    Comfortably

    We made a Reservation because the bathroom has a washing area. The bathroom was so spacious that we could stretch out and relax in the tub. When we entered the Room, both the air conditioner and air purifier were already running, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you very much.

    I was satisfied.

    I stayed last week. I suddenly felt like sightseeing in Kyoto, and chose this Hotel because it’s along Karasuma-dori and has Rooms with a bathroom that includes a washing area. After walking around from morning in the summer heat, drenched in sweat and exhausted, I was truly happy to be able to relax in the bathtub in my Room. I was so tired that I asked to extend my stay at the last minute, and it was a great help that I could stay in the same Room without any issues. Thank you very much! With its great location, it’s an ideal Hotel for a casual solo trip, and I’d definitely like to stay again. Just one thing: there are basic amenities, but if possible, having skincare items such as toner and bath salts would make it perfect. Thank you.

    Due to a typhoon, we had to shorten our stay by one night at short notice, but...

    Conveniently located halfway between Gojo and Shijo on the Karasuma Line, with an entrance on a main street, yet it was quiet at night. The Room was spacious, and the toilet and bathroom were separate, making it extremely comfortable. Due to a typhoon and the possibility that the Shinkansen might be suspended, we decided to return home a day early, so it was disappointing to stay one less night. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    High-quality Business Hotel

    I expected to check in quite late, and when I contacted the property, the staff member was very pleasant. Amenities were minimal—there was no lotion or similar items. The Room has a separate bath and toilet, but there is no changing area; overall, it felt well-suited for a simple solo stay. Above all, the location is very convenient, and I had no particular inconveniences during my stay. I would like to use it again when I just need a place to sleep.

    It was comfortable!

    During Golden Week, I suddenly decided to stay one more night and chose Itoya Hotel because it was close to the Hotel I stayed at the night before. It was in a great location, with easy access from the subway station and plenty of restaurants nearby. When I arrived at the Hotel front desk, I was told I could check in at the lounge, so I did. It was also nice that welcome drinks were available. I was surprised that the key was not a card type but a cylinder lock. I usually carry a key case so it didn’t bother me, but some guests might feel uneasy about it. The Room was spacious and comfortable. I also appreciated that the bathroom and toilet were in separate rooms. I wanted to open my suitcase, but it was disappointing that there wasn’t a luggage rack. They might have provided one if I had called, but I felt it would be nice to have one in the Room. The woman at the front desk had a wonderful smile, and my child who was with me said she made a very good impression as well. We had a relaxing and comfortable stay. Thank you!

    This is a repeat booking.

    I’m back for a second stay because I love the great location and the calm atmosphere. Most guests are from overseas, but everyone is well-mannered, so you can spend a relaxing time. It feels more comfortable than an upscale Hotel that can feel a bit intimidating, and it has none of the roughness of a cheap Hotel that’s just for sleeping—there’s a reassuring sense of comfort. The delicious breakfast in just the right portion is also a big plus. If I had to find one drawback… Depending on the Room, you can’t really see what it’s like outside, which might be a little inconvenient during seasons when you need to adjust what you wear based on the weather. It would be perfect if you could check outside conditions on a monitor via something like a live camera. (Though honestly, stepping outside to take a look is probably enough.) I’m sure I’ll be staying here again next time as well. Looking forward to it.

    The location is excellent, with easy access to many places. You can also use the subway and buses. It’s 900 yen by taxi from Kyoto Station. It’s within walking distance for younger guests. This time I stayed in a single room, and the best part was that the bathroom and toilet were separate. I also liked that the bath had a washing area. The sink was next to the TV as well, which made it very convenient to use. Everything was compact, making this a very user-friendly Hotel. The front desk staff were also very helpful. Perhaps because of inbound tourism there were many international guests, but it was still very quiet and comfortable. Thank you.

    Complete and accurate.

    I stayed here on a solo trip. The large bed and the bathroom with a separate washing area were must-haves for a walking-focused trip. With the bath salts I received for adding them as a LINE friend, I was able to warm up and ease my fatigue at a relaxed pace. The access from the station and bus stop was also very convenient. I could leave my luggage and head out light. A real highlight was being able to stroll all the way to Kennin-ji Temple on foot. I enjoyed walking, discovering streets and bridges I don’t usually take, and little shops tucked away in unexpected places. Breakfast tasted great and the portion size was just right. In Kyoto you tend to go for traditional options, but having bread was a nice choice too. Sipping coffee after breakfast while flipping through a Kyoto book made for a calm, pleasant morning moment as well. It was easy on my budget, so I’ll definitely stay again on another solo trip.

    This was my first so...

    This was my first solo trip, and I was nervous, but the staff were kind and helpful. The highlight was the bath. I usually use unit baths, but this time there was a washing area, so I could relax in the hot water and relieve my fatigue—it was perfect. Also, the wooden chair in the Room was lovely. Next time, I want to stay with my family. It turned out to be an amazing solo trip!

    Business Trip Use

    Ideal for business trips. The Room was clean with a separate bath and toilet, and the large bathtub allowed me to relax and unwind from work fatigue. Breakfast was a simple yet delicious choice of Western dishes, perfectly satisfying without the need for a buffet. The location is also convenient.

    I had a comfortable and worry-free stay.

    Very clean with friendly staff, making for a comfortable and secure stay. The Room and bath were also very clean. Since it resembles an apartment, there isn't much of an outside view, but it's a great place to stay around the Shijo-Karasuma area.

    I will use it for sightseeing next time.

    I used this place for my son's entrance exam, and the hospitality was necessary and sufficient. The quiet and calm atmosphere was very much appreciated. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, and the easy access to anywhere in Kyoto city makes me want to use it for sightseeing next time. Lastly, I would like to thank the staff member who gently encouraged my son with a "Do your best" after breakfast; he said it eased his nerves and allowed him to perform at his best. Thank you very much.

