    Better than expected.

    Overall, I was satisfied. The night light in the Room I stayed in had a reddish tone, but it was too bright for me and not very comfortable. The footsteps from the floor above were also loud late at night, and I woke up several times. The bath area felt clean, and I liked that the open-air bath has no roof so you can see the sky.

    Attractive bath and breakfast

    The baths are among the best of any Accommodation I’ve visited. Security is solid, so you can feel at ease. The complimentary ice cream after a bath is a nice touch. Breakfast is delicious across the board, and it’s easy to overeat. The seafood rice bowl is so good you’d be satisfied even if you had it for lunch. This is a strong candidate to become my regular go-to Accommodation.

    Dormy Inn

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate our grandchild's Shichi-Go-San. This was our third visit. We enjoyed a relaxing bath and a delicious breakfast. However, while in the room, we found the noise from upstairs quite loud! It made us wonder if there is proper soundproofing in place.

    A bit far from the station, but very satisfying.

    The only drawback is that it’s far from the station, making it a bit tough to walk. However, once inside, you can enjoy reading comics, have ice cream, and the Room is equipped with individual air conditioning for comfort. Being able to use the bath all night is also greatly appreciated.

    Journey Through the Four Temples of Tohoku

    Conveniently located between Sendai and Matsushima for sightseeing. Situated in the coastal area, it was very easy to use as we were traveling by car. Very satisfied.

    Excellent service provided

    The complimentary ice cream, Yakult, and coffee after a bath, as well as the coin laundry service, are great. The coin laundry is especially convenient with a lock for security and being free is fantastic! Breakfast is 2500 yen, which feels a bit expensive for a Business Hotel. It would be nice if it were around 1500 yen instead.

    The breakfast was delicious.

    The facilities and services made us feel like we were at an Onsen Ryokan. Dormy Inn's signature "Yonaki Soba" was, of course, available, along with a great selection of post-bath ice cream. The breakfast menu was also extensive, and the seafood bowl was incredibly delicious. The bath area included a sauna and open-air bath, providing a very fulfilling bathing experience.

    The bath was excellent.

    The bath, open to the public, was always available and comfortable to use. The flow from the sauna → cold bath → outdoor space was perfect. The löyly session every 20 minutes was also excellent. Breakfast featured local Sendai specialties such as seafood rice bowls, beef tongue stew, and noppei soup, making it very satisfying. Additionally, I enjoyed Dormy Inn's signature services like free ice cream, Yakult drinks, and late-night soba noodles. I would love to stay here again!

    Great value for money.

    Stayed at the accommodation after visiting Matsushima. There is a super sento (large public bath) attached, the staff were courteous, and the breakfast was excellent!

    Satisfied.

    It is 35 minutes from the city center. It is beautiful and like new. The ice candy and night soba are also good. I will repeat my stay.

    The night soba is delicious.

    The room was not spacious but was clean and tidy. There was a humidifier, and since the pillow provided was low, I borrowed a buckwheat husk pillow. It would be convenient if two types of pillows were available to avoid the need to borrow one. The Onsen was spacious, and I enjoyed it during less crowded hours, which made it comfortable and relaxing. However, it was disappointing that the hotel's signature outdoor Ryujin bath could not be used due to mechanical issues. Breakfast included a seafood bowl in the morning, which was very delicious. The late-night soba noodles were consistently tasty as well—thank you for the wonderful meal! Thank you for your hospitality!

    Guidelines for International Guests

    We would like to request standardized signs, notices, and prohibitions across the entire Hotel industry. Although the hospitality and service are excellent, it is unfortunate that some guests from overseas are unaware of proper manners.

    A comfortable Hotel with Onsen

    I stayed for two days from December 20th. The property was newly and beautifully cleaned, the onsen was spacious, and the attention to detail, such as drinks and ice cream after bathing, made for a very comfortable stay. The room was not particularly large, but it had a convenient layout. The breakfast menu included both Japanese and Western options, and I was particularly surprised by the beef tongue stew, which had a very large piece of beef tongue. Even though there were many people at the front desk during checkout, I didn't have to wait thanks to the automatic payment machine. The only slightly disappointing aspects were the echoing sound of footsteps in the hallway and seeing a foreign guest wearing my slippers from the shoe rack near the bath, despite the numbers being written on the shoe rack. Most people wear slippers barefoot from their rooms, so it would be nice if we could use the unused day-use bathers' shoe rack with locks. Overall, it was a great value for money, and I definitely want to use it again.

    As always, the high quality is impressive. However, just one point. The elevator walls are dusty, which is unpleasant and irritating, so please improve this. The Room and corridors are clean, so please do.

    Many inbound guests

    Inbound tourists seem to be energetic everywhere, and there were many here as well. It basically feels like a day-use bathing Facility attached to a Business Hotel. My companion seemed to enjoy the bath, but I just took a shower in the Room. I was satisfied as I could spend my time quietly without any excess or deficiency. However, instead of having breakfast at the Hotel, since you are in Shiogama, why not try seafood aimed at tourists at places like Shiogama Wholesale Market? You can choose your own ingredients, purchase them, buy a rice set at a designated place, and make your own seafood bowl. There was also a paid service to grill dried fish. I was very satisfied.

    Dinner is at Kirin Beer Port (one free drink with flyer).

    Stayed during a trip to Tohoku for sightseeing in Matsushima the next day. I confirmed that the Kirin Beer Sendai Factory was within walking distance and made a reservation here. The flyer for Kirin Beer Port in the entrance lobby stated "Bring this for one free drink per person," so we brought the flyer and received one free drink per person. On the way there, I felt the sidewalk on the seaside was dark, so on the way back, I took the opposite sidewalk to the hotel. After returning to the hotel, I went to the large public bath. I noticed a group of foreign guests checking in, but perhaps due to the time, it wasn't very crowded. Breakfast was a convenience store sandwich. The entrance lobby also had ice bars and coffee, which added to the sense of value.

    Since it was a stay ...

    Since it was a stay during a three-day weekend, it felt expensive even with No Meals Included. The Room was spacious, so that was good. The bath was quite crowded, likely due to the fact that it also accommodates day-trippers and it was a holiday. The changing room, depending on the users' manners, didn't feel very clean. I think it's nice that you can use the bath at night, but personally, I wish they would do some cleaning in between.
