    I was satisfied.

    I loved the bath, but the breakfast was especially high quality! I even had five freshly fried shrimp tempura in the morning! I’ll definitely stay again.

    It was very good.

    I stayed for one night while sightseeing in Nara and Kyoto. The Onsen and the after-bath beer were excellent. Breakfast was also delicious. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

    Breakfast

    It was a great Accommodation. The bath was excellent. For dinner, even if you don’t eat at the Hotel, there are several restaurants right in front, so it’s not a problem. Breakfast is also tasty, but it was disappointing that there were no drinks like smoothies and no side dishes such as ham or bacon.

    Items Not Available in the Large Public Bath

    This was my first time staying at a Hotel in Nara. When I entered the address into my GPS, it was outdated and led me to a place that looked like nearby apartments. What surprised me most was that there were no amenities at all in the large public bath. I’ve stayed at many Hotels with large public baths, but this was the first time there wasn’t even tissue, cotton swabs, lotion—nothing. If this is due to poor guest manners in the past leading to these Facility changes, that’s really disappointing. I was also looking forward to tempura being fried right in front of us at breakfast, but instead pre-cooked items were lined up, so it wasn’t “freshly fried.” Still, it was tasty.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    The Room was compact but clean, and I had a pleasant stay. However, the bedside light was too bright, so I would appreciate a dimmable light or a small nightlight. Also, I would like a small trash bin in the washroom. It was inconvenient to walk to the Room’s trash bin just to throw away small items like toothbrush packaging. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. It was a comfortable Hotel with reasonable prices and good service.

    Doubts About the High Rating

    I’m not sure why this property is rated so highly. Is it just because it seems like a good deal for the price? The Room I stayed in felt exactly like a typical Business Hotel. There were many student groups and international guests, and I couldn’t relax in the large public bath. Because the Reviews were good, I made a Reservation even though the location was inconvenient and far away, but I really regret it. I honestly can’t understand these high ratings.

    The somen noodles for breakfast were delicious. It would be nice if there were a bit more variety in the buffet. Also, while there is a hairdryer in the room, it might be better to have two more hairdryers available in the Onsen area. I appreciated being able to choose from various shampoos.

    New Japanese-Style City Hotel

    It was a wonderful Hotel. It felt very close to perfection. I felt it scored over 95 points in every aspect. I would love to stay again. Please listen to customer feedback, maintain the good points, and aim even higher!

    I often use this Hot...

    I often use this Hotel when visiting Nara. The interior is clean and bright, and I particularly enjoy the breakfast buffet, which features local specialties such as Asuka hot pot, tea porridge, tempura of Nara pickles, seasonal mixed rice (this time it was chestnut rice), and more. The quality and variety are excellent. However, during this visit, I was a bit disappointed as the front desk staff seemed overwhelmed during check-in due to the busy autumn foliage season and a three-day weekend with many tour groups. Since check-in leaves a strong first impression of the Hotel in terms of both time and space, it was slightly disappointing despite being very satisfied with everything else.

    <Good Points> Stayed for 1 night and 2 days. The dinner, "Mahoroba Gozen," was exceptionally delicious, exceeding expectations (especially the Yamato beef). <Concerns> Although it is a natural Onsen (?), the chlorine smell was a bit strong and noticeable.

    I had a relaxing time.

    The large public bath was excellent on weekdays when it was less crowded. Overall, the place was clean, and the staff were courteous. I honestly felt that the Room could have been a bit more spacious.

    Upgraded Route Inn

    Feels like an upgraded version of Route Inn, known for its great cost performance. Spacious natural Onsen bathhouse (even with an open-air bath), free drinks, and complimentary beer and ice cream after bathing (though not every day). The excellent value for money is impressive, especially since the accommodation fee doesn't increase significantly. Breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, including tempura, which is very satisfying. The room has a unit bath, but unfortunately, it is not barrier-free and has steps, which feels a bit outdated nowadays. Route Inn seems to cater to guests arriving by car (the parking lot is spacious). For those using the train, it's a bit of a walk from the nearest station.

    Natural Onsen!!

    During our previous stay, we were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the Facility and the natural Onsen, so we decided to return. However, upon check-in, we were informed that the men's bath was out of order, so my husband used the Room's bath instead. Around 8:00 PM, we received a call from the front desk saying it had been fixed, but he found it inconvenient and only used the morning bath. I enjoyed the Saturday-only draft beer service but still felt a bit disappointed. My husband didn’t complain at all, which was a relief.

