  Smells strongly of cigarette smoke.

  There were no non-smoking Room available, so I stayed in a smoking Room. I expected the Room to smell of cigarettes, but the entire Hotel smelled like smoke and it was uncomfortable. The bathroom also had an unpleasant odor. There were students hanging around in the parking lot, which felt intimidating. I wish I had chosen a different Hotel.

  Thank you very much for staying at APA Hotel <Okayama Ekimae>. Despite your choosing our Hotel, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort and anxiety you experienced during your stay. We deeply regret that we left you so disappointed that you even considered staying elsewhere, and we reflect seriously on our shortcomings. As there were no non-smoking Rooms available on the day, you stayed in a smoking Room; however, we failed to provide sufficient consideration regarding odors not only in the Room but throughout the building and even in the bathroom, making your stay unpleasant. Going forward, in addition to ensuring thorough ventilation on each floor, we will further strengthen deodorizing measures during guestroom and bathroom cleaning as well as overall cleanliness management, and strive to maintain a space where all guests can stay comfortably. We also apologize again for causing you fear due to groups of students gathering around the parking area. With guest safety as our top priority, we will enhance patrols within the premises—including at night—and will respond firmly by promptly speaking to them when observed and consulting with the police as necessary. We are truly sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations.   The Reservation was not completed.

  I stayed here during a business trip. At check-in, I was told there was no Reservation, which was surprising as I always book through IKYU. It took quite some time, but I finally managed to check in! Although I booked a single Room, I ended up in a triple Room, which was very spacious. I'm not sure if it was due to double booking, but I'm glad everything worked out and I could stay. I didn't use the large public bath, so I'm unable to comment on it.

  Conveniently located near the station

  Conveniently located near the station. There was a large public bath, which I enjoyed as I like such facilities. A female staff member at the front desk made me feel more comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of dishes, especially plenty of vegetables, and it was delicious. Just one thing: I gave a rating of 4 not because of any fault on the hotel's part but because I didn't check my accommodation plan carefully enough—it turned out to be a smoking room. Since I don't smoke, the faint smell of tobacco in the room bothered me. I'll make sure to check next time. Thank you for your hospitality!

  The room is small. Amenities are replaced, but used towels from the previous day are not collected. Soundproofing is poor, and the noise from the neighbor's shower can wake you up.

  The large public bath is far away.

  It is an average APA Hotel. The downside is that the large public bath is far away, and if the room is in a separate building, you have to go outside, which was cold in winter. Other than that, it passes as an APA Hotel.

As for the guest rooms in the North Building, there are only two types: non-smoking single rooms and non-smoking double rooms. If your room type does not correspond to these, you will be directed to the South Building, which does not have a large public bath. Additionally, to access the large public bath in the North Building from the South Building, you will need to use the external connecting corridor.   Perfect

  The bed is fluffy, the food is delicious, the Room's lighting is easy to adjust, and being in the large public bath is perfect.

  I used the room with...

  I used the room with No Meals Included. The bed was high, and with blackout curtains, I had a very comfortable sleep and was very satisfied. I stayed alone, but the room was spacious enough and did not feel cramped. There were also books available, which was a delightful touch that kept me entertained.
