    Conveniently located near the station, but has the breakfast venue service changed...?

    Conveniently located right in front of Fujinomiya Station (it seems there will be pedestrian overpass construction until the end of October, so please keep this in mind when getting around). In the past, the breakfast venue staff would proactively greet guests and speak to them, but this time—strangely enough—there were no greetings or any interaction at all, which surprised me. It was less a complaint and more something that felt puzzling and odd. I don’t know whether it was simply due to the shift schedule bringing together staff with that kind of approach, tension among staff, or an effort to avoid issues given the many international guests, but I felt it would be more comfortable to stay again if the environment returned to one where greetings and friendly communication are possible.

    Its location right in front of Fujinomiya Station is great.

    The Room was larger than expected, which was nice. However, the shower water temperature kept switching between hot and cold every 10-plus seconds, and throughout our two-night stay we could not get stable hot water regardless of the time of day. We also used the first-floor dining area for breakfast, but when pulling out the chairs there was an extremely loud scraping noise, likely from friction with the floor. This happened not only with us but with other guests as well, with loud noises coming from all around. Although the floor was clean, this atmosphere during breakfast was not pleasant.

    The staff were very courteous, and I was highly satisfied.

    We were very satisfied with the happy hour and breakfast, and the amenities were well stocked. The location was convenient, with a shopping mall nearby, and the front desk and staff were very helpful. The Room was very clean, and it felt like it had been thoroughly cleaned down to every detail. Thank you for taking care of us.

    The Hotel is clean, but...

    I stayed here to visit Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine. It’s conveniently located near the station, and if you have a car, it’s also handy for visiting Shiraito Falls and the Asagiri Highlands. The Hotel felt clean, and the services such as welcome drinks were good. The service arrangement with the affiliated parking lot was also good. However, when deciding between this Hotel and another nearby one, I chose this Hotel because it has a large public bath even though it cost a bit more—but I only found out after check-in that the men’s bath capacity is just three people. In the end, I used the shower in my Room. To be honest, calling something with a capacity of three a “large public bath” feels questionable. As for breakfast, you would normally expect to sit by Room or group, but there are only three or four long tables. During busy times you end up sitting right next to complete strangers, which honestly seems cramped—this isn’t a sports club or circle training camp. It’s fine for one night, but sorry to say I don’t think it’s suitable for a long stay.

    Your first time!

    This was my first trip to Fujinomiya at the age of 69! I had too much time before check-in, so I went to the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center and when I came back it was perfect timing to check in. I thought, “Alright, time for a bath,” but it turned out the bath isn’t available until 5:00 pm! I had plans to meet someone from 5:00 pm, so I couldn’t even have the welcome drink. I got back late and couldn’t use the bath, so I used the bath in my Room instead. It was nice that breakfast was free, but the yakisoba could have been better. The staff lady was cheerful and great! I don’t get many chances to visit, but if I come again, thank you in advance!

    Spacious guest room

    Although it is near the station, the Room is quiet and spacious. You shouldn’t expect much of a view of Mt. Fuji from the Room, but the open-air bath and breakfast featuring a rich variety of local dishes made us feel like we were at a resort. With many international guests, we were very satisfied to experience the charm of this international tourist city.

    The room was clean, convenient, and overall very good. The limited-time soft serve ice cream was delicious. I will use this accommodation again. In May, it seemed like there were many golf guests and foreign visitors (possibly Westerners).

    Great value for money

    I reserved a twin room for one person for one night. Only smoking rooms were available, so the hallway had a strong smell of tobacco, which also reached the room. There was only one elevator, so it took some time when the hotel was fully booked. The large public bath was very relaxing, and I was satisfied with the breakfast. The use of paper cups for tea and coffee seemed understandable due to limited staff availability. The welcome drinks, including alcohol, soft serve ice cream, and soft drinks, were much appreciated. Next time, I would like to stay in a non-smoking room.
