    Minimum required.

There were far too few amenities, and the hair dryer was so outdated it was unusable. The Room lighting couldn’t be adjusted either. The price alone was high, perhaps due to inbound tourism… I should have paid a bit more and stayed at a regular Hotel instead…

I was bothered by the smell in the Room.

I was quite bothered by the smell in the Room. After using the deodorizing spray provided and leaving the air conditioner on, it improved a lot, but… The comforter also had a yellowed inner blanket showing because the cover had slipped. I assume it was washed, but it didn’t feel very clean. As a Room, it was a typical Business Hotel and I didn’t have any particular complaints. The amenities felt minimal. There was tea in the Room, but I would have liked instant coffee or black tea as well. The hair dryer and the rentable hair iron were KINUJO and high-end, and there were free drinks too, but what I mentioned above was disappointing. The location was a little far from the station, but convenient.

    Not bad.

I used it for a business trip. Since it’s close to Sannomiya Station, transportation is convenient and the location is good. The Hotel itself, including the guest room, felt clean—nothing special, but not bad. I was out until late so I didn’t use the free drinks and such, but I might have been more satisfied if I had. There wasn’t anything particularly bad, but nothing especially great either. Still, I think it offers good value for money, so I’d consider staying again next time.

This was my first time learning about this Hotel chain.

I stayed at this Hotel the night before to catch the bus from Sannomiya to Awaji Island. The area in front of the station was under construction, so I had to take a detour, but it was conveniently located near the station and close to the bus stop. The building next door was also under construction, but it wasn’t an issue. There is a book lounge, which I was very happy about as a book-lounge fan. (I only found out after staying.) Drinks and two kinds of snacks were available free of charge. I didn’t use it, but there was also a sweets time, with local donuts served. Despite how it looks from the outside, it was a comfortable Hotel.

We hope for improvements in the dining area layout and Room amenities.

The location is convenient, being close to Sannomiya Station. The contracted parking facilities both on-site and off-site, as well as the library café within the Facility, felt appropriate for the price. However, there are some inconveniences: - Parking guidance requires guests to leave their car and go up to the 2nd-floor front desk (very inconvenient). - The breakfast venue's crowd level is not updated in real-time on the Hotel TV guide (even when it shows availability, you may still have to wait). - The breakfast buffet layout is poorly organized, making it unclear which line corresponds to which dish (staff do not assist with this). Improvements in flow management and clearer directional signage are necessary. This Hotel (Kobe Sannomiya) does not have smart TVs installed; humidifiers are available only in limited quantities; hanger space is minimal; overall, the facilities feel comparable to those of a lower-class hotel chain.

    This is my second stay.

Conveniently located near Sannomiya Station, with a convenience store nearby. Despite being close to the station, the surroundings are not noisy. One of the highlights of this hotel is its café room, where guests can enjoy free coffee and tea, and at certain times, Kobe donuts are available. Selected books are also provided, offering an interesting chance to discover books you might not usually buy. This is one of my favorite accommodations, and I plan to stay here again if I visit Kobe in the future. One downside was that there was noticeable limescale buildup on the faucet area in the bathroom. It might not be visible from above but becomes apparent when soaking in the bathtub. The stains were easy to remove when scrubbed, so it would be great if more attention could be paid to such details as it would make this already excellent accommodation even better. Other than that issue with cleanliness, my stay was comfortable and I highly recommend this hotel!

The cleanliness of the Room was disappointing.

I stayed at this accommodation for one night as I had plans to meet a friend, and it was my first time using this hotel. Due to redevelopment construction in the area between Sannomiya Station and the hotel, I got a bit lost trying to reach the hotel from the Hankyu train side. Check-in and check-out are done via self-service terminals at the front desk, but they were easier to use compared to other hotels. Since I booked a long-stay plan, there was no crowding, and the process went smoothly. Additionally, staff members were nearby and kindly explained amenities or assisted with screen operations when needed, which made me feel reassured. Regarding the room: being able to adjust air conditioning individually in this season is definitely a plus point. However, there were some disappointing aspects: - The glass shelf on the sink had some residue from what seemed like shampoo or another liquid. - The vanity mirror had noticeable fingerprints on it. - There were coffee-like stains left on the edge of the side table. The most disappointing issue was something I noticed while soaking in the bathtub—there was a brown stain left by previous guests on part of the toilet base that hadn't been cleaned properly. While areas like around the seat and lid were clean, it seems that crouching down is necessary for thorough cleaning of such spots. This may be more about guest manners than facilities themselves; however, my room being directly in front of an elevator meant that noise carried easily through thin walls late at night—foreign tourists talking loudly while walking through hallways (both adults and children) as well as repeated loud door slamming made it difficult for me to sleep comfortably or rest well. As for breakfast: perhaps because I'd seen comments/photos beforehand raising expectations too high—the variety felt somewhat lacking overall. For egg dishes specifically—it would have been nice if there’d been one more option besides omelets (e.g., boiled eggs or scrambled eggs). That said—the carrot dressing for salads tasted great! Unfortunately though—I found myself disappointed again when noticing tea wasn’t available among morning drink options despite plenty offered during café hours later-on…at least having *one* type included would've improved things significantly!

The donuts and nuts were much appreciated.

After check-in, complimentary tea, coffee, and donuts are provided, and in the evening, free nuts and pasta snacks are available, which were appreciated by both children and adults. A microwave was also available. The Room is quite standard for a Business Hotel. However, the bathroom curtain had a damp smell, which was a downside. Additionally, noise from the Room could be heard in the hallway, making it slightly noisy. The location is convenient as it is close to the station with easy access to OPA, 100-yen shops, pharmacies, sushi restaurants, izakayas (Japanese pubs), ramen shops, Round One entertainment centers—everything you might need.

