    A comfortable Hotel.

    Whenever I have business in Osaka, I don’t stay at a Hotel in Osaka—I stay at this Hotel. It’s so close to Yamashina Station that it feels like you’ve already arrived the moment you get off the train, and the Japanese-style lobby is truly relaxing. Lying on the bed, you can see Yamashina Station and lush green mountains through the large window, which is very calming. In the morning, a delicious breakfast is waiting… it’s pure happiness.\nEverything about this place feels thoughtful and fair. I hope this Hotel stays just as it is.

    First Stay

    The breakfast was amazing, just as the Review said. It was a shame the sauna was small. If you use it when it’s not crowded, it doesn’t really bother you. I’d like to stay at this Accommodation again if I have the chance.

    Very satisfied!

    This was my first return in about a year. I stayed for two nights and three days, and it was still a great Hotel. The staff’s service was excellent as well. In particular, I was impressed by the attentiveness of the restaurant staff at breakfast. They worked efficiently, replenishing dishes and clearing used plates promptly. Because they were constantly checking the food, there was no concern—common at other Hotels—that fewer items would be available if you went later. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    Maybe it’s just my imagination…

    Overall, I was satisfied with the amenity services and breakfast, but during this trip, this was the only Hotel stay where my body felt itchy and I couldn’t sleep at night. The room looked clean. Large public bath…There were several kinds of drinks, plus towels and amenities provided, so it was convenient to bathe without bringing anything. Bathing hours…I personally like bathing quietly early in the morning, so I felt it would be better if the early-morning hours started a bit earlier to avoid crowds. Access…The Hotel was easy to find from the station, and getting back and forth before/after sightseeing was stress-free. You can use multiple train lines; once you get used to it, it’s convenient. Breakfast…I could enjoy my meal slowly in a nice atmosphere, but the tables were close to those next to/in front of/behind us, making it hard to move around. There were many drink options as well, and I found the coffee and tea appealing enough that I wanted to try various kinds. Amenities…Good quality and easy to use. My child loved the foaming sponge. Facility…Even after cleaning cycles, there was a lot of lint inside the coin laundry machines, which got on my clothes (covered in dust). The price also seemed high…

    When visiting exhibi...

    When visiting exhibitions at Miyakomesse, I used to stay at a Hotel near Karasuma Oike, but on a colleague’s recommendation I stayed in Yamashina for the first time. The subway is easy to use, and it’s convenient that there’s an internet café right in front of the Hotel.

    The female staff member at the breakfast venue during my previous stay was outstanding. This time it felt a little lacking, but the food quality was maintained, so I’d rate it 75/100. I’d like to see a bit more in terms of performance geared toward male guests.

    Overall, my stay was...

    Overall, my stay was very comfortable. I visited during heavy rain (Typhoon No. 6), and my sneakers got soaked; when I asked for help, they kindly lent me a sneaker dryer. I washed my clothes in the laundry room and was able to enjoy another comfortable day the next day. The only downside was that the large public bath is for women only. It would be great if there were something for men as well (such as free vouchers for a nearby spa or public bath).

    A Hidden, Comfortable Accommodation in Kyoto

    We offer a sauna and large public bath that women will love. Directly connected to Yamashina Station, served by three train lines, with easy access to central Kyoto (Sanjo Station) and the Shiga area—ideal for both sightseeing and business. Breakfast features an incredible variety of gently seasoned Kyoto-style obanzai dishes. The original Uji tea served in a pot was soothing from the morning.

    The view of the mountains and the station is wonderful.

    I expected a somewhat sterile feel because it was advertised as a train view, but the scenery from the window—trains coming and going and station staff going about their daily work, with lush green mountains in the background—was surprisingly nice. The Room was simple. The large public bath was about what you’d expect. It was disappointing that you couldn’t see outside from the windows there. These days, many Accommodations seem to collaborate with ReFa. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, which was good, but it somehow lacked a standout feature. Perhaps because turnover is fast, some dishes were out of stock; refills were being brought out, but my timing was unlucky and I couldn’t try some items. Access is a bit awkward at just one stop from Kyoto, but all the staff were friendly and courteous with warm smiles, so I’d like to stay at this Accommodation again if I have the chance.

    We will use it again.

