    Convenient.

This was my second stay here. For this trip, I had a live show in Tokyo and Disneyland the next day, so I debated choosing a Hotel closer to Chiba. In the end, I stayed here because it’s close to Haneda Airport for my outbound flight, and getting to Disneyland the next day is also quick by bus from Haneda. Even though it’s near Haneda, stopping by the Hotel just to store luggage would have been inefficient, so I used lockers at the nearest station. They were inside the ticket gates, which made everything very smooth. I checked in after the concert and enjoyed the curry. Being able to have a warm meal is comforting and a much-appreciated service. There’s also a convenience store nearby, so the location is great—good conditions and excellent value for money. Thanks to that, it turned into a wonderful trip.

The Room has an unpleasant odor.

From the moment I entered the Room, there was an unpleasant smell. I considered asking to change Rooms, but I gave up because I thought it would be the same. I think the air conditioner smells. Dust had built up, and there was dust on top of the tissue box as well. The walls were dirty and scratched, making the Room feel unclean. There is a free drink service in front of the front desk, but small insects are attracted by the sweet smell of juice and are flying around. I can’t say the curry or udon is good either. Being able to read manga is a positive point.

I’d love to stay here again soon.

About a 5-minute walk to Keikyu Kamata Station, which was very convenient. As mentioned in other Reviews, we really enjoyed the curry and udon.

    Highly recommended accommodation

The hotel is located between Keikyu Kamata Station and Kojiya Station, about a 5–10 minute walk from either. If you have luggage, I recommend using Kojiya Station, as the route is easier than walking to Keikyu Kamata. There are supermarkets and a shopping street near Kojiya Station, which is great for travelers who want to experience the local atmosphere. The hotel offers 24-hour curry rice, udon noodles, and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks—an excellent perk for guests. You can also pick up additional food at the 7-Eleven next door to make a satisfying meal. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I booked a twin room for solo use, which was more than enough space, with room to open my top-opening suitcase easily. The staff responded quickly whenever I had questions or needed assistance. If your flight arrives late or you need to head to Haneda Airport early in the morning, I highly recommend this place. Keikyu Line and JR stations are also nearby, making it very convenient for planning your trip.

    Does this look about right?

The area around the ventilation fan above the bed in the Room was covered in dust, which was unpleasant. The bathroom also had grime built up in the gap between the wall and the bathtub, which was also unpleasant. Given the price, it’s not a Hotel you can really expect much from, but if you’re running a Hotel, basic cleaning should be done properly regardless of price.

During my Multiple Night Stay, the curry was so delicious that I ended up having it every day! Which curry is it? It was so good that I’d like to buy it. The front desk staff were also very polite and helpful. I’m also very satisfied that I was able to read the manga I wanted to read.

    A Unique Hotel

At first, it felt a bit hard to find if you are not familiar with the area, but once you get used to it, it is conveniently close to the station and easy to access. The Hotel service offering udon, curry, and drinks available anytime is unique and unlike anything else. It may be a good choice for families. The Room is very business-like, but clean. I would stay again if I have the chance.

    It was comfortable.

This is my second stay. The lounge offered curry, udon, and drinks, which were delicious. The service was polite and attentive. The Room had a darker tone last time, but this time it was brighter with a different atmosphere. I enjoyed reading comics while using the coin laundry. It was convenient to get a taxi to Kamata Station quickly. I would love to stay again. Thank you!

The humidifier was broken, and the water compartment wouldn't close. It was too noisy to sleep when set to high. I had no choice but to use the low setting, which caused dryness and a sore throat, making the next day's trip less enjoyable.

    Compact and satisfying

We stayed for one night and two days in a Room for two people. The added value of having plenty of comics, inclusive curry, udon, and drinks was appealing. Overall, it was reasonably good since we didn’t have high expectations. However, the location was farther from the station than expected, and the bathroom curtain had an unexpectedly strong odor. Other than that, it was nice that you could take curry, udon, and drinks to your Room; there was a microwave available; the Room was compact but clean; and all standard amenities like outlets and power cords were provided. Above all, staying in a Room for two at such an affordable price really helped!

