    I was only looking for convenience, but it turned out to be even more than that.

    Free on-site surface parking. A gas station is nearby; McDonald’s and the Valor supermarket are next door; Sukiya is across the road; and Takoman (a local confectionery) is just opposite. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff’s warm smiles make you feel at ease. Even the housekeeping team greets you with a smile, not just the front desk, which is very pleasant. The large public bath has long opening hours, feels very clean, and is spacious. When I asked to have the air purifier replaced, they brought one right away. They also kindly explained that what I thought was dirt wasn’t actually dirt (they were considerate so I wouldn’t feel embarrassed). I didn’t catch their name, but thank you for your help despite being busy. It was so good that I extended my stay to a Multiple Night Stay.

    Everything is compact.

    The Room was small, but fairly clean and comfortable. The view from the Room was rural, but the wide horizontal window made it feel open and airy. I could hear some noise from the hallway, but it was during reasonable hours so it wasn’t an issue. There were indeed plenty of books, though they felt a bit old. Breakfast had the basics covered, and it was nice to have whitebait and oden. The bath area has six washing stations, so it’s not really a large public bath, but it’s fine on less busy days or at off-peak times. For the price, I think this is a perfectly adequate Hotel.

    Highly recommended for an overnight stay during your long-distance travel on the Tomei Expressway!

    During our drive from Kyoto to Tokyo after the New Year holidays, we decided to make an impromptu overnight stop in Shizuoka due to traffic and weather concerns. We found this accommodation on IKYU.com based on its good reviews and quickly made a reservation. By that evening, it was fully booked, so our quick decision paid off. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming both over the phone and in person. While there is no Onsen, the large public bath was spacious and relaxing, with POLA-brand shampoo and soap provided. Breakfast is available for 900 yen as a buffet with limited but satisfying options. Local specialties such as shirasu rice or Shizuoka oden were mentioned on the site as examples of dishes served. Since I love shirasu rice, I opted for breakfast but ended up having Shizuoka oden instead during my stay—it was delicious despite my initial disappointment. From my room, I could see Mount Fuji along with the year's first full moon and sunrise—a breathtaking view! That night, I enjoyed watching a TV program I didn’t want to miss while lying comfortably in bed with a flat-screen TV right in front of me. The pillow provided was too high for me; unfortunately, all alternative pillows had already been borrowed due to full occupancy. It would be great if lower pillows were available. The lobby offers complimentary coffee service only in the morning; however, guests can enjoy free Shizuoka tea after check-in. Although there’s a kettle and refrigerator in each room, tea leaves or coffee are not provided—I wish coffee could be made available (there are vending machines though). Across from the accommodation is "Takoman," a confectionery shop unique to Shizuoka Prefecture where I unexpectedly found some delicious treats that I'd previously tried at an expressway service area—this discovery alone made my stay even more delightful! I’d definitely consider staying here again during future trips home!

    Clean and well-maintained

    The Hotel was clean. The front desk staff were very pleasant. They also responded politely to a foreign tourist who was saying incomprehensible things on the same day, which left a good impression. The bath could have been a bit hotter, but it was easy to use.

    Clean Room with ample space. The air conditioning is quite strong. There is a power outlet by the bedside. The Room does not have a bathtub, only a shower, so those who wish to soak in hot water need to use the large public bath on the first floor. Hot water flows well from the sink, but the cold water pressure was weak. There is a 7-Eleven next door, but dining options nearby are limited (one izakaya, McDonald's, and Matsuya). However, there is a supermarket and Daiso available.

    Clean and friendly

    The front desk staff were polite and made my stay pleasant. The Room was also clean. It was disappointing to see several people with tattoos in the bath, despite the sign prohibiting tattoos.

    Satisfaction beyond the price

    We used a family room for less than 6000 yen per person per night. Both the guest room and the large public bath were new and clean, and we were very satisfied. The large public bath is small, so during busy times, the lockers and washing area might fill up quickly, but during our stay, there were only about 1-2 groups, so it was very comfortable. Given the price, we can't complain, but there are few baby items, so having items like a diaper trash can or a step stool would be even better for stays with children.
