    Nearby noise

    This was my first stay. I appreciated the Room upgrade, but because my third-floor Room faced Kabukicho Tower, I couldn’t relax—the sound from idol events during the day and the video screen advertisements at night continued constantly. A higher floor might have been better, but since I don’t know what floor I would be assigned next time, I won’t be returning. It might help to offer a Plan that guarantees a high-floor Room.

    Well, I think it’s fine.

    Although it’s tucked away in the back of Kabukicho, it’s easy to find, and while the Room is small, they haven’t cut corners in any odd ways. I’ll be staying again at the end of May. It feels like I’ve decided this is my go-to place to stay in Tokyo. Highly recommended.

    Convenient in every way, enjoy the contrast between the exterior and interior of Hotel Friday.

    This is my second stay. The rationality and service spirit of APA Hotel are well combined. The room is small, but the bed and TV are large, and the bathroom is quite good. Most of the guests were foreigners. They must understand its value as well. Overall, I think I will use it again.

    It was spacious and clean.

    It was close to Seibu-Shinjuku Station, and since access was available 24 hours a day, I was able to return safely after watching a late-night movie. The double bed was spacious, and the Room did not feel small at all—it was clean and comfortable. I didn’t use the bath, so I’m not sure about it.

    Musty Room

    The room had a musty smell and was unpleasant. There was loud noise from a live event outside. It was unclear whether the voices were from outside or the neighboring room, but the murmuring voices were disturbing.

    The room smelled of smoke despite booking a non-smoking room.

    I reserved a non-smoking room, but the moment I entered, there was a strong smell of tobacco. Since it was for day use, I managed to endure it, but if it were for an overnight stay, it would have been absolutely unacceptable.

    It is new and clean.

    It is new and generally clean. The surrounding area is relatively good for Kabukicho. This was my second stay, but unfortunately, there was a urine smell in the toilet (bath) this time. The room is a bit small, but sufficient for just accommodation. Complimentary drinking water and disposable slippers are provided. Since there are many foreign tourists, the front desk might get crowded.

    Cleaning is inadequate.

    Despite being in a very convenient location and reasonably priced, my stay felt like a case of "you get what you pay for." The body odor of the previous guest lingered in the Room, which should have been noticed during cleaning but was left as is. I used a lot of the provided deodorizing spray, but it remained until morning. Additionally, the toilet seat was not cleaned properly, so I cleaned it myself. It was a situation that did not make me want to stay again.
