    breathtaking

    Even if it’s hot, you’ll be fine—right in front of the station.

    Close to the station, and they were able to store our luggage, which made our trip in the hot summer very comfortable. The Room was also very spacious. The interior and bathroom were clean as well. There is a step at the bathroom entrance, and after freshening up, I was surprised by it. The staff were very helpful, and it made for an enjoyable trip.

    We had a very satisfying trip.

    The Room has four beds, so we could relax and chat comfortably. It’s close to the station, making it convenient for getting around, and it was helpful to have access to luggage storage lockers even after check-out. One request: since there were four of us, we would have liked one more vanity mirror. It was a wonderful trip and we were very satisfied.

    Spacious

    Checkout is at 9:00 AM, and the pricing was pleasantly reasonable. The Room was spacious and quiet, so I slept very well. The front desk also had plenty of Kyoto sightseeing brochures, which were helpful. I would like to stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

    Short Stay & Room Assignment Plan

    Used the “Short Stay & Room Assigned by the Accommodation” Plan. I stayed after confirming it was listed as 13 m², but there were beams on both sides of the Room, and the gap between part of the bed and the wall was so narrow that I had to move sideways to reach the desk by the window. The mirror in the Room was also positioned so that I had to lean in to use it. The unit bath was small, and the bathtub was even smaller. It was difficult to step over and not easy to use; it also seemed like a challenging size for housekeeping to clean. I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and when I returned to my Room each time, I noticed that my slippers were left scattered around. I’m not asking for them to be perfectly aligned, but being placed far more carelessly than before going out did not feel pleasant. The location is excellent. You can get there from Kyoto Station via an underground passageway, so weather is not an issue. Also, in Kyoto—where finding an available coin locker has become difficult—the ability to leave luggage before check-in is very helpful. If you place importance on in-Room facilities, it may be better to choose a standard Plan where you can select your Room rather than the lowest-priced Plan.

    This was my first time staying here.

    It’s very close to Kyoto Station, and the location—right beneath Kyoto Tower—was easy to find, which was a big help for someone like me who gets lost easily. All the staff were kind and helpful, and the amenities were well stocked, which I appreciated. However, it was disappointing that I had trouble falling asleep due to noisy foreign guests in the hallway at night and voices and sounds from people outside. Given how convenient the location is, I felt that noise from the surroundings may be an issue.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    The Room is not very spacious, but it is sufficient for an overnight stay at a Business Hotel. The station is nearby, and the bus terminal is right in front, which is convenient. We received a discounted admission ticket for Kyoto Tower.

    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located in front of the station and close to an underground exit, so you can arrive from the station with little to no exposure to rain. The front desk staff were also very helpful. As a participating Hotel for same-day baggage delivery within the city, it’s ideal if you plan to change Hotels during your stay in Kyoto, allowing you to sightsee hands-free. The Room appears to have been renovated and felt clean. Overall, it was a convenient and comfortable stay, and I would like to use it again.

    Thinking it was the ...

    Thinking it was the perfect chance, I visited Kyoto for the first time in a while! The location is excellent, with an underground passage connected to the station. They also store your luggage for you. There are many souvenir shops on the first floor, so it’s very convenient. I booked with breakfast included, but were there any Tsujiri sweets? I was looking forward to them, so it was disappointing. Also, I couldn’t use the coffee machine.

    It was the worst.

    I stayed for two nights, but both breakfast and dinner were the same menu each day. The meals were also very poor in quality and content. The in-room toilet lid would not open fully, so it kept falling back onto my back while I was using it, making it impossible to use the toilet comfortably—another unacceptable issue.\nThis was a complete mistake.\nI always use IKYU to choose an Accommodation, but compared with before, there seem to be more poorly managed properties being listed lately. I am very dissatisfied about that as well.

    Convenient

    Directly connected to Kyoto Station, it was extremely convenient. We also received a discount voucher for the tower and used it. Thank you very much. We would like to stay again.

