    An excellent number of coin-operated laundry machines.

    This Hotel is just a short walk from Gojo Station, and even though it was pouring rain that day, I arrived quickly with a light jog. The drink corner on the first floor and the amenities were well stocked. I often use coin laundry during this season, and this Hotel has many machines, so I could use them smoothly without waiting in line—most Hotels seem to have only two or three. It was also very comfortable to be able to take a bath in the large public bath next door while doing laundry.

    It was clean and relaxing.

    The bath was not an Onsen, and there were no windows to let in outside air, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Plenty of towels were always available, so the changing Room floor stayed dry and it was comfortable. The Room did not offer a view from the window, but it was comfortable. Breakfast was thoughtfully arranged for Western guests as well, with a good balance of Japanese and Western options. (The bread was delicious too.) Personally, I was happy to find frozen mango and cheese available.

    Great value for money

    A convenient Accommodation located just a short walk from Karasuma Gojo. There is also a large public bath, and the Room is quiet and comfortable. The only drawback is the breakfast. There is a variety of Japanese and Western options, but the overall quality is somewhat lacking. No Meals Included may be the best choice.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    With so many international travelers lately, I wondered if I’d be able to enjoy a relaxing holiday in Kyoto. I booked this Hotel at a reasonable price and was happy with the rate, though I had some concerns about the service. As soon as I arrived, the front desk staff kindly explained where the parking lot was. When I headed there, an attendant guided me very thoughtfully and was extremely kind—a very pleasant person. There were many overseas guests in the Hotel as well, but there was nothing to worry about, and everything went smoothly when getting drinks and using the facilities. However, the women’s changing room at the public bath was quite crowded and difficult to use. In hindsight, I should have checked peak hours before going. Aside from that one point, overall it’s 5 stars. Thank you for your courteous service.

    We stayed for a 2-night, 3-day trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Late on the first night, I started feeling unwell, and the next morning you introduced us to the nearest hospital to the Hotel. Thanks to that, I recovered quickly—thank you very much.     Great value for money.

    The twin beds were spacious, and I was able to relax comfortably. The pillows offered four height and firmness options, but I couldn’t adjust them to my preferred low height, so I used a bath towel instead. Since I like very low pillows, they may be convenient for most guests. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and I really enjoyed it in the morning. The large public bath was great, with plenty of washing stations and a spacious tub. The ReFa hair dryer and POLA amenities also showed attention to detail. I would like to stay again.

    I stayed here on a business trip. They upgraded me from a single to a twin. The Room had some minor scratches in places, but it was very clean and well maintained. The large public bath was spacious and comfortable, and the changing area was easy to use. The only thing that concerned me was that when I entered or left the Hotel during the day, evening, and morning, the front desk staff did not greet or speak to me at all. I was surprised. There were no smiles, and I didn’t feel welcomed. However, they were very courteous at check-in, so that was the only disappointing part.

    Simply wonderful.

    The location is very convenient. The nearest exit from Gojo Subway Station is not barrier-free, though. The front desk staff were kind and attentive to details. Breakfast was excellent. It might have been even better if some items included a bit more information about the ingredients. Also, there is a wide variety of options including drinks, so it could help to make the overall selection easier to understand. Improving the flow of movement around the breakfast area might also be worth considering. I chose a larger Room, but since it was a cold day, the corridor side felt a bit chilly, which was slightly disappointing. Overall, it was an excellent Hotel with nothing to complain about for everyday stays. (I couldn’t use the public bath due to my condition.)

    I had a comfortable and relaxing stay.

    Close to the station and affordable, the breakfast buffet and large public bath were excellent. The free drinks in the lounge were also a delightful service. The Room was comfortable as you could take off your shoes and relax.

    First, the accessibility was excellent. Next, the explanation provided by the front desk staff was outstanding. The Room was very user-friendly, and I was surprised to find a rolling chair! The hallway leading to the Room was also wide, bright, and pleasant. Additionally, the welcome drink area had many tables and chairs prepared, and I noticed several guests working there. I would love to stay at this Hotel again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Affordable and Comfortable Stay

    I stayed during the New Year. At check-in, I received hand warmers and Yatsuhashi sweets, and the complimentary amenity bar and drink service were well-stocked, leaving an impression of excellent service. The breakfast buffet featured a variety of Kyoto-inspired dishes, including bread from Shinshindo Bakery and coffee from Ogawa Coffee, which was also delightful.

