    Atami Fireworks Festival

    The marina is right in front of the Hotel, so the view is wonderful, and the staff were very kind. The meals are buffet-style, which makes dining fun, and you can enjoy your meal while taking in the scenery—highly recommended.

    Perfect for the July 20 fireworks festival!

    On the day of the Atami fireworks festival, we stayed in a top-floor suite. The view was great! However, for a suite, the Room interior was disappointing: - Visible ceiling leak repairs - Stained wallpaper - Strange noise from the air conditioner - Spider webs on the balcony There were too many letdowns for a suite. Otherwise, no major issues. If I had to say one thing: having the bed right by the entrance is not ideal. I would have preferred the entryway to be separated. The layout felt similar to a love hotel style that has become common recently. I’m very disappointed, so this is a harsh review. If these points are improved, it would be excellent!

    May 11: Stay after the Golden Week holidays

    We stayed just after the Golden Week holidays. With a private open-air bath in the Room, it was by far the most affordable Accommodation we’ve ever stayed at! The location is right in front of the ocean, and the view from the rooftop is amazing. Even though it’s a business hotel, the amenities were excellent, and the hot spring bath was free-flowing from the source—everything was great. It was May, but it was very hot, and we were able to use the rooftop pool too, so I wish I had brought a swimsuit!

    Traveling with Your Dog

    The location was convenient and the price was reasonable, so we chose to stay here. We stayed in a dog-friendly Room. As mentioned in a Review, you can only see a small portion of the ocean from the Room, but it didn’t bother us. We made a Reservation for a Plan that included buffet breakfast and dinner, but dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. Since we were worried about leaving our dog alone in the Room, we took turns eating. I wish this had been stated more clearly in advance. Also, because we had to explain our situation each time we went to eat, it would be helpful if staff could share this information internally for smoother service. The food offered a wide variety of options and was delicious.

    Considering the price, I think it was good.

    The international staff were polite, and all of them spoke Japanese fluently. They seemed to work harder than the Japanese staff. The in-Room Onsen was very relaxing. There were plenty of amenities, and the TV was a smart TV. The Room was clean and I had no complaints. However, the plug-in air freshener (Febreze?) in the Room had a strong fragrance that made me feel unwell. Also, when you open the door, the shower room is directly in front of you; it is entirely glass with no privacy screen, which surprised me. The meals were not particularly delicious—I didn’t really enjoy the flavors and mainly ate just to fill up. However, considering the price, I think it was enough that I could eat until I wasn’t hungry. It felt like a family restaurant with an Onsen attached; nothing especially unpleasant happened, and since it was only one night, it was simply average overall. Thank you very much.

    Both breakfast and dinner were delicious.

    I stayed in an ocean-view Room. This was my second visit, and the open-air bath on the in-room balcony was excellent. The breakfast and dinner are both buffet-style with a wide variety of options, and I was very satisfied. There were also all-you-can-take salmon roe and assorted sashimi—so luxurious I couldn’t finish everything. If you want to keep Accommodation costs down, it seems that Rooms without an ocean view can be nearly half the price. Check-out is until 11:00, so you can relax. There is parking, but depending on your vehicle size you may not be able to enter, so it’s best to confirm in advance. The multi-story parking garage admits cars one at a time, so after 3:00 PM it may get crowded with vehicles waiting to enter. Since the width clearance is tight, traffic could build up if the driver ahead has difficulty parking. The height limit is 155 cm or less, so minivan-type vehicles will be difficult. For larger vehicles, there is a public parking lot right in front of the property, which may be the safer option.

    The open-air bath was excellent.

    I made a Reservation on the IKYU site to stay in Atami for the first time in a while. Since I was able to check the location on a map in advance, I was able to get there smoothly and check in without any issues. However, when the taxi driver said, “There are two,” I hesitated a bit about where to be dropped off. The Hotel is a small building, but the Room layout is spacious and includes an open-air bath inside the Room. I used the large public bath on an upper floor, so unfortunately I didn’t use the in-room bath, but it has a nice atmosphere. Even more impressive, the large public bath also has a sauna, and I could enjoy bathing while watching the sunrise from the scenic-view bath—making for a very refreshing morning. I booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included; the meals were about what you’d expect. If anything stood out, it would be that the dried fish was delicious. It happened to coincide with graduation trips and Kawazu cherry blossom season, but thanks to booking in advance I was able to stay at a reasonable price. The staff were responsive and gave me the sense they were willing to accommodate my requests.

    Onsen Open-Air Bath in the Room

    I chose this place because I was looking for a Room with an Onsen bath and buffet-style dinner. The bath is an open-air Onsen, so I thought it might be cold, but it was very relaxing. Both dinner and breakfast had plenty of salmon roe, which was very satisfying.