    Second stay

It takes about a 5-minute walk from Keikyu Kamata Station. It's a bit farther from the JR station, but it's easy to find. On the first floor, there are bookshelves filled with manga and free curry rice, udon, and drinks available. The complimentary offerings are much appreciated. There is also a convenience store next door where you can buy salads or other items if needed. The Room is not spacious but equipped with all essentials, including power outlets and USB charging ports by the bedside. A humidifier is provided as well; however, there’s only one outlet on the table and others near the bed, so using the humidifier may block access to open the refrigerator door. The location is close to Haneda Airport, making it an excellent choice for business trips. This time it was under 8,000 yen, offering great value for money!

A service fee of 600 yen will be charged when booking a taxi through the GO app at the front desk.

When I asked at check-in if a taxi could be called, they said yes. An hour later, I requested one, and they said it would arrive in a few minutes. Upon boarding and alighting, I was charged 400 yen for the pickup fee, 100 yen for the GO app usage fee, and another 100 yen as an additional charge—totaling 600 yen in fees—for a taxi with a base fare of 500 yen. Even though I requested it through the Hotel front desk, being charged for using the GO app made no sense to me. I've stayed at many hotels before but have never been charged a pickup fee when asking the front desk to call a taxi. And using something like the GO app? I've never heard of that being done by hotel staff before. They told me this is just their system but gave no explanation when I made my request. In the end, after explaining my dissatisfaction, they refunded me that amount—but I'm shocked such practices exist at any Hotel. On top of that, cleanliness was questionable—the room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in ages with dust everywhere. Underneath the bed had layers of accumulated dust; it was shocking to see how bad it was. The shower hook was loose and about to fall off; the refrigerator plug looked broken; and worst of all—the shower temperature fluctuated unpredictably between scalding hot and freezing cold. It made me question if this place is really in Japan given its standards—or lack thereof—and yet they're charging around 15,000 yen per night? It might be worth reconsidering your options carefully before staying here.

First-time stay. Compact but clean room. Convenience store next door, and the lobby offers curry, udon, and free drinks available anytime. Having warm curry even early in the morning gave me energy. I wanted to read some manga, but with an early check-out, I couldn't read much... The sheet mask gift was a nice touch! I’d love to stay here again when visiting Haneda Airport.

    It was comfortable.

I had a very comfortable stay. They kindly stored my luggage before check-in and provided additional face towels free of charge. I didn't have time to read the manga this time, but I would love to enjoy them on my next visit.

    Long time no see!

This was my several stay. The room was clean and nice, but I was bothered by a constant vibrating sound from my phone. Before checking out, I realized it was the sound of the refrigerator. This time, as my legs were tired, I felt disappointed that I couldn't stretch them in the bathtub, but other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.

It takes a bit of wa...

It takes a bit of walking from Keikyu Kamata Station, but the path is flat and not crowded, making it manageable even with a suitcase. There’s a convenience store (7-Eleven) next door, so shopping is no issue. The entrance door seems to be locked at midnight, but it may be locked earlier than that. If you’re arriving late, plan accordingly. The wallpaper in the Room is peeling in some areas, which gives an impression of poor cleanliness. While there is Wi-Fi available, the connection is almost unusable and even without Wi-Fi, mobile signal reception isn’t great either. The placement of the TV and bed feels awkward; you can only watch TV at an angle. When using the bath towel to dry my hair, I noticed what seemed like feathers mixed in—it was unpleasant. Room cleaning is only done upon request; however, despite not requesting it, someone knocked on my door in the morning. When I asked "What’s going on?" they responded in English for some reason. Even when calling the front desk where Japanese was spoken, parts of their explanation were hard to understand. Although I repeated back what they said for confirmation and thought we had mutual understanding—my request wasn’t fulfilled as intended. This was my first time struggling with Japanese communication at a Hotel in Japan!

