    Always satisfied.

The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the meals at the first-floor restaurant are delicious. Breakfast is served with explanations of healthy items. There are various small side dishes, and they’re so tasty—I always look forward to them. Even the toothpicks, each wrapped in a cute kimono-style cover, reflect the staff’s kindness. There is no Onsen, but bath salts are provided instead. There are many types to choose from, which is a nice touch. The price is very reasonable, and I truly appreciate all of these services.

    Recommended breakfast

A healthy breakfast. It also explains the benefits of miso soup and barley rice. My personal recommendation is dishes made with Jerusalem artichoke. Jerusalem artichoke is a wholesome ingredient rich in nutrients such as inulin, with a great crunch and delicious flavor. In Tokyo, you usually only find small ones, but in Miyagi they are large and seem to be used in a variety of dishes. This breakfast included Jerusalem artichoke simmered in oil and pickles—both were excellent. They may look simple, so guests unfamiliar with them might hesitate to try them. However, I felt they are just as good as the other healthy ingredients on offer. Some foods that feel ordinary to locals can actually be hard to find elsewhere. These days you can even buy “Jerusalem artichoke powder” online. I’m looking forward to enjoying more local specialty dishes next time.

    Highly recommended cuisine.

It’s conveniently located close to the Shinkansen station, which is very helpful. Others may not mind, but I’m sensitive to smells, so I noticed a slight odor in the bathroom. I used a deodorizing spray (Resesh?). I’ve had dinner at the first-floor restaurant before, and I’m always happy with it: there are many dishes, everything is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I usually choose the set featuring the local specialty Shiroishi Umen noodles, and I love being able to enjoy small portions of various items. The small dish with Jerusalem artichoke is always tasty as well. This time there was also Jerusalem artichoke in the tempura, and its texture was exceptional—really delicious. The set meal even comes with good coffee at the end, which always makes me happy. This was my first time trying breakfast as well, and it also included items like kinpira made with Jerusalem artichoke—very tasty. In addition to regular rice there was barley rice too, but I chose bite-sized umen noodles instead. I also love yogurt and have it at any breakfast buffet; your Zao yogurt was outstanding—I almost went back for seconds if I’d had room. There were so many options that there were plenty of things I didn’t get to try this time. I’d like to have breakfast here again. Each toothpick was placed individually in a holder made from Japanese origami paper—I was truly impressed by such thoughtful attention to detail. Thank you very much.

    Comfortable Stay

The room was clean and comfortable. Above all, the breakfast was excellent. I was surprised to see beef tongue served for breakfast. Although I usually don't eat much breakfast, I had seconds of both rice and beef tongue. The beef curry was also delicious. If I visit Shiroishi again, I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    A standard Business Hotel

I stayed here during a business trip. It is an ordinary Business Hotel. Nothing particularly memorable. Thank you for your hospitality.

We fully enjoyed our time in Shiroishi.

The hotel near Shiroishi-Zao Station offers convenient access to the Shiroishi City Loop Bus, making it easy to visit Shiroishi Station and the castle. Additionally, rental bicycles are available at the station for exploring tourist spots. From Shiroishi Station, you can travel to Ogawara Station, famous for its Senbonzakura (a thousand cherry blossoms). Enjoy a stroll along the cherry blossoms by the Shiroishi River, visit Funaoka Castle Ruins Park, and return via Funaoka Station back to Shiroishi Station. A taxi ride from Shiroishi Station to the hotel costs 850 yen. This hotel served as a key base for enjoying Senbonzakura and sightseeing in Shiroishi City. There is also a Tsuruha Drugstore nearby, which is convenient for shopping essentials.
