    An Otherworld in the City

    This was my first time staying here. In the middle of the city in Yokohama Kannai, it felt like a mysterious otherworldly space, and the Japanese-style atmosphere was wonderful. The Room is not very spacious, so the air conditioner blew directly onto one side of the bed, which made it a little uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the bathtub was small. Breakfast was very delicious; the croissant-style waffles and the local specialty shumai were especially excellent. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    Close to the Christmas market and not too far from the Sky Duck boarding point the next morning, we had a comfortable stay with No Meals Included. Our child also enjoyed their time happily. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

    It used to be better...

    I used this place a long time ago and had a good impression, so I decided to try the long day-use option this time. Previously, everything was clean with a modern Japanese atmosphere, but this time the bathroom had a sewage-like smell that reached the Room, and cheap aroma scents were noticeable in the hallway, which was disappointing. I stayed in a Junior Suite, but it wasn’t as spacious as I expected. Although it’s called a suite, there was only one Room. The nearby shops are well-equipped, so dining options were not an issue. Being close to Kannai Station is also convenient. Having beds on tatami mats made for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the same quality this time and likely won’t return again.

    The service is very attentive! It's small but super clean!!

    The online check-in and check-out process was convenient, but I must mention that the staff's assistance when storing luggage beforehand was very polite and professional. The Hotel and Room were exceptionally clean, offering a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. However, the standard Room was quite small, with no desk or chair, so the only relaxing space was on the futon. Additionally, there were limited power outlets; having a power strip might be helpful. The only downside for me was that the window could not be opened. Since it’s not a high-rise building, being able to open the window even slightly would make me more inclined to stay again. That said, it’s truly a beautiful Room—highly recommended for those who prioritize cleanliness over space! Lastly, please note that the perfume scent used throughout the Hotel is quite strong from the entrance area; sensitive individuals may want to take caution.

    The in-room tablet is unavailable.

    I stayed here for a business trip. While hotel prices have been rising recently, this accommodation was reasonably priced, so I chose to stay here. It is conveniently located within walking distance from JR Kannai Station, and the room matched the photos with tatami flooring and low beds. However, there were few power outlets, so I had to take turns charging my laptop and smartphone. The WiFi password and terms of service are accessible via a tablet in the room, but the tablet in my room could not be charged and was unusable. When I contacted the front desk using my own phone, they mentioned that tablets are primarily for internal calls and questioned their necessity; however, since I couldn't access the WiFi password or terms of service as required by hotel regulations (Travel Business Act), it seemed like an issue that needed addressing. I believe it is essential to check such items during room cleaning and promptly replace them if necessary.

    Convenient

    Check-in is done via a panel system. However, the front desk is not unmanned; staff are available. This was reassuring and helpful in case the panel input did not work smoothly. Since it’s a Japanese-style room, having slippers for short trips to the bathroom or toilet would be appreciated.

    This was my first stay. There was a tablet in the Room, but it didn’t work at all. Since there was no phone in the Room, I had to call the Hotel from my mobile to inquire about issues with the tablet and other problems in the Room, which made me feel uneasy about handling emergencies. The front desk staff were kind and polite, but it seemed like there weren’t enough staff for the number of guests. For example, when I wanted to get a key for using the bath during its designated time slot (which is charged by time), I couldn’t approach them as they were busy assisting other guests. This could be improved. The tablet wasn’t fixed immediately but was made usable while I was out. However, if there’s no phone in the Room, it’s essential to check whether tablets are functioning properly during room inspections.

    Ryokan-style interior

    The interior with beds on tatami was relaxing and nice. It was a style with two semi-double beds joined together, so it was unfortunate that there was a gap in the center and a tear in the shoji. It seems that bottled wine can be ordered, so I would like to use it during my stay.

    I think it's a good Hotel if you just need a place to sleep.

    We chose a king bed room instead of a twin because our 1-year-old child rolls around while sleeping with two adults. The two beds are connected with a single sheet, so if you sleep in the middle, the seam hits your back. To prevent falling, we placed the child in the middle, but of course, it was uncomfortable, and we ended up moving to one side, making the king bed pointless. The bed itself is a low bed, so the child can get on and off, and if requested, a diaper bin and baby soap can be provided. As others have mentioned, the lights are either on or off. When turned off, you can hardly see anything, which was quite inconvenient.

    Quality as per the Review

    It was just as everyone said in past reviews. From check-in, there was no friendliness, and even when passing by the front desk during the stay, there was no greeting as they kept their head down (glued to the PC screen). The entire property, including the room, was dimly lit, and it was hard to sleep at night because the room next to where I stayed seemed to be an air conditioning room and was noisy.