    I stayed here to see the cherry blossoms at Daigo-ji Temple. I have visited Kyoto many times and usually stayed near Kyoto Station. However, this Hotel right in front of Yamashina Station—just one JR stop from Kyoto Station—is very convenient! It is directly connected underground, so you can reach the Hotel comfortably without crowds. Yamashina Station also has many shops, which is very convenient. The Hotel staff were friendly, and the amenities were well stocked. I chose a Plan with complimentary items in the refrigerator, and the selection was tasteful. The recommended breakfast buffet also met expectations and was very satisfying. The interior decor had a Japanese-inspired feel, which I really liked. I will stay here again. Thank you very much.

    Above all, the location offers excellent access.

    Take the left of the Hotel’s two elevators down to B2, and you’ll find yourself right in front of the ticket gates for the Kyoto Municipal Subway Tozai Line—an excellent location. Hop on and in about 10 minutes you can reach Sanjo, Shiyakusho-mae, and Karasuma Oike. For my favorite spot, Uzumasa Koryu-ji Temple, just ride to the western terminus, Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station—it’s within walking distance. Breakfast offers a wide selection of thoughtfully prepared dishes and is delicious. From Rooms on the station side at night, watching trains pull into Keihan Yamashina Station has an indescribable charm. A tasty, convenient Accommodation that has everything you need.

    The breakfast is excellent.

    We stayed for two nights. We loved the mountain and station view from our Room. It’s very close to the subway, and it was also convenient to take the train from Kyoto Station. Breakfast was, needless to say, a wonderful buffet. Our favorites were mackerel sushi, warabi mochi, yomogi tempura, and fu. We visited Zuishin-in and Daigo-ji, which the Hotel recommended, by taking a bus from the stop right in front. Just one thing... Is there any way to improve the route to the bath area? Having to go all the way to the end of the 5th floor and then go down stairs was a bit inconvenient.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay. The Hotel is conveniently located near the station, making it easy to visit Kyoto and Shiga, and there are convenience stores, supermarkets, and a variety of restaurants around the Hotel, which I found very convenient. I chose a Room with separate bath, toilet, and sink. The bathroom was spacious with a deep tub, so I could relax. The interior made good use of the limited space, but there was no closet or changing area, which was a bit inconvenient. However, the bathrobe after bathing was helpful. The breakfast I had been looking forward to offered many kinds of side dishes; items that might fall apart were served in small bowls, and everything was neatly arranged within the limited space so it was easy to pick up and eat. The shabu-shabu and other dishes were delicious. The staff checked portion levels and quantities and replenished items quickly, which was great.

    Considering the pric...

    Considering the price, it was great value and I was satisfied. I deducted a few points because there was only one power outlet in the Room, which was inconvenient, and because breakfast required a time-slot Reservation. When making the Reservation, I was told that a group would be there and that the later slots would be less crowded, so I chose the very last time slot. However, when I arrived during that time window, I was told it was full and I couldn’t be seated right away. When I asked how long the wait would be, they said 10–20 minutes. With only a 45-minute slot, waiting for nearly half of it made me question what the Reservation was for. Not wanting to waste my morning time, I asked to be contacted in my Room when a table became available. Since I had added breakfast for one night based on its good reputation, this was very disappointing.

    The breakfast lived up to its reputation!

    I stayed here during my year-end trip home. It was my first time in Yamashina, and the hotel is located in a very convenient spot near the station. The hotel itself seems old but has a retro, traditional atmosphere. The room felt like a standard business hotel. It was unusual that the large public bath was only available for women. Perhaps due to its age, I noticed an odor from the drain. The breakfast lived up to its reputation and exceeded typical business hotel standards. Staying here just for the breakfast would be worth it!

    The breakfast was truly delicious.