    Spacious Room

    The room was an Economy Double, but it was spacious and user-friendly compared to other hotels. The bathroom is separate, allowing you to relax in the bathtub. Breakfast is Western-style only, but it was very delicious with plenty of vegetables. The staff's response was excellent, allowing us to relax. During a Multiple Night Stay, it would be nice if room wear could be exchanged for a fee (especially in summer). There is no washing machine, so those who plan to minimize luggage by doing laundry should take note. Overall satisfaction is high.

    The cost performance, location, and everything are good; it is a recommended Hotel.

    The front desk service, cost performance, and location are excellent, and the bath with a washing area is comfortable. The welcome drink is delicious, and although the lounge is small, it is cozy and very tastefully decorated. I highly recommend this Hotel. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I did not have breakfast.

    A room with a sense of cleanliness.

    The room was compact and clean. The economy double room has a bathroom directly connected to the room without a dressing area. It didn't bother me as I was using it alone, but it might be a room to avoid for two people. Also, there is only one elevator in the facility, so there were times when we had to wait quite a bit depending on the time of day. Amenities are available for self-pickup next to the front desk and were sufficient. For breakfast, the main dish is ordered while drinks are self-service. During check-in, they informed us that there might be waiting times at the breakfast venue on weekends, allowing us to enjoy our meal leisurely by avoiding peak hours. The access was good and overall satisfaction was high, so I will use it again.

    The breakfast was good.

    I live in Kyoto, but for a change of pace, I stayed at this Hotel that I had been curious about. The staff were kind, and the Room was clean and quiet. The Facility itself is not new, and the ceiling is low, so there was a slight feeling of confinement. The Room had a desk and two chairs, which allowed my daughter and me to study facing each other, which was nice. Since the Room had a unit bath, we took a taxi to a nearby Onsen. It cost about 1,000 yen one way. Also, breakfast was served on a single plate when chosen. Since buffets can lead to overeating, this was a relaxing and delicious option. It felt like just the right amount. The drinks included hot coffee and fresh juice, which was nice.

    Unlike recent Hotels...

    Unlike recent Hotels, I wanted to rest in a calm space, so I used this one. It was calm and relaxing, but the following two points became a trigger for awareness. The air conditioner in the Room was shaking like a dehydrator, so I turned it off at night. The Hotel's comforter is based on being air-conditioned, so when I woke up in the morning, I felt a bit cold. As for the bathroom, there was room for doubt as to whether it was designed by someone who has never cleaned a bathroom. For example, how about the tray protruding next to the washing area in terms of cleaning efficiency? Also, the extra space in the bathroom seems to be squeezing the living area, making it narrow near the door and difficult to organize luggage.

    Kyoto is currently experiencing a significant price increase due to inbound tourism... Amidst this, I chose this place for its good location and cost performance. It was a Room that felt like an ordinary apartment converted into a Hotel rather than a typical Hotel. It's fine for a regular stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for those who want to feel like they're on a trip. The good points were the location and the courteous staff at the front desk.

    I often use it because I want to take a bath with a separate washing area. This time, I brought my favorite bath salts. I was able to warm up slowly and relieve my fatigue. Breakfast is also one of the attractions of this Hotel. It was delicious.

    Compact and user-friendly Room

    The room was compact yet very user-friendly and stylish. The bath and toilet were separate, allowing for a relaxing bath, which was very nice. Additionally, the washbasin was completely separate from the bath and toilet area. It was right next to the bed, which I personally found very convenient and nice. The key ring was also very stylish.

    A hotel more ordinary than expected.

    Used during the New Year holidays. I thought it was nice to be able to stretch my legs and soak in the bathtub with a separate washing area, so I stayed. However, while understanding that prices are higher during the New Year holidays, I had slightly too high expectations and found it to be a more ordinary Hotel than I thought. ■ Disappointing aspects - Smell The Room had a faint smell like aging. The bathroom didn't smell moldy, but it had a unique odor that persisted even with the ventilation fan running continuously. - The pillow also had a faint smell, and the deodorant spray provided in the Room was completely ineffective. - There was hair on the bathtub handrail. - The hangers were wooden, but most of the wood on the shoulder part was peeling off, causing the coat lining and knitwear to snag. - There was no baggage rack in the Room, and I had to inform the front desk to rent one. The one provided was also wooden and quite peeled, with a leg detached (it could be used if inserted). - There was hair on the towels after the second day's exchange. - The hairdryer was an old model, and the handle became hot in less than 5 minutes, making it seem like I might get burned if I didn't switch hands frequently (I informed the staff upon checkout). - There were small insects in the Room after check-in and after the towel exchange. - The sound was quite resonant (door opening and closing, noises from the floor above, sneezing, etc.). - The washbasin had a mirror with a very bright light, but it couldn't be turned off. At night, the light was unnecessarily dazzling. - There was no cover on the door scope (this might be typical for Hotels, but given the current times, it made me a bit uneasy. It was good that I could block it by shifting the notice attached to the door with a magnet). ■ Positive aspects - The staff were all courteous. - Two 500ml bottles of water were always provided and replenished daily. - The bathtub was spacious, allowing for leg stretching while seated. - The washing area wasn't cold. - The toilet and washbasin were clean. - Although the Room was near the elevator, noise from the door side didn't resonate. - The towels didn't smell. - The outlets were plentiful and well-placed. As I am somewhat meticulous and sensitive to noise, I think it would be a lovely Hotel for those who aren't as concerned. If used at a time other than the New Year holidays, it gives the impression of being a step above a Business Hotel. However, due to the slightly lacking service in details like cleaning, towels, and hangers, I would like to carefully consider the timing of my next stay.
