    I always stay here.

    I always stay here when I visit Tokyo. It’s close to the station, which is very convenient. However, I usually book a single room, and perhaps because of the season, I felt the air conditioning was quite strong (and a bit noisy), which bothered me slightly.

    Breakfast is delicious.

    Although it is an older Hotel, I have stayed here many times because the breakfast is delicious. I personally find it convenient because I go to a nearby chanko hot pot restaurant for dinner.

    Its age is unmistakable.

    I had an errand in Yotsuya and was looking for Accommodation along the Sobu Line when I found this place. It may be the closest Hotel to Ryogoku Station. However, being “the closest” is not its only feature. The age of the Hotel is hard to tolerate. The guest room, bathroom—everything smelled like damp laundry. It was a musty smell that seemed to seep out from how old it is—dampness? mold? I’m not sure how to describe it. I couldn’t stand it... One saving grace of an older Hotel was that the window could be opened fully, so I slept with it wide open and plenty of fresh air coming in. Next time, if I ever stay in Ryogoku again, I’ll choose the A◯A Hotel even if it’s a bit farther away.

    Improved service!

    Has it been about half a year? I stayed for one night, and there were welcome drinks, including coffee and even wine. I’m happy to see the improved service.\nI will continue to use this Hotel. Thank you.

    The air conditioner is too cold.

    The air conditioner was set far too cold, and the cold air blew directly onto the bed, so I couldn’t sleep because it was too chilly. But if I turned it off, it was hot and I would sweat. For older guests, sleep while traveling directly affects the next day’s activities. The exterior is classic and lovely, but I didn’t expect this Hotel to be so unsuitable for a good night’s sleep.

    An Extremely Terrible Check-in Experience

    I have traveled to Japan many times, and this was the worst accommodation experience. After housekeeping, items in my room went missing and some product packaging had been opened. I clearly provided photos taken before leaving the room showing that nothing was missing. The hotel staff still stated that the housekeeping staff did not touch anything in the room, but they could not provide any supporting evidence and handled the matter passively. Very disappointing—I will not stay at this hotel again.

    The amenity holder above the sink in the unit bathroom has not been cleaned.

    There was a used, broken cotton swab in the amenities holder. It was hard to tell whether it had been used by the previous guest or during cleaning, but it was unpleasant. The Room itself was clean considering the Hotel’s age. The self check-in machine is poorly operated, so it would be good for Hotel staff to try using it themselves at least once.

    Ideal for attending a baseball game at Tokyo Dome.

    Right in front of the station with no transfers from the dome, and there was a convenience store nearby, so it was very convenient. I was also able to go back to the Hotel and relax between the day game and night game. The self-service luggage storage before check-in had two options: a type where you secure your suitcase with a wire, and lockers that return your coin. I had requested a quiet Room, and I couldn’t hear any train noise at all, so I was able to spend my time peacefully. It was cold outside due to the low temperature, but it felt a bit warm inside the building; by opening the window to let in cool air, I felt it was comfortable enough even without individual air conditioning. The staff responded quickly and kindly to my requests for loan items, and everyone was very pleasant. I was told that bladed items such as scissors cannot be lent out for use in the Room, so I borrowed them at the front desk and used them there. Streaming videos over Wi‑Fi was smooth with no issues. For amenities, I would have liked makeup remover, facial cleanser, and toner/lotion. Also, although it said “comb/brush,” there was a brush but no comb. Maybe it’s meant as either a comb or a brush; I had been counting on having a comb, so that part was a little disappointing. The tea set included stick-type powdered green tea and roasted green tea (hojicha). There was also a foldable luggage rack, which was convenient. This may depend on the Room type, but I liked that there was space near the door to hang clothes on hangers. Everything was kept very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

    Is it a bit old?

    Conveniently located near a JR station. The Hotel is a bit old, and the breakfast was disappointing. The staff were kind.

    Second Stay

    Despite being close to the station, it was a very quiet Hotel. I was upgraded and could relax in a spacious Room. The bathroom was also large, allowing me to stretch my tired legs comfortably. However, it was disappointing that there was no coffee in the Room. Other than that, I was very satisfied. I would love to stay here again when I visit Tokyo.

    Room cleaning is thorough and clean.

    The Room was clean, but the Facility's TV was old, with part of the screen blacked out. Additionally, registering the video numbers was challenging. Other than that, it was good and comfortable.

    Temporary Return Stay

    Stayed for 6 nights with my children during a temporary return to Japan. The staff were very polite, kind, and attentive. Their warm greetings every day made our stay truly pleasant and enjoyable. While the building shows some age, it was kept clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay without any issues. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

    A good business hotel, except the internet is slow.

    This is an excellent Hotel by Business Hotel standards. It’s located right in front of the Ryogoku Station ticket gates, with Marugame Seimen, Saizeriya, and convenience stores nearby. However, while a slightly smelly shower curtain is common at Business Hotels, this one was pretty bad. Since you only use it when showering, it’s manageable—but more importantly, the internet connection was unreliable, which was a problem. If you come expecting something like Asakusa View Hotel, you may be surprised by how much it feels like a Business Hotel. There are many foreign staff members to accommodate international guests, and you may need to communicate while reading between the lines. That aside, I was also concerned that the service from the Japanese staff felt somewhat lacking. For a Business Hotel stay, it would be perfect if only the internet were improved. The building may be a bit old, but perhaps due to renovations I didn’t notice any issues at all. It’s not ideal for taking parents from out of town sightseeing in Tokyo and treating them to “city-hotel” hospitality—but for a solo stay, it’s more than sufficient.

    Is there an elevator?

    I have been using this accommodation as my regular stay for business trips for nearly 10 years. Recently, it has become quite crowded with many international guests, but I still like this hotel. This time, during check-out, the elevator took a long time to arrive, and even when it did, the same international guests kept going back and forth, making it impossible to get on for over 10 minutes. It seemed that a group of international guests was moving around looking for their companions' rooms. In the end, it took me 15 minutes just to get from the 8th floor to the front desk. It was a bit disappointing.

    It was comfortable.

    I occasionally used it for business trips. In the evening, I attended a social gathering and entered the Hotel after 9 PM. The room was clean, equipped with a humidifier, and very comfortable to stay in, allowing me to relax and recover from fatigue. As for requests, while instant tea is available, coffee has not been provided for some time now, which is disappointing. Additionally, having an alcohol vending machine would be even better. Lastly, the Hotel rates have risen significantly. For pensioners like myself, this is a heavy burden; introducing senior discounts would be greatly appreciated.

    The location is excellent as it is adjacent to Ryogoku Station!

    I visit Ryogoku 4 to 5 times a year, but this was my first time staying here. It was very convenient as it is close to the station and also near places to eat and drink from the Hotel. Thank you for your hospitality.