    A 1-night, 2-day stay in Kyoto during the autumn leaves season offers excellent value with a large public bath, breakfast, and prime location!

    I stayed for one night and two days to enjoy the autumn leaves in Kyoto. After work, I took the Shinkansen and arrived at Kyoto Station around 9 PM. From there, it was just one subway stop to Gojo Station, and as soon as I exited the subway and climbed the stairs, I could see the hotel right away. The access was very convenient even at night. The front desk was decorated with Christmas ornaments, adding a seasonal touch that was charming. Although I traveled alone, I wanted a bit more space, so I reserved a Comfort Twin room. The serene Japanese-style lighting created a cozy atmosphere, and the spacious room allowed me to relax comfortably—it was an excellent choice. There were plenty of hangers available along with deodorizing spray, which made organizing my winter clothes very convenient. I used the public bath both on the night of my arrival and early in the morning at 6 AM when it was completely private. It felt great to stretch out and warm up thoroughly. The amenities like makeup remover were well-stocked, which added to my satisfaction. Being able to use Refa showerheads and hairdryers also made me happy. Near the entrance of the public bath area were vending machines offering drinks and ice cream. This allowed me to enjoy some ice cream leisurely in my room after bathing without needing to leave the hotel—a small but delightful luxury. Breakfast featured an impressive selection of Kyoto specialties such as Nanzenji tofu, yuba (tofu skin), bread from Shinshindo bakery, coffee from Ogawa Coffee Shop, along with traditional obanzai dishes unique to Kyoto—all deliciously satisfying! Despite being spacious enough for many guests dining together in one venue, there were no long lines or waiting times for food—it all went smoothly! Additionally noteworthy were handmade monaka (wafer desserts) alongside other sweets—an extra treat that brought joy! At reception near breakfast time stood complimentary instant DOUTOR coffee packets; sipping them back inside while doing makeup post-meal felt wonderfully relaxing too! Even though autumn foliage remained vibrant during this period—the combination between easy accessibility clean accommodations luxurious baths unforgettable breakfasts left lasting impressions making me wonder how such value came affordably priced overall! After checking out walking distance led straight into Gion district sightseeing opportunities where remaining colorful leaves could fully immerse experiences further proving staying here worthwhile indeed creating cherished memories altogether!     Great value for the ...

    The facility and location are excellent.

    The Facility and location were excellent, providing a high level of satisfaction. However, I was dissatisfied with the front desk service. Most staff were foreigners, lacked smiles, seemed uninterested, and their responses felt careless and impersonal. With more hospitable and heartfelt service, this could become an outstanding Hotel. That aspect was disappointing.

    It was a very good Hotel.

    I stayed in a twin room, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, which was excellent. The large public bath was also kept clean. Although there were many foreign guests, the usage instructions were written in a friendly manner, so there were no issues with manners, and I could enjoy using it multiple times comfortably. Face towels are provided at the entrance of the bath area. It took about 15 minutes on foot from the hotel to Kawaramachi, making it enjoyable to explore the city on foot. The nearest station to the hotel is Gojo Station Exit 3; however, as I didn’t want to carry my suitcase up and down stairs, I used Exit 6 with an elevator for my trips to and from the hotel. Using Exit 6 reduces walking time to about 3 minutes to reach the hotel. The lounge offers a variety of free drinks. Although I didn’t have breakfast at the accommodation, when passing by in front of it, one of their staff greeted me with a warm smile and bowing gesture that made me happy. Overall, this is an excellent accommodation that made my trip to Kyoto even more wonderful!

    Please clean frequently.

    Thank you for always using our accommodation. Unfortunately, this time I have some disappointing feedback. There was dust on the carpet, and even nail clippings from a previous guest were clearly left on it. Additionally, there were many fingerprints on the window. I hope more attention will be paid to cleaning in the future. I look forward to staying again, so thank you in advance!

    The Gojo area is convenient for sightseeing and more.

