, and the separate bath area is right there. The partition with the guest room is a difficult-to-use curtain type. It was a trip with a friend, so it was very inconvenient for both of us. There was no space to place clothes, so we had to place them next to the sink opposite the bathroom and reach over. I wish there were at least baskets or something. Also, the TV remote control was very unresponsive, and even after asking if the batteries were dead, it didn't improve. It was very stressful. It's a stylish hotel, and the bedroom was nice, but honestly, it left an impression of being difficult to use.

It was very inconvenient to have to go to the front desk every day to pick up water. There were several places where the wallpaper and carpet were peeling, so I think it would be better to repair them.

    It was good.

We used this place for a small trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We checked in early to prepare for the evening show, and the welcome drinks and other services were excellent. The staff's greetings and actions were also commendable. The water facilities and the Room were clean, and the view was great. The breakfast included was very delicious. I was concerned that there was no air purifier or water provided in the Room. I think it would be better to have them. I would like to stay again, so please take care of us then.

    Very good hotel.

I stayed for three nights. The room was a twin. The toilet, bath, and washbasin were separate, making it comfortable. The bed was firm, suitable for those with back pain, and the pillows could be used in a combination of soft and hard, allowing for a good night's sleep. The air conditioning was perfectly comfortable without feeling any wind or noise. It was a very cozy room. I had breakfast all three days. The Osaka specialty meat soup with udon and the morning curry were delicious. The disappointing part was that the menu was exactly the same for all three days, and perhaps due to the large number of foreign tourists, there were hardly any Japanese dishes. Also, you can have one alcoholic drink during your stay, but I think it would be better to improve this to a more generous system, such as allowing one drink per night for consecutive stays. Other than this, it was a very good hotel with a convenient location. Next time, I would like to stay for one night.

    The room is clean, but...

The room amenities are minimal and compact. They insisted on having us check in through the machine, only for it to end with "unable to process check-in." It took an incredibly long time to check in. There were many Western guests, and during breakfast time, the smell of perfume was overwhelming. For some reason, it didn't feel relaxing.
