Thank you very much.
We had a comfortable stay. There were fewer tourists than expected, so it was quiet and relaxing. The parking area was spacious and easy to use. Thank you very much.

Conveniently located...
Conveniently located next to Maruyama Park and in front of Chion-in Temple—ideal for sightseeing in Higashiyama and Gion. There is no convenience store nearby, and it is a bit of a walk from the bus stop and subway station. This year marks their 15th anniversary. The building and Facility feel new and modern. The Room was spacious enough, though it was disappointing that the bathroom and toilet were combined in the Room I used. Having a large public bath was great—I could stretch out and relax. However, it was unpleasant that some foreign guests walked around the changing area in slippers. I was afraid to say anything, so I left it, but they even entered the bathing area wearing slippers. It was extremely uncomfortable. They likely did not know how to use a Japanese public bath properly and probably had no bad intentions, but it still felt very unpleasant. I would like them to provide notices such as pamphlets to inform foreign guests about proper public bath etiquette. Guests can join the morning service from 5:50 AM. There was also an easy-to-understand talk about Jodo Buddhism, which made for a valuable learning experience. The front desk staff were also helpful. They offer same-day paid delivery service to JR Kyoto Station, which allowed me to sightsee hands-free until the last minute—very convenient. I would like to stay at this Accommodation again.

It’s a nice Hotel.
They kindly accommodated my Room request and made the change without any issues. The large public bath was also great. Breakfast was a buffet, but I would have liked items such as yogurt. I would stay again.

A Comfortable Temple Lodging
The property was clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious. The large public bath is also available in the morning, which was perfect for warming up after the early morning service (from just after 6:00 a.m.).

As temple lodging
I visited Kyoto for the first time in years to see how lively inbound tourism has become. I stayed here on my first night to attend a morning Buddhist service. Another highlight was breakfast: sashimi-style konnyaku and yuba, plus some buffet items like pickles and obanzai, all gently seasoned and delicious. I was only a little disappointed that the yudofu I’d been looking forward to wasn’t piping hot. Still, the entire Facility—including the large public bath—was clean, and above all it was very quiet, making it a wonderful Accommodation. Thank you for your hospitality.

Accommodation
Thank you for taking care of us during my daughter’s entrance exams. We stayed in a Western-style room, borrowed a desk lamp, and she studied at the table and chairs by the window. As this is temple lodging, entry and exit are allowed until 11:00 p.m., but that was not an issue for the exams. We did not add dinner to our Plan due to time constraints, but we ordered a shojin-ryori set meal at the on-site restaurant, which was not too heavy and was very good. There is also a shared bath, which helped us relax. Guests can attend the morning Buddhist service, but unfortunately we could not join this time because of the exams. Next time, we would like to stay for sightseeing and participate. Thank you very much.

Ideally located for sightseeing around Higashiyama.
During the cold season, I decided to visit the temples around Higashiyama for the first shrine visit of the year and made a Reservation. Chion-in Temple, home to the National Treasure Sanmon Gate, is right in front of this Accommodation. Step out through the South Gate just south of the Accommodation and you’re at Maruyama Park; head east and you’ll reach Yasaka Shrine. Walk straight through Maruyama Park to Kodaiji Temple, then continue along Nene-no-Michi all the way to Kiyomizu-dera on foot. If you head north from the Accommodation, you can walk to Shoren-in Temple, and further on to Heian Shrine. For breakfast, I went to “Yamamoto Kissaten” near Chion-in’s Furumon Gate. The Shirakawa River flows nearby, creating a wonderfully atmospheric setting. After breakfast, I stopped by “Gion Boloniya” to buy souvenirs. Their Danish bread loaf is excellent. The large public bath was a welcome comfort for warming up after sightseeing in the cold. From my Room on the 3rd floor, I could see Chion-in’s approach and, in the distance, Heian Shrine’s red torii gate. I visit Kyoto several times a year and stay at various Hotels, but after staying here for the first time, I felt this location rivals any Hotel. The café on the 1st floor also offers morning sets and lunch—perfect for taking a break—and the shop carried sweets from “Tawaraya Yoshitomi,” featured in the drama “Kyoto People’s Secret Enjoyments.” It was a wonderful Accommodation where you can stay as if you live there.

I’d like to stay here again.
Quiet and clean, and the front desk staff were very pleasant—I was very satisfied. I was also able to attend the morning service, which left me feeling refreshed. Thank you very much.

The long-awaited Wajun Kaikan
I often visit Chion-in Temple, and my 85-year-old mother always said she wanted to stay nearby, so we were delighted to stay this time. At night, I went shopping at a convenience store, and the lights along the path from the hall to the gate were very magical and beautiful. The Room was a Japanese-Western style room where we could relax comfortably, and the large public bath with its spacious tub was excellent. I would love to stay here again.

A Refreshing Day
This was my first stay at this accommodation. Both the facility and the room were very clean, making my stay comfortable. The view from the room was great, and it was quiet at night, allowing me to rest well. I also participated in the morning service at Chion-in Temple and had a refreshing day. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kyoto. Thank you very much!

Excellent.
We stayed here last year and had such a great experience that we decided to visit again this year. The location is unbeatable, allowing us to explore Nanzenji Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Heian Shrine, and Kiyomizu Temple all on foot. We also walked to the riverside dining area in Kiyamachi. Despite its prime location, the accommodation offers free parking, which is incredibly convenient for us as we enjoy cycling with our folding mini bikes during trips. The large public bath was a relaxing treat, and the breakfast was high-quality and thoughtfully prepared—absolutely delicious. We would love to make this our regular accommodation for Kyoto trips. Thank you very much!

Satisfied.
We used the Japanese-Western style room on a daily basis. It was our second time, and it was a very comfortable space. One request: we would appreciate it if you could consider this. When parking a motorcycle, we currently receive a permit card to display, but would it be possible to handle this by declaring the vehicle number instead? It is slightly inconvenient to park the motorcycle, check in, attach the permit card to the vehicle, and then repeat this process during check-out. We would be grateful if you could consider some measures for improvement. Thank you very much.

Used for day use.
I used the facility for day use on Sunday. The building was quiet, the Room was spacious, and it was very comfortable. The large public bath had big windows, making it bright and refreshing. I had lunch at the café on the first floor. It would have been even better if I could take it to the Room to eat. The parking lot was a bit hard to find, and it was disappointing that there was no refrigerator in the Room.

Unable to Visit Chion-in Temple
I used the facility for dining purposes. The deciding factor was its proximity to a famous eel restaurant in Gion. Since I had work in the morning, it took just 2 hours from Kobe at the fastest. I parked my car, enjoyed some eel, and refreshed myself with a bath before heading back. Unfortunately, I couldn't visit Chion-in Temple as it closed at 4 PM because I was having tea after the meal. It was nice to stroll around Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple before checking in, leaving my luggage in the Room, changing into a yukata, and enjoying a bath. I didn't use the bedding though! Haha

You can have a wonderful experience.
I stayed with my elderly mother during the New Year. We had a wonderful experience. We were able to immerse ourselves in Japanese culture.
