    Poor front desk service

    The overall service from the staff was poor. When I arrived, there was someone checking in at the front desk, so I waited. After that person finished, another guest tried to cut in line for check-in, so I mentioned that I had been waiting first. Shouldn't the front desk staff notice such things? After my check-in was completed, I was told to wait as they needed to confirm my Room. Even at 4:30 PM, the Room wasn't ready yet, so I waited. They said they would call me when it was ready, but after a long wait with no call, I went back to ask how much longer it would take. The staff looked surprised and called housekeeping before saying "Oh, it's ready now." It seemed like they forgot about me waiting. Later on my way to the Room via elevator, there were other staff members assisting guests near the elevator. When I tried to join them in the elevator ride up together with those guests/staff—one of them gave me a surprised look & said “Huh?” What does this mean?

    For use during a stopover on the way to visit your daughter's family.

    My daughter's family lives far away, so they always stay overnight on the way back home. This time, based on my son-in-law's wish to visit Hikone Castle, we chose this accommodation. Since our grandchild is still small, the spacious Hollywood twin Japanese-style room was perfect. They mentioned that the breakfast was delicious and that the place was clean and comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Clean Hotel

    This review is only about the accommodation. Check-in was very smooth, possibly because of the late arrival time. The reception had a calm atmosphere and was not crowded. The room was also clean and well-maintained.

    There is a short walk to the parking lot, but it's free, which is helpful. It's easy to travel to Kyoto, so I was able to stay cheaply and go sightseeing in Kyoto.

    The hospitality was excellent.

    Room 406. Positive Points: 1. Excellent customer service 2. Free parking (however, it's located a bit far and requires an umbrella in heavy rain) 3. Pillow rental available 4. A refrigerator that cools reasonably well 5. Spacious desk (though the chair is a bit low, making it difficult to use a computer) 6. High water pressure in the bidet 7. Large cart available for carrying luggage 8. Good quality shampoo and brushes Areas of Concern: 1. Slow internet. Feels slow both wired and wireless 2. Breakfast is not great for 1900 yen. Limited variety and taste 3. Shower water pressure in the bath feels low 4. Borrowed the firmest pillow, and it was really hard 5. Not individually controlled air conditioning. Switched to heating because it was cold, but it wasn't heating upon reading the instructions. Got cold and felt unwell 6. Small TV size. Really small. Hard to watch from the bed while lying down 7. No sleep timer on the TV remote. Can't fall asleep while watching