    I have stayed in Kyoto many times, but this was my first time in the Yamashina area. While researching sightseeing spots in Yamashina, I came across a photo of this hotel's beautiful lobby. Curious, I looked into it further and found out that the breakfast has a great reputation and there is a large public bath for women only. I wanted to see this lobby in person, so I made a Reservation at this Hotel. It was also very reasonably priced—perhaps because it's slightly away from the bustling downtown area? However, there were fewer tourists and it had more of a local vibe, which I really enjoyed. From the underground passage connected to the Hotel, you can access a shopping center that even has a MUJI supermarket! There were plenty of carefully prepared deli items that got me excited. With stores like Uniqlo, Nitori, Kaldi Coffee Farm, and MUJI all nearby, there's nothing to worry about at all. Outside the shopping center was also Drug Yutaka for any other needs. The location is truly perfect! The large public bath even allows you to check its crowd status from each floor's elevator hall. The bath itself was very relaxing. The Room was clean and comfortable as well. If desired, it seems you can rent a Fire Stick for around 300 yen. And then there's breakfast... just as good as its reputation suggests! I chose mostly Japanese dishes—all of which were absolutely delicious. That day's miso soup seemed like kasujiru (sake lees soup) with lots of ingredients—it warmed me up wonderfully in the morning! In addition to rice dishes, they also offered tea porridge and small grilled fish portions perfect for tasting different varieties. As soon as seats became available during breakfast hours, staff promptly disinfected tables and chairs—I found their attention to detail impressive. For such an affordable price point combined with high-quality service and amenities like these—it’s rare to find Hotels like this one! I would definitely recommend it wholeheartedly to my friends!

    Relax and rejuvenate.

    A Hotel conveniently located near Yamashina Station. The Room was clean and user-friendly. The bathroom was also spotless, which lifted my spirits. Additionally, there is a large public bath exclusively for women, allowing for a relaxing experience. Breakfast featured Kyoto's unique ingredients and dishes, with many small bowls offering delicious flavors. There was also a wide variety of drinks and desserts—nothing to complain about here. The only downside was that I could hear noises from the neighboring Room and conversations in the hallway quite clearly. I would definitely love to stay here again!

    Delicious and Satisfying Breakfast!

    Thank you for the wonderful two-day stay. The breakfast was as amazing as rumored, and I was thoroughly satisfied. During my previous visit, the dining environment was overcrowded and disappointing, but thanks to the time-slot system introduced this time, I could enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace! The variety and taste of the dishes were exceptional as always, and combined with the high-quality service, it truly exceeded expectations. I was especially touched by one female staff member's attentiveness and care, which made my breakfast even more enjoyable—thank you so much. If possible, it would be great if a men's bath could also be considered in the future. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience—thank you for making it so memorable! I look forward to staying here again.

    Breakfast is good. The bath is not so great.

    Located in front of Yamashina Station, offering convenient access to JR, Keihan, Subway Tozai Line, and buses. Perfect for exploring eastern Kyoto areas such as Daigoji Temple, Uji, and Fushimi. Breakfast features a highly-rated buffet of delicious traditional Kyoto-style dishes. The public bath is available for women only and tends to get crowded—this is the only drawback.

    The response when I ...

    The response when I wore a samue to breakfast felt cold. I was given a startled look, as if I were a troublesome guest. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned at check-in. I’m also unsure whether the outdoor slippers were not allowed. A bit disappointing. It was great to know how many people were in the public bath at any given time. Breakfast was very delicious and extremely satisfying!

    Perfect Hotel for Women

    This was my first time staying here. I always look for a Hotel with a sauna and large public bath for my staycations. The sauna at this Hotel allowed self-pouring of water on the stones, and the cold bath was very refreshing, making it a relaxing and leisurely experience. Additionally, there were high-end products like ReFa shower heads and luxury hair dryers, which are perfect for women. The breakfast was delicious, served hot, and so tasty that I went back for seconds multiple times. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Daughter's Move

    I traveled to Kyoto from Yokohama to help my daughter move. She had been living in Yamashina for about three years. On her last day in Kyoto, we stayed in Yamashina. The accommodation was clean, had a women-only large bath, and provided a very relaxing experience. Being slightly away from the center of Kyoto, it was quiet with fewer foreign tourists, which made it even better. Since it's located near the station, I would love to stay here again when I visit Kyoto next time. Thank you very much!

    Good points: Convenient location. The large public bath offers a variety of shampoo options and showerheads. Breakfast includes a wide selection of Japanese dishes served in small bowls, allowing you to try many types, and it was delicious. Bad points: The walls seem thin as conversations from the neighboring Room could be heard. Although not the Hotel's fault, it was difficult as this continued until 3 AM. Dust had accumulated in the corners of the Room. While vacuuming seems to have been done, detailed cleaning was lacking.