    A clean and comfortable Hotel

Very comfortable stay with kind and helpful staff. The space where you can enjoy coffee, snacks, and even use at night was excellent. Thank you very much!

The services other than accommodation were excellent.

I arrived earlier than my scheduled check-in time, but there was a room on the front desk floor where guests could enjoy coffee and other beverages. It was really helpful to relax and check in comfortably, especially in the heat. There were also light sweets available, which were delicious. The amenities provided were minimal as explained, but I found them sufficient. Security is reliable as access to floors other than the accommodation floor requires a card key. Breakfast featured a vegetable-focused menu that might seem small at first glance but was perfectly adequate. It would have been nice to have more variety in bread options, considering it's Kobe. Check-out was quick and easy through an automated machine with no waiting time required. The front desk staff provided detailed explanations, which were very helpful. The accommodation is close to Sannomiya Station, so I would like to stay here again!

The front desk staff provided excellent service.

I stayed for three nights recently. The reception staff were kind, and the Room was spacious, which made it comfortable. However, there were some issues with room service: a toothbrush and tea were not provided in the Room (perhaps by chance), and the TV remote was old and unresponsive. Additionally, unlike other Comfort Hotels, breakfast is not complimentary here. The microwave is located in the breakfast area (which I didn’t realize at first), so if you buy something that needs heating outside of breakfast hours, you won’t be able to use it. On a positive note, after breakfast hours, the dining area is open for tea and snacks. Its proximity to Sannomiya Station makes it convenient as a Business Hotel overall, and I would consider staying again.

The Best Comfort Among Comfort Hotels (Personally)

As a frequent traveler for work, I have stayed at various Comfort Hotels across the country. While "Comfort" implies being "comfortable" or "pleasant," there were times when my experience felt far from it. The rooms are not particularly spacious, and there are no Onsen facilities, but they are conveniently located near stations, reasonably priced, and include free breakfast—so I often settled with a "well, it's fine." One specific issue I've encountered was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom areas of some accommodations. Whether it was due to the cleaning products used or poor drainage systems, the odor could be quite strong. Despite being close to stations and relatively new with well-maintained facilities, I decided never to return to certain locations because of this. However, my recent stay at ERA Sannomiya was different. The lounge on the first floor stood out—it was spacious with stylish furniture and layout. Unlike other Comfort Hotels that prioritize functionality by accommodating large numbers of people at once during breakfast hours, this one seemed more focused on design aesthetics—and I loved it. I arrived two hours before check-in time (3 PM) and left my luggage at the front desk around 1 PM before settling into their lounge for some work while enjoying a drink. It felt more comfortable than working in a café like Starbucks! For the first time ever in a Comfort Hotel lounge, I truly experienced "comfort." Sometimes working alone in your room can feel isolating; here you can simply head down to the lounge instead. Additionally, its proximity to Sannomiya Station is incredibly convenient. The room itself had no unpleasant odors and was very comfortable overall. Breakfast wasn’t significantly different from other Comfort Hotels but offered plenty of vegetables—a feature I appreciate about these accommodations. In conclusion: among all seven or so Comfort Hotels I've stayed at so far personally—this one ranks as my best experience yet!

It was a very beautiful Hotel.

The location is convenient and close to the station, and the rooms were very clean and well-maintained. We noticed that the sleepwear was available on the front desk floor and managed to bring it ourselves, but it was a bit hard to find. It might be helpful if this could be mentioned when explaining how to use the self-check-in machine. One small disappointment was that the pillows were too thin, and there was only one per person (many places now provide two). We considered going to the front desk to request more but decided not to since we were staying on an upper floor. It would have been nice if this information had been announced in advance, similar to the sleepwear. Other than that, we were very satisfied with services like welcome drinks and donuts! Thank you very much!

    Close to Sannomiya Station.

Close to the station, with a smooth check-in and check-out process. The room was clean, and the front desk staff left a very pleasant impression. A KINUJO hair iron is available for borrowing, which is especially appreciated during the rainy season. However, there were two disappointing points: 1. The bathroom had a strong moldy smell. Even with the door open and wearing a mask, the odor was overwhelming—likely due to the shower curtain being the main cause. There were also small traces of black mold around the edges of the bathtub. 2. There were no pajamas provided in the room; instead, guests needed to pick them up from an amenity bar near reception. While it's common for hotels to offer items like toothbrushes or razors in this way, not having pajamas available in-room was surprising for me personally as it was my first experience encountering this practice at any hotel. I noticed other guests seemed unaware as well and became "pajama refugees." Clearer announcements during check-in would be helpful. Although this is a new accommodation, these issues made my stay somewhat underwhelming, leaving me uncertain about booking again in future stays here.

    Room is personally 100% satisfactory.

I reserve with a focus on the bath and toilet, and this property is OK. The interior is clean, with no musty smell, so I felt at ease. The position of the TV was also easy to see and good. However, I could hear sounds from nearby rooms, which was sometimes bothersome while awake. There are only two elevators, but they are surprisingly in use, so I often had to wait. It seems there are only elevators to the front desk on the second floor, so stairs or an escalator would be convenient. I reserved with an eco-stay without fully understanding, but there was no room cleaning during the stay, no sheet changes, and the trash from light meals was left as is. New towels were hung on the door. I wish they had mentioned this as a confirmation when I checked in. I thought I would reserve next time with a better understanding.

I enjoyed using the Sweets & Library.

Close to Sannomiya Station, easy to explore and return without getting lost. The highway entrance is also nearby, making it easy to travel by car. The Room was clean and comfortable, so I was satisfied. The sweets and drink service were appreciated.