    I had a comfortable stay.

I stayed with my child. Despite arriving more than an hour before check-in, we were kindly allowed to wait in the lobby's manga corner, and we were even able to enter the Room 30 minutes early, which I truly appreciated. The Room was clean and comfortable. Having free curry and udon available 24 hours was also incredibly helpful. I would love to stay here again.

    Convenient from anywhere

I chose Quintessa Hotel between Haneda and Yokohama for attending a live event at Yamashita Park. Room (Twin Use) The room feels spacious and is clean. The bathtub is relatively large, allowing for a relaxing soak. The bath towels are excellent. There’s enough storage space, making it easy to stay organized. Hotel Services The curry in the lobby looked delicious (though I didn’t try it). Free drinks are very convenient. There’s an impressive collection of manga available as well. Nearby Area There’s a convenience store next door, and the hotel is close to the station. While it faces a main road, the back area is a quiet residential neighborhood. There are many restaurants on the opposite side of the station. Transportation It’s conveniently located near Tokyo, Yokohama, and Haneda. I usually look for hotels near Tokyo Station during business trips, but Kamata seems like a great option too! Above all, this hotel was comfortable and highly recommended!

    Smells like sewage.

The shower and toilet had a strong sewage smell. The odor was so intense that it was difficult to enter the shower room without holding my breath. It's unfortunate because the location, price, and service were excellent.

    Manga, Curry, and Udon

It takes about 6-7 minutes on foot from Keikyu Kamata Station. If coming from JR Kamata Station, it will take a bit longer to walk. Inside, there is a large bookshelf lined with manga. Further inside, free curry rice and udon are available, even late at night or early in the morning. The Room may be slightly smaller than the standard Business Hotel size, but it feels new, clean, and comfortable. There is also a convenience store right in front of the Hotel, making it an excellent choice if you want to relax in your Room at night.

    Convenient Hotel

Conveniently located near Keikyu Kamata Station, with a convenience store next door. The friendly front desk staff adds to the pleasant experience. Enjoy your time in the Room with manga, curry, and beverages available. As it is a Business Hotel, no specific comments on the bath facilities. Despite having many international guests, it was quiet and comfortable... would love to stay again!

    Room amenities include...

It was cold and rainy that day, so the walk to the Hotel was a bit tough. It probably would have been fine if the weather had been clear. The drink service only had cold options, and the coffee was instant sticks, which was disappointing. The Room had thin walls, and I could clearly hear noise from next door. When I removed the humidifier tank to fill it with water, the filter was pitch-black with mold—it really creeped me out. The hair dryer’s handle was warped for some reason and looked like you could see inside; since it’s an electrical appliance, I used it nervously wondering if it might cause an electric shock. I think offering meals in the lounge is a good idea, but there are no particular partitions, so it seemed like even non-guests could just walk in and use it. I wondered whether security is really okay. I won’t be using this place again.

A last-minute one-night stay at the end of the year.

I used it for the New Year's Eve stay. The curry and udon were all-you-can-eat, and the service was excellent. I think it's one of the best hotels around Haneda.

    It exceeded my expectations.

Attracted by the low price, we stayed at the property. Although we are not interested at all, it is the perfect hotel for manga lovers. The front desk staff did not seem like typical hotel personnel. There was an all-you-can-eat curry, and when we tried it, it was spicy and delicious. What I liked the most was that disposable gloves were provided. Unfortunately, even though we stayed as a group of three, only two pillows and pajamas were prepared. The bathroom had a shower curtain that was a bit too narrow, and the hair tended to clog easily. The shower had a mist type, but it was not very good. The room had only indirect lighting like a foreign hotel, so it was dim. Also, the sound of water flowing continuously was quite noisy. The protruding space by the window in the corner of the room was very concerning.

    The meal service was enjoyable.

There is a convenience store nearby, but having curry rice and udon available in the dining hall when I got a little hungry at night was very helpful. Keikyu Kamata Station is also close for access to Haneda Airport, and I had a wonderful time. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