    Compact interior

    The room felt quite compact. The bathtub was a bit small, so I only used the shower. The pajamas (bathrobe) had a nice texture and were comfortable to wear.

    Kyoto Tower Hotel

    The staff’s hospitality was good. Conveniently located near Kyoto Station. The building is old, and the Room had a poor view. It was disappointing that the toilet and bath are in a unit bathroom.

    I chose this accommo...

    I chose this accommodation near Kyoto Station because of the early booking discount and reasonable price. While it was a single room and I didn't expect luxury, the location and service were excellent. I especially appreciated receiving a discount ticket for Kyoto Tower, which allowed me to visit for the first time in about 40 years since my high school trip. It brought back nostalgic feelings, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Excellent location near the station

    The location is excellent. Having a Starbucks and souvenir shops on the first floor was very convenient. The guest rooms have become much cleaner compared to before, making for a pleasant stay. Luggage storage was smooth and convenient as well. Thank you! However, the bathtub in the bathroom was narrow, which slightly dampened my mood. I understand this might be due to Facility limitations...

    Step in the Bathroom

    The room was as expected, so I was mostly satisfied. However, the step in the bathroom was quite high, which felt a bit thrilling for someone of my age. It might not be an issue for younger guests. The location near the station was very convenient.

    Great location

    Conveniently located near the station and connected underground, making it ideal for hot or rainy days. Self-service luggage storage is hassle-free. The Room is not spacious but clean and comfortable. Would love to stay again.

    It was really great.

    I had never stayed at Kyoto Tower Hotel before, so since it was close to my destination, I made a Reservation to give it a try. In conclusion, it was excellent. The access is great, and the basement food court is well stocked and fun. The concept Room had a wonderful Kyoto feel, and even when I made the Room completely dark to sleep, I personally loved how the window lattice softly appeared in silhouette from the outside light. The bathroom area felt a bit dated, but it was properly cleaned and comfortable. However, the light bulb at the Room entrance was burnt out, so I would have appreciated it being checked during cleaning to ensure it turns on properly. Other than that, I was very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Thoughtful and attentive service

    I am visually impaired and stayed at the accommodation this time as well with my guide dog. Every time, I receive kind and attentive service, allowing me to have a comfortable stay, for which I am truly grateful. I look forward to your continued support in the future.

    Unfortunately.

    At checkout, I reported that the toilet flush water was not working. I was informed that it might take about 5 minutes for warm water to come out. The response was very disappointing. It is recommended to replace it with a bidet toilet that works at all times.

    Disappointing cookies

    Stayed with a plan available for those born in the 1960s to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Kyoto Tower. Received limited edition cookies, but for a stay on March 25, the cookies provided had an expiration date of March 26.

    Nintendo Museum & Kyoto City Tour

    I stayed at a hotel near Kyoto Station after winning tickets to the Nintendo Museum on my fourth attempt. I also visited Kyoto Tower with a discount for accommodation guests and went up to the observation deck for the first time. There was an event being held, so it was enjoyable both for the view and as entertainment for children. The room accommodated our family of four comfortably with an extra bed prepared, making our stay pleasant. Although we didn’t include meals in our plan, there are plenty of restaurants nearby offering many options. However, some places may turn you away if you don’t reserve in advance, so it’s best to make a reservation if there’s a specific restaurant you want to visit.

    Excellent location

    The surrounding environment of the Kyoto entrance is vibrant and can satisfy travelers. However, it was disappointing that the washlet in the Room's toilet was broken and unusable, so I had to use the toilet in the lobby.

    The location is excellent!