    I usually stay near Shijo when entering Kyoto via Hankyu Railway, but this time I arrived at Kyoto Station and chose accommodation near Gojo for the first time. It was very close to Gojo Station, almost directly connected. Thanks to the exit guide with the hotel name even underground, there was no confusion. The front desk explanation was very thorough. Although they missed explaining how to use the elevator, I already knew to scan my card and press the floor button, so it wasn’t an issue. The large public bath allowed for a relaxing soak, and above all, I was amazed by the breakfast. The variety of dishes and Kyoto-style menu were impressive—something you’d need a multiple night stay to fully enjoy. Check-out was smooth as well. The hotel staff's professionalism is commendable. I think this will be my go-to hotel for accommodations in Kyoto from now on.

    West Japan Travel

    Stayed during a trip to Western Japan with friends. The hotel had a rare multi-story parking lot in Kyoto, which was very helpful. The hotel offered welcome drinks and amenities, which were very satisfying. Although I reserved a single room, I was given a spacious twin room, which was fantastic. The room had a traditional Japanese-style design that felt relaxing and very Kyoto-like. Everything was excellent overall; however, the breakfast venue was crowded with long lines. I waited for about 20 minutes in line. I understood why they advised at check-in to come early for breakfast due to the crowding. The breakfast itself was delicious and enjoyable.

    Space above the bed

    There was a significant amount of dust accumulated in the space with lights and outlets above the bed. Since it is also a space where massage guides and other items are placed, it seems it has not been cleaned for a long time. I noticed some people using the towels in the public bath area in an unhygienic manner. I could not imagine using those towels on my own body. While this is not the Hotel's responsibility, it might be common in more budget-friendly hotels. I trust that used towels are collected and properly disinfected, sterilized, and washed afterward. The breakfast was quite good. With red bean paste and rice flour dumplings available, adding soft-serve ice cream would make it perfect!

    We used it as a transit Hotel during our trip.

    We stayed as a group of two adults, one high school student, and one elementary school student. It was a comfortable Hotel to stay in! We used it as a stopover for our travel destination, mainly for bathing and sleeping. Even though we checked in 30 minutes late at 11:30 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us, which was very helpful. The parking lot is mechanical and couldn't fit our Serena car, but nearby coin parking was inexpensive, so it wasn't an issue at all. Three beds were prepared for us; while this made the Room smaller, it was perfect since we only needed it for sleeping—much appreciated! The bath had a large public bath and sauna that helped relieve the fatigue from driving. If I could ask for more, I would have liked them to be open until around 2 AM. When I asked the male staff at the front desk if we could check out early, he said it would cost 1,000 yen per hour. I thought that was unusual but decided to pay since our Plan required an early checkout anyway. However, when I went to check out (this time with female staff), there were no additional charges after all—I assume there might have been some miscommunication with the first staff member. Overall though, we were satisfied! Thank you very much! We’ll definitely consider staying again if we get another chance!

    The breakfast buffet was not as impressive as expected. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't particularly delicious. Although it's just one subway stop from Kyoto Station and close to the exit, and while the public bath and Room size were decent, for some reason, the overall impression ended up being quite underwhelming. Disappointing.

    Accommodation for Kyoto sightseeing

    I stayed at this hotel to explore the area near Higashi Honganji. The staff were kind and helpful, which was great. The amenities were also plentiful. Although I didn't use it, my father and mother were very satisfied with the large public bath. It was a pleasant experience.

    It's disappointing that the atmosphere of the large public bath has deteriorated.

    I often use this Hotel because I like the large public bath. This time I stayed for two nights, and every time I saw foreigners with large tattoos in the public bath. There is a large sign at the entrance of the public bath prohibiting entry with tattoos, but they ignore it and enter. These people disregard the rules, and their bathing manners are poor, making general users feel uncomfortable. The Hotel also seems to have a weak attitude towards rule violators. Since this is Japan, wouldn't it be appropriate to respond firmly to inbound foreigners who violate manners? It is very disappointing that the atmosphere of the public bath worsens with each visit.

    Satisfied again this time

    This time, I used the service for a Multiple Night Stay. Although it was for sightseeing purposes, it was a cold day with snow, so I spent more time in the Room than usual, but I was able to stay comfortably. There are restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores within walking distance, which is helpful on cold or hot days. One thing that caught my attention was that the box for used towels in the large public bath was overflowing. I hope you can increase the inspection time a little more.