    During holidays, rooms cost around 70,000 to 90,000 yen. Is this typical for Atami? First of all, the front desk staff smelled strongly of cigarettes. **Room** - All remote controls were covered in dust. - The humidifier was moldy. - The tissue box was extremely dirty. - The hairdryer was clogged with dust (to an artistic level). - The toilet was very dirty. - Tea had already been opened before our arrival. - There was hair inside the sterilization device. - You cannot turn on the hot water faucet without stepping into the bathtub. However, having the private open-air bath and shower next to each other in the room is very convenient. **Dinner (Buffet)** The hallway at the entrance had empty egg cartons lying around and smelled bad. There was simmered alfonsino fish available but only bones and scraps were left; it wasn’t replenished. The pineapple tray also only had scraps left; it wasn’t replenished. Half of the cakes were just leftover crumbs; they weren’t replenished either. The sashimi bream contained large bones (not small ones). On a positive note, the meat dishes were delicious. There was a wide variety including sukiyaki, Chinese dishes, tempura, sushi, ramen, steak, and curry. I skipped breakfast. I usually book through IKYU.com to avoid staying at such terrible hotels like this one but I am deeply disappointed this time. Does it mean you need to spend over 100,000 yen for a room with a bath in Atami?

    No issues at all for guests with dogs!

    Stay with your beloved Shiba Inu Guest rooms with private open-air Onsen baths Includes two meals, featuring a high-quality buffet Located near the sea, perfect for enjoyable walks and stunning sunrise views The price is absolutely reasonable! Although I was a bit nervous because it was so affordable, there was no need to worry—it turned out to be an incredibly enjoyable trip. Thank you very much. Some points that might concern others: - The multi-story parking lot can be slightly inconvenient. - The view from pet-friendly rooms isn't great. - Rooms are a bit small (but the beds are spacious and comfortable). For us, who prioritize travel frequency over luxury, accommodations like this are truly appreciated. Also, the parking attendant in the morning was very pleasant! A good final impression makes everything even better.

    The Room was very satisfying. The fireworks from the Room were directly in front and extremely beautiful. However, the buffet meal was unfortunately disappointing in contrast.

    A perfect night enjoying the fireworks in Atami!

    Stayed for winter fireworks. Reserved a room for three (mother and two daughters) on the 6th floor with an open-air bath on the balcony. Enjoyed the fireworks together from the balcony. The launch site was directly in front of the hotel, and we were amazed by the sound and overwhelming impact of the fireworks! Used the buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Despite likely being fully booked due to the fireworks, thanks to the hotel's relatively small size, everything went smoothly without any waiting. The buffet included thoughtful touches like sashimi selections and cutlets placed alongside curry to enjoy as katsu curry. Though compact, both taste, atmosphere, and staff service were highly satisfying!

    It can't be helped.

    I stayed with my beloved dog, but the room had a strong animal smell. Although care was being taken, it wasn't enough and was a bit uncomfortable. The meals were buffet-style with plenty of seafood, which was very satisfying. The Onsen would have been perfect if not for some guests with poor manners.

    Poor service when ordering alcohol.

    The meals were delicious, but the guidance on how to order alcohol was unclear. It would be helpful to provide instructions on how to place orders in advance.

    The room is not comfortable.

    Upon entering the Room, there was a strong odor. Upon investigation, I found two electric aroma diffusers plugged into the outlet, which were overwhelming. I immediately unplugged them and removed them from the Room. There was a metal dog crate without a floorboard. I placed my own blanket on the floor and set up my dog's bed on top of it for their stay. The area with the crate had something like tatami mats with a low table and two cushions. Tatami mats that could absorb pet urine paired with cushions? It didn’t feel comfortable to sit there. The balcony had a table and chairs that should have been placed inside instead. There was no designated space for personal belongings in the Room, which felt lacking in consideration. The provided loungewear pants lacked elastic bands, causing them to slip down easily. It would be better if they included properly fitted options. The body wash in the bathroom did not produce any foam at all. Additionally, there were no bath towels included in the bath set—only small handkerchief-sized towels whose purpose was unclear.

    Atami is the best!

    The Onsen, accommodation, and meals were all excellent. The staff were kind and very pleasant. The meals, in particular, were delicious. I will use this accommodation again.

