    The Ultimate Labor-Saving Hotel

    I stayed for two nights, and perhaps because the Hotel was under construction, there was no one at the front desk even though I went in and out several times during my stay. (The only time I interacted with Hotel staff was at check-out.) As for breakfast, it’s the type that partners with a café, which has been becoming more common at Hotels in Tokyo recently. The breakfast at Saint Marc was satisfying in both quality and quantity compared with similar partnerships I’ve experienced with Doutor or Starbucks. (Compared to the increasingly common “buffet-style” breakfasts that are buffet in name only and quite disappointing, it’s night and day.) Overall, there were very few opportunities to feel the Hotel’s identity—there was little interaction with staff, and meals relied on partner cafés—but if the alternative is higher room rates due to labor costs, this kind of Hotel may be a welcome option for Japanese travelers on a limited budget.

    It was cleaner than I expected.

    Thank you for taking care of us during our stay. We were happy to receive an upgrade. The Hotel was cleaner than we expected, and the Room was well maintained, so we could sleep comfortably with peace of mind. The staff also assisted us with a smile, which left a great impression. We would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    For a live concert at Budokan

    I stayed here for a concert at Budokan. Although the property was under construction, the staff were very kind and helpful. It was disappointing to find the bathroom drain clogged with hair from a previous guest, but otherwise it was a very comfortable stay. Since this Hotel is located in Jimbocho, it was also great to be able to fully enjoy the area! I would like to stay again.

    Self check-in and check-out via an automated machine. Amenities are available for you to choose and take up to your Room. Good value, with a convenient distance from the station, great nearby amenities, and a clean Room—more than sufficient overall. As of May 2026, there is a Saint Marc Café on the first floor. There is also a convenience store nearby.

    A touch of retro charm

    I booked the accommodation thinking it must be new and clean based on the photos. However, while the hotel's exterior and front desk didn't feel outdated like Showa era, they gave off an early Heisei vibe—calm and nostalgic. The surrounding area of Suzuran Street also has a relaxing atmosphere. It's surprising that it's within walking distance to Tokyo Dome. The room felt clean and well-maintained. However, the layout inside was different from typical hotels, making it less user-friendly in my opinion. Since I stayed on the second floor, I heard loud gurgling noises from the bathroom pipes several times during the night. Although I felt that the accommodation cost didn’t quite match with what was offered in terms of room quality, as long as it's clean inside, I'm okay with it overall. Note: The nearest subway station is Jimbocho Station, which only has stairs to exit to ground level. If you have heavy luggage or find carrying items difficult, consider packing light when visiting this hotel.

    As soon as I got home, I realized I had forgotten something and contacted the Hotel. The Hotel kept it for me and sent it to me. Their response was very kind and courteous, and I am truly grateful. Thank you very much. The Room was clean and convenient to use, and I would love to stay again.

    Accommodation for Budokan concert

    Very quiet and the Room was clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was easy to use, and the dresser area was very convenient. The bed was soft and very comfortable, providing a great night's sleep without any usual sleep deprivation experienced at other Hotels. I would love to stay here again!

    It was quiet.

    I stayed for three nights, and it was so quiet that I thought there might not be anyone else staying around! Occasionally, I could hear voices in the hallway, but I was able to spend my time very comfortably. The breakfast might be a bit lacking for those working on-site. This time, I used it privately, so just having bread was enough. The bath was a typical unit bath, but it wasn't perfectly square, so I could stretch my legs a little. The location was good, with various shops around, so there was nothing to worry about (there's a Daiso right in front and a pharmacy nearby). I walked to the Budokan (Budokan) and got a blister, so I went to the pharmacy. I needed a strap and shopped at Daiso as well. The elevator was a bit confusing at first, but I didn't talk to the hotel staff, so I don't know about the service. Basically, everything was self-service, from check-in to check-out, which suited me. The lobby felt cramped with all the guests' trunks. Overall, I was able to spend my time very comfortably.
