  This Hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users.

  The rooms at APA Hotel are generally small, making it challenging for wheelchair users. When I called in advance to ask, "I can walk inside the room, but how do wheelchair users manage?" the staff responded, "Such customers choose other accommodations," which was quite surprising. This attitude towards wheelchair users who simply want to use a hotel like anyone else seems to reflect a lack of awareness and understanding of reasonable accommodation as a company. During my stay, the room was indeed small. While there were two power outlets near the bed as a thoughtful touch, only one outlet on the desk was available because an air purifier occupied it—showing insufficient consideration overall. The first-floor wheelchair-accessible restroom was very inconvenient due to its narrow space, fixed handrails, poorly positioned trash bin, lack of a bidet function on the toilet seat, and extremely thin soap—all contributing to significant discomfort. In addition, parking posed challenges as it wasn’t clear where space for unloading wheelchairs was located; there were no explanations about whether areas marked with traffic cones could be used. Breakfast was simple and lacked any special appeal. Through this experience at APA Hotel overall, I believe that reviewing their approach and attitude toward accommodating wheelchair users at a corporate level would make their accommodations more accessible and reassuring for many guests. While on-site staff provided courteous service throughout my stay, I hope for greater awareness improvement from the company itself.

However, we deeply apologize for not meeting your expectations regarding our service and facilities, causing significant inconvenience and discomfort during your stay. In particular, we regret the inappropriate remarks made during a phone inquiry before completing the reservation. We acknowledge our lack of awareness in providing reasonable accommodations and services to guests using wheelchairs who wish to "enjoy a normal hotel experience." We are committed to reforming our staff's mindset through thorough training on customer-oriented service and reasonable accommodations. Additionally, we have taken seriously your comments about room size, desk outlet usage, specifications of the first-floor multi-purpose restroom, parking space guidance, and other details during your stay. Due to structural constraints of our facility, immediate large-scale renovations may be challenging at this time. We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter. Nevertheless, based on your valuable feedback, we will prioritize improvements in areas that can be addressed immediately (e.g., enhancing parking guidance information, reviewing outlet availability in guest rooms, inspecting and adjusting facilities including multi-purpose restrooms). While we are grateful for the compliments regarding the courteousness of our staff on-site, as a company we deeply reflect on not having met expectations overall. Moving forward as one team across all departments within our organization—we aim to enhance both service quality and facility conditions so that no guest experiences inconvenience again.

  I chose it because it was affordable.

  In the hotel lobby, there was a large globe that had been mentioned in previous reviews. I arrived a bit early, but thanks to the kindness of the front desk staff, I was allowed to check in. Thank you very much. I stayed on the 4th floor, but unfortunately, there was a noticeable musty smell. I opened the window and ventilated until it got dark. The TV was large and had BS channels available, which was great. There is a convenience store in front of the hotel and a large supermarket as well as family restaurants about a 5-minute walk away, so I had no trouble with food or supplies during my stay. I did not use the public bath, so I cannot evaluate it; however, there were no issues with water pressure or temperature in the room's unit bath. The toilet seat tilted slightly when sitting down—this might bother those sensitive to balance. A bottle of water was provided in the room, which was very helpful. Breakfast had mild flavors but was delicious. Thank you for your hospitality. I look forward to staying again!

  The room was upgrade...

  The room was upgraded at check-in, and I appreciated the spacious room on the top floor. The large public bath on the first floor is not an Onsen, but it was spacious enough to stretch out comfortably. The room amenities were also sufficient.

  Bathing Hours

  Due to the shift system, the time was fixed at 21:30, which made me sleepy. That was the most disappointing part. The breakfast was very delicious.

[Men] 1st session → 15:00-19:50, 2nd session → 21:30-next day 8:20 [Women] 1st session → 20:00-21:20, 2nd session → next day 8:30-10:00 Due to Facility constraints, we are unable to provide an additional public bath, but our staff is committed to helping you relax and unwind from the day's fatigue as much as possible.   Thank you very much.

  Thank you very much. I had a pleasant stay. I didn't encounter any Chinese or Korean guests, so I was able to sleep quietly and peacefully. I just wish there was a scale in the bathroom. Also, it would be nice to have some Yamanashi specialties for breakfast.