    I checked the Google Reviews beforehand and didn’t have high expectations, but it turned out to be much better than I imagined. We stayed in the largest room, which was spacious, clean, and had an ocean view on the 7th floor. We enjoyed using the private open-air bath in the room multiple times. Some minor concerns were that cleaning could have been more thorough in areas like water stains or mold-like spots in the shower room, and it would have been nice to have chairs instead of just cushions for seating. However, overall (even for someone like me who is a bit of a cleanliness freak), I was very satisfied. The meals were excellent. For dinner, while the space wasn’t very large, there was plenty of variety. The seafood (though some sashimi varied) and steak were delicious—better than buffets at some high-end hotels with higher prices in terms of satisfaction. Breakfast also exceeded my expectations. All staff members were consistently polite and attentive, making this a stress-free trip—thank you!

    Perfect for watching fireworks!

    We stayed as a family of three during the Atami Sea Fireworks Festival. The room felt slightly small for three adults, but since it was directly in front of the fireworks launch site, we enjoyed an impressive view from the balcony with an open-air bath! In addition to the large public bath, there was also a rooftop pool. However, as there is only one elevator and no stairs available, it's important to plan your movements within the hotel with some extra time. The parking lot is reservation-available but mechanized, so be mindful of size restrictions. This Hotel is highly recommended for those who want to enjoy watching fireworks!

    I want to visit again!

    We had a very satisfying two days! The bath and meals were absolutely delightful! However, there was one thing about the service that caught our attention... At check-in, someone was waiting on the sofa, but my family mentioned that a staff member was vigorously hitting or adjusting the cushions right next to them. Although they said the staff member seemed kind, it felt intimidating at that moment. This was the only concern we had, so I wanted to share this feedback. During meals and other times, everyone was kind and attentive, making our stay very pleasant! Thank you so much!

    I had a comfortable stay.

    A cozy Hotel where we had a comfortable stay as follows: - Conveniently located with the ocean in front and close to Ginza shopping street. - Friendly and kind staff. - The Room was not spacious but clean and pleasant. - The bed was semi-double, larger than a single, providing ample space. - The large public bath included an indoor bath, open-air bath, and sauna for enjoyment. - Buffet meals offered a wide variety of main dishes, side dishes, and desserts that were delicious. - Dinner featured live kitchen steak preparation and table-side hot pot options like sukiyaki for freshly cooked meals. - A rich selection of seafood dishes such as sashimi added to the ocean-inspired menu. - A coffee machine in the lobby provided tasty coffee freely available to guests. However, the safe in the Room was difficult to set up and could not be used; clearer instructions would be appreciated.

    Travel with Your Beloved Dog

    We stayed at Hotel Livemax in Atami, as my husband wanted a guest room with an open-air bath and pet-friendly accommodation. Personally, I really enjoyed the large public bath on the 8th floor with a view of the sea. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

    Great value for money and well-equipped! However, it may not be suitable for non-smokers...

    We stayed for two nights with our infant. The staff were very friendly and attentive, helping us with our luggage and preparing baby food and a high chair during meals, which we greatly appreciated. We requested a non-smoking Room, but it seemed to have a lingering smell of tobacco. The staff promptly addressed the issue by using an ozone deodorizer and offering us a Room change, which was very helpful. However, even in the new Room, when we opened the window, some tobacco smell seemed to come in—possibly from nearby smoking areas. Additionally, during our stay in the Room, all three of us developed skin irritations or bumps. It might have been caused by insect bites or something similar. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay! The meals featured plenty of fresh seafood that we loved, and the view of Atami's scenery was wonderful. Thank you very much!

    I want to visit again.

    I felt a great sense of value staying in a room with an open-air onsen. The meals were delicious, featuring seafood like sashimi and golden eye snapper. However, the balcony of the room I stayed in had pigeons visiting, leaving droppings in some areas. While measures have been taken with curtains for privacy at the open-air bath, I would appreciate more thorough cleaning and additional measures. The staff's attentiveness and warm greetings were delightful. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again. I recommend choosing a sea-facing side.

    Seeking the Sea and Onsen...

    I spontaneously wanted to see the ocean and found a hotel with an open-air bath on the balcony right in front of the sea. Staying at a beachfront accommodation where you can hear the sound of waves is truly amazing. The room is compact, but considering the price, it’s reasonable. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style, offering a wide variety from seafood to freshly grilled meat and desserts. Baby food is also available for infants, making it a great hotel for families with children. The staff members were diverse and provided polite service. Thank you very much!

    The view is extremely disappointing.

    I stayed in Room 401, but the view was extremely disappointing. It felt like a room mocking those who come to Atami, with no view of the sea. If it had been explained that only an abandoned building could be seen from the room, I would never have completed the reservation. If you are going to put someone in that room, you should definitely explain it beforehand. Due to this incident, I have lost trust in Livemax and feel nothing but distrust. To prevent more victims from experiencing this, I will spread information about this terrible response widely.
