    The breakfast was among the best for a Business Hotel.

    Breakfast was the best among the Business Hotels I have stayed at. I ordered the Japanese set meal, and everything was delicious, especially the main salmon dish. All of the dining staff were cheerful and provided excellent service.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    The amenities, lobby coffee, and Room were all great, and I had a comfortable stay. At the large public bath, I sometimes had to wait in line for a washing station, which was inconvenient.

    The front desk, restaurant, and all staff were refreshing and pleasant, making our stay very comfortable. This Hotel offered great value for money. When I visit Fukui again, I will definitely stay here.

    My First Time in Fukui: Wonderful Memories

    I stayed here on my first trip to Fukui. It’s close to the station, so I arrived without getting lost. It was convenient to have dinner and buy souvenirs at Fukui Station. I also rented a car from the car shop next door to the Hotel and was able to visit the Dinosaur Museum and Ichijodani, which was great. The welcome coffee and amenities were more than sufficient, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options—I left feeling full. The bath water felt smooth and very pleasant, but the women’s bath area felt a bit small. Maybe because I went at a busy time, I had to wait for an open washing space. Still, for the price, the Room was spacious, clean, and very satisfying.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    Just as the Review said, it was a great Hotel. It’s a 1-minute walk from Fukui Station West Exit and close to the West Exit plaza with bus stops, Kurufu (the station shopping mall), and the dining area—an unbeatable location. This time we stayed in a connecting Room (two single Rooms connected by a lockable door). There are two doors between the Rooms (one on each side), and once closed, you can’t hear any noise from next door at all—my family, who said my snoring was loud, were very happy. When we weren’t sleeping, we could leave the doors open and comfortably plan our trip together. Amenities are provided in a pick-up system where you take only what you need from the lobby, which I thought was great because it avoids waste. The Hotel has a slightly old-fashioned Showa-era Business Hotel feel, but the Room was clean so we were more than satisfied. We also had no issues like voices echoing from the hallway or neighboring Rooms. One thing I especially want to praise is a flyer we received at check-in called “The Appeal of Fukui Manten Hotel Ekimae.” The suggested route “11) City Walk Course: Fukui Castle Shakudani Stone Walls to Yoko-kan Garden (Former Matsudaira Shungaku Villa)” is an excellent walk. The prefectural office now stands where the main keep of Fukui Castle once was, and they also had an impressive old map there; after looking out over the town while imagining what it used to be like, we were able to enjoy Yoko-kan’s beautiful Japanese garden and residence early in the morning before departure. Even if you take your time at Yoko-kan, you can be back within about an hour. The seafood izakaya listed on “Hotel Top Pick! Recommended Dining Guide” also had a great atmosphere and delicious food.

    The breakfast is absolutely delicious!

    Not only delicious, but also wonderfully attentive in both the selection and the way everything is served! My family wholeheartedly agreed: “If you’re staying in Fukui City, Manten Hotel is the top recommendation!” Thanks to you, I was able to fully enjoy my first solo trip to Fukui. Thank you very much.

    You should definitely choose this place without hesitation.

    I stayed for two nights. The best part was the staff—everyone (front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping) was wonderful. With that as a given, there were so many great points: - 1 minute from the station (the trick is to go through the station’s restaurant area) - Large public bath - Delicious breakfast, and the cheerful staff help you start the day feeling great - Coffee and delicious Fukui water available - Great bed mattress - Individually adjustable air conditioning - Chairs with casters - Choice of pillows The connecting Room is highly recommended. Tips for an even more comfortable stay: - The shampoo and other amenities in the public bath weren’t quite right for me. The in-Room amenities felt better, so I recommend washing in your Room before going—or bringing your own. - In the morning, the elevators get crowded and stop on every floor, so it helps to shift breakfast or checkout a little earlier or later. I will definitely come back to Fukui, and I would love to stay here again. It made me very happy when you said “Have a great day!” as I headed out.

    Conveniently located for getting anywhere.

    Its convenient location near the station makes it ideal for dining, shopping for souvenirs, and as a base for getting around. I also appreciated that the large public bath was quiet when I used it early, which made it very relaxing.

    Very convenient loca...

    Very convenient location near the station! The large public bath also has an open-air bath, and I enjoyed soaking in the tub while watching the snow. They offer a late-night ramen service; it was simple but very delicious. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Fukui.

    First-time Use

    I stayed at the accommodation because I attended a live event. It was close to the station, so I had no trouble finding it. At check-in, they kindly gave me a hand warmer since it was cold, which made me feel warm inside. The room was not too small, the bed was large, and everything was clean and well-maintained. From the room, I could see trains passing by, which might be delightful for train enthusiasts. Unfortunately, I didn’t use the large public bath or open-air bath this time, but I look forward to trying them during my next stay.

    The location is excellent, right in front of the station. The service is great, with amenities like refreshing towels at check-in and umbrella rentals. It would be nice to have something like sherbet or Yakult after a bath. The late-night ramen is delicious. Breakfast is good as well, but when choosing the Western-style option, it was unclear whether rice and miso soup were also available for self-service.

    Close to the station is the best.

    This was our second trip to Fukui during the same period as last year. As we’ve gotten older, long walks have become more challenging. Even so, we enjoy traveling and prefer accommodations close to the station. We didn’t find any particular issues with the Room or Facility. The breakfast was very delicious. The miso soup could use a bit more creativity, in my opinion. If we visit Fukui again, we would like to stay here once more.

    Close to the station

    Conveniently located near Fukui Station, you can reach the hotel almost without getting wet even on rainy days by passing through the shopping center. While there is an Onsen public bath, the room's unit bathroom is small, and the sink area is narrow, making it difficult to find space for toiletries. There are coffee machines and natural water available in the lobby, but no bottled water service in the room. A delicious ramen service is offered from 9:30 PM, and the kitchen staff were very friendly.

    Great value for money, simple yet sufficient.

    I stayed alone and was very satisfied with the bath and breakfast. The location is convenient, being close to the station. However, if you arrive late, the parking lot may be full.

    A Business Hotel with All the Essentials

    I chose this Hotel as my usual one was fully booked, possibly due to the summer holidays. The price was reasonable, and I was satisfied with the large public bath, parking lot, and breakfast. It was truly a "just right" stay.

    First time at Manten Hotel, it's perfect!

    I stayed here after attending a live event. The location is very close to the station, so I felt safe heading to the Hotel even late at night. The Room was quiet, and I had a good night's sleep. For breakfast, I enjoyed a Japanese meal with plenty of fresh fish and vegetables, which was delicious.

    Hokuriku Family Trip

    Stayed for visiting the Dinosaur Museum. Convenient location close to the station, making travel easy. Had dinner at Taihei and was impressed by the tilefish and rock oysters.

    Generally satisfied.

    We stayed in two single Rooms with a friend. The location was excellent and convenient for getting anywhere, and the Rooms were compact yet functional. Breakfast was nothing special, but the staff were cheerful and pleasant. My friend used the large public bath and mentioned that it was crowded at night, so they used it in the morning instead. They were delighted with how spacious it was. The late-night ramen had a nostalgic taste and was delicious. If I visit Fukui again, I would love to stay here once more.