    This is my second stay. As expected, the location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk to the station. I was able to check out leisurely at 11 a.m. and head to Osaka to see a musical. The food was good, especially the rice. Also, the miso soup with lots of fried tofu. It would be nice if there were some warmer dishes, but it's normal for a buffet. Bread lovers might be a little disappointed. Also, it would be better if the plates we ate from were cleared away during the meal, but since it was a weekday, even though it was Christmas, there weren't many customers, so maybe they couldn't spare the staff. The Room doesn't lack outlets, but there's none by the bedside, just one power strip on the floor. I used a disinfectant wipe before using it. I guess it's inevitable since it's a historic Hotel. The front desk staff casually mentioned that I was a repeat guest, which was nice and made me feel good. This month is my third stay in Kyoto (I am working properly!), and both stays were at Hotels with large baths, so I knew, but the bath was a bit disappointing. Maybe next time in March. I'll come all the way from Nagoya to see the plum blossoms. I will use it again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

    It was really close and convenient from the station, thank you for your hospitality.

    The environment is very convenient, and the staff were polite and pleasant, but I thought the single Room was too small and the price was too high. Also, for elderly people, I wondered if the bathtub might be too high for them to lift their legs. It was quite a close call for me as well. I hope this can be improved. The breakfast was delicious. Anyway, it's right in front of the station, so it's very convenient.

    Double room for sing...

    Double room for single use. Positive points: The location is good, convenient for travel by Shinkansen and bus. There are many underground malls and shops around, making it convenient for dining and shopping. The bed is a double and spacious. Even if you don't request room cleaning, they diligently exchange towels. Negative points: The double room is difficult to use. There are no shelves, and there's no place to put things. There is a shelf above the bed, but you have to climb onto the bed to reach it. The space is narrow, and the bed is large. I think it's a layout issue rather than a space issue. If two people use this room with their individual suitcases, it would be quite challenging. The round table doesn't allow you to spread out a computer and documents. The bed is on a raised floor with a mattress (like a mattress instead of a futon), with some gaps on both sides, and you walk through these gaps to reach the pillow. If you don't like placing luggage directly on the floor, you'll use these gaps, which means walking on the bed. I think elderly or disabled people should avoid this single room. The foreign staff at the front desk were inadequate (forgot to distribute the tower discount coupons for guests). The washbasin is small, and washing your face makes the surroundings wet. Other: The first thing you see, the cushion on the bed and the window lattice, reminded me of a love hotel, so I didn't like this interior. The bathtub is not for stretching your legs but for sitting in a crouched position, but it's not small (like an old home bath).

    I made a reservation...

    I made a reservation with the birthday decoration plan, and it was a surprise that made the other person very happy, which was great. However, part of the room floor was wet, and when the other person walked unknowingly, their socks got completely soaked, which was a bit unpleasant and ruined the experience, which was disappointing.

    Disappointing Bathtub

    I knew from the reviews that there was no view and the room was small, but even the bathtub was small, and I couldn't relax because I had to bend my knees (in a so-called "seated forward bend") to fit in. The next day, I asked the front desk if they could change my room, but they said that with the early bird discount I applied for, everyone gets the same room size, and changing to another room would require an additional fee. The location was convenient, being close to the station, and the breakfast was delicious.

    Room Cleaning and Amenities

    Reservation for a deluxe room with a red theme after renovation. It's close to the station, and the bed itself was comfortable. However, there was no water or items like pens commonly found in the room, so I couldn't fill out the courier slip. There was also a sticky stain on the red bed's headrest, possibly from a finger, which was unpleasant. I wiped the entire room with disinfectant wipes. Since everything came off with wiping, I would have preferred a room that was thoroughly cleaned. There was a stain on the sheets at the foot, and when I soaked in the bathtub, I could see mold on the sink right in front of me. The room itself was spacious and a corner room, so it might have been comfortable, but it was disappointing in many ways. It was one of the hotels I stayed at during my few days in Kyoto, and although it was more expensive than other hotels, it was disappointing in terms of cleanliness. Also, when I tried to have coffee in the room during breakfast, there were no cups, so I asked, and they said they had run out, and the last one was taken by the previous guest. Many foreign guests drank coffee at their seats and left, so it would have been appreciated if they explained and ensured that truly necessary guests could use them.