    I had a very comfortable stay.

    Clean and friendly staff always with a smile. Even non-front desk staff greeted us warmly in the hallways. They were very attentive and helpful when we consulted them about any issues, for which we are truly grateful. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Asuka hot pot! Although the Room lighting couldn't be adjusted, and the bed, furniture, and amenities seemed cost-conscious, the excellent service from the staff more than made up for it. Truly a wonderful Hotel. We would love to stay here again!

    Exceeds expectations

    I don't know if they struck a particularly good quality onsen, but the water quality is quite excellent. In recent years, there are many hotels that pretend to have onsen, but if you love onsen, you can tell at a glance after entering whether it's a genuine (high-quality) onsen. The onsen here made my body feel much better and my skin smoother. I was surprised that the Route Inn Group offers such a high-quality onsen like the long-established favorite Yumura Onsen. The large public bath is for guests only, so it wasn't crowded, and I could relax and enjoy it, which was very satisfying. The service was pleasant; I happened to ask a cleaning lady something I didn't know, and she was incredibly kind and wonderful. The breakfast buffet was worth more than the price. To be honest, I never thought the food at Route Inn was delicious, so I didn't have high expectations, but this place was on a different level. I ate too much, like at a delicious ryokan breakfast. I'm already very satisfied, but if they put more effort into the salads and sweets, I think it would reach another dimension (laughs). Just one point, the room quality is not high; the bed is narrow and hard, and there's no complimentary bottled water. However, I was grateful that they prepared the room as requested, so I give it high marks. If they are going to operate at a higher category, it might have been better to prepare slightly higher-ranked rooms. Overall, it was worth more than the price and exceeded expectations. I want to visit again.

    The courtesy of the front desk staff, the Room, the interior of the building, the large public bath, and the spacious parking lot were all excellent. I would definitely like to use it if I have the opportunity.

    Already the fourth time

    About 40 minutes by car from the "base" + Onsen + clean rooms + courteous service + delicious breakfast! This is already my fourth visit since last year. It's perfect for spending the weekend and the satisfaction level is high. Especially the breakfast is delicious. However, among the four times I've used it, this time's breakfast was the least good. Still, it was delicious and "good," so it's hard to judge. It's perfect for a weekend staycation, and I want to use it again in the future.

    Second stay

    I had a very pleasant stay this time as well. Although we caused some inconvenience to the hotel due to our own mistake, they responded graciously, and I am filled with gratitude. The Onsen water is very good, leaving the skin smooth and silky. Both last time and this time, I was able to enjoy it almost privately. It is very convenient to check the congestion status on the in-room TV. The complimentary beer service, various shampoo and conditioner services, and coffee service are greatly appreciated. The Facility is also clean. I look forward to using it again soon. Thank you for the wonderful time.

    The bath and the Room are comfortable.

    Choosing this hotel for sightseeing in Horyuji and Asuka Village was a great decision. The onsen was clean and the open-air bath was spacious. There were plenty of washing areas. I was worried that there were only four dressers in the changing room, but it never got crowded. Perhaps the guests on tours used the bath in their rooms? The room also has a bathtub, so it seems good for those who are not fond of onsens. There was a shampoo & conditioner bar, so I wondered if amenities were to be brought in, but it was an unfounded worry. There was also a beer service after the bath from around 7 PM to 9 PM, which I could use. Such services often end early, so it's nice when you want to relax in your room. I could relax in the room as I could walk around barefoot. The parking lot is spacious and free. The facility rating is four because when I tried to use the coffee machine service in the morning, it took a long time for maintenance, and I had to wait. The staff worked hard on the maintenance. It was worth the wait, as the coffee was delicious. Having found a good property in Nara, it seems like there will be more travel plans to the Nara area from now on. Next time, I want to have a multiple night stay with breakfast included.

    There was no option for the Wakura Plan on the reservation site, and I could only make a reservation for the main building.

    The staff's service is excellent.

    I checked in late at night, but the male staff's response (language and demeanor) was excellent, and I wanted to stay again. Among the Route Inns I have stayed at, Nara Wakura-san is the best. The breakfast was also very delicious. The separate annex has a luxurious feel, yet it is reasonable and a great value.
