    Having a bus stop right in front of the property was surprisingly convenient.

    It’s a bit of a walk from Subway Nijo Station to the Hotel. However, compared with staying near Kyoto Station and having to navigate its large platforms, this option may actually be quicker from “getting off the train to reaching the Hotel.” Also, buses to Shijo and Kyoto Station depart from the bus stop right in front of the Hotel, which was surprisingly convenient. The route to the Hotel has wide sidewalks, so even with a suitcase it’s easy and stress-free. And there’s a large supermarket on the way from the station to the Hotel! I think it’s also well suited for longer stays. Depending on your sightseeing plans, I’d choose this Hotel rather than staying around Kyoto Station or Shijo-Karasuma.

    I chose this propert...

    I chose this property because it has a large public bath, but due to my own circumstances I didn’t use it and used the in-Room shower instead. The overhead shower felt like raindrops falling, which may have been due to how I used it, but that was the only disappointing point. The front desk service was great, the Room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Since I was traveling alone, the glass-walled toilet didn’t bother me, but if I had been with family or in a group, I think we would have wanted some kind of privacy screen. For breakfast, I went around 7:30 as advised that it would be busy at that time, and it really was full. After 8:00 it became quieter, so I could enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace. The handmade tofu was delicious, and both the obanzai dishes and dashi chazuke were wonderfully seasoned—reminding me how nice a Japanese breakfast is. I’m glad I chose the breakfast plan. Thank you very much for your hospitality. If I have another opportunity, I’d love to stay again.

    Room amenities could be improved.

    The Hotel itself is relatively new and clean, but since it was the busiest season in Kyoto due to the autumn leaves, the price of a standard Business Hotel was higher than usual, resulting in lower satisfaction. There was no kettle provided in the Room, and guests had to fetch one from the elevator lobby on each floor. However, on my floor, they were all already taken and unavailable.

    It was a bit disappo...

    It was a bit disappointing not to enjoy the outside view, but considering the accommodation cost, I can't complain too much. At the breakfast buffet, it was slightly disappointing to be seated between two occupied tables despite other available seats. The buffet had a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious.

    Surprisingly comfortable

    There are several Hotels in this area, but this one might be the most comfortable. The Room is not spacious and only has a shower without a bathtub, but you can use the large public bath on the 7th floor, which is very convenient. It's sufficient if you're just looking for a place to sleep. The bathroom felt clean and modern. Amenities not provided in the Room were available on the first floor. The breakfast buffet was very delicious, so I will definitely stay here again.

    The staff at the breakfast venue...

    The staff at the breakfast venue (a fair-skinned woman around 50 years old) was standing near the pot, watching the guests who were eating. I felt like I was being watched without any friendliness, and couldn't relax while eating. That female staff member only did minimal work, such as pointing out the location of cutlery to guests who didn't know where the spoons were by saying "over there." The young male staff and other female staff worked briskly. I would like to stay again, but not on days when that fair-skinned older woman is present. The room facilities were satisfactory.

    Overall, very good.

    The room is simple but clean, the shower room is good, and the breakfast is satisfying in terms of variety and content, making it a hotel with a high overall satisfaction. It would have been even better if there was a place or stand to open the suitcase instead of on the floor.

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night after visiting the light-up event at Nijo Castle. I had seen in the reviews that the toilet is really made of glass! I was surprised. However, there is a curtain placed in front of the elevator for privacy, so it didn't bother me much when I used it. Both the room and the large public bath were kept clean, allowing me to have a comfortable time. I received a breakfast buffet as a special offer, and although there were group guests, the staff replenished the food and drinks properly before they ran out, and the ingredients were not scattered around. I was able to enjoy the abundant menu pleasantly.
