    A very convenient Hotel

    I made a last-minute Reservation the day before Yoiyama of the Gion Festival and stayed on the day of Yoiyama. It was my first time using this Hotel, and I was amazed by how close it is to the station and how perfectly located it is for sightseeing during the Gion Festival—I could see Naginata-boko right nearby. In the evening, many food stalls lined up in front of the Hotel, and the area was bustling with people. The Hotel itself is set back down an alley; you take an elevator up to the second floor to reach the front desk. Despite the crowds outside, it was quiet and comfortable in my Room. The staff were also very kind and helpful. Thanks to this stay, I was able to experience my first Gion Festival, including Yoiyama and the Yamaboko Junko parade. It was very hot, but it became a wonderful memory.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    The building is new, and the room was clean. The cleaning staff greeted us cheerfully, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The front desk staff were also polite. Amenities were available on the floor with the front desk, but a foreign tourist ahead of me took a large amount, so I couldn't get items like face packs, bath salts, cosmetics, or coffee. If you have the courage to step in or ask the staff for assistance when necessary, it should be fine. However, during certain times, the check-in floor gets crowded and busy; this might make you feel like letting it go instead of asking for help—just my personal opinion based on my personality. Adjusting your check-in time slightly might help avoid this issue. Additionally, there were more laundry users than expected at night which made it a bit noisy late at night. The accommodation is conveniently located near the station and had affordable accommodation fees for a weekend stay. I would love to stay here again! Thank you for two comfortable nights!

    Reasonable price dur...

    Reasonable price during the peak cherry blossom season. 80% of guests are inbound tourists. The amenity station at the reception was well-stocked, which was appreciated. Some hotels fail to restock after items are taken by inbound guests, but this Hotel ensures proper replenishment, which is commendable. The Room was originally a twin converted into a double, so the lighting and outlet placements were awkward. If renovating, please do it thoroughly. Cleaning was not meticulous; those sensitive to house dust may experience coughing or sneezing (as I did). The front desk staff were kind and helpful.

    The location is excellent.

    Conveniently located near Shijo Subway Station and Karasuma Station. However, the staff's attitude was disappointing. As a Business Hotel, I did not expect high-level service, but there were several unpleasant experiences. For example, when I requested a late check-out, the response was dismissive with an "Oh, yes, yes" attitude. It also took quite some time to adjust the room key settings (of course, I paid the required fee). Additionally, when I asked a new staff member for directions to an entrance with escalator access to reach Karasuma Station with my suitcase, they were unsure at first—which is understandable—but a senior-looking staff member who overheard simply pointed silently at an entrance number without any explanation or smile. Upon confirming it with them directly, they curtly said "Yes," still without any friendliness. Moreover, that entrance had some stairs on the way to Karasuma Station despite being fine for Shijo Station access. I am certain that I behaved respectfully throughout my stay and have never encountered such unpleasant experiences in other Hotels during my domestic or international travels before writing this Review here today.
