    The Hotel image is...

    My first stay was on the weekend after the Obon holidays. The entrance had a lovely aroma and raised my expectations. The staff were very polite, and even in the midsummer heat the Room was nicely chilled, so overall it wasn’t bad—but there were two disappointing points. First, there was red mold on the shower curtain. That’s really unacceptable… I’d appreciate it if it could be replaced. Second, breakfast. There was none of the bakery bread I was looking forward to—actually, there was hardly anything at all for breakfast, leaving me wondering what I was supposed to eat. It seems like there wasn’t enough food for the number of guests; it wasn’t even near closing time, but breakfast was a letdown. If I stay here again, I think No Meals Included would be fine. Or maybe weekdays are less crowded?

    Great happy hour deals

    This was my first stay here. I arrived earlier than the check-in time and asked to leave my luggage, but since housekeeping had already finished, they kindly accommodated me and let me into my Room early. The Room was spotless and very comfortable. I was impressed that the in-room safe was designed to blend in with the interior so it wouldn’t disrupt the Room’s atmosphere. Also, while there were no drinks provided in the Room, there was a complimentary drink service in the lounge. From 17:00 to 20:00, happy hour included sparkling wine and other alcoholic beverages as well as light snacks, which felt like a great value. Whenever I went out or returned to the Hotel, staff always greeted me with “Have a nice day” and “Welcome back,” which made my stay very pleasant. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

    First stay

    Traveling in the extreme heat sounded tough, so I looked for a Hotel near the station and decided to stay here. It’s very conveniently located—extremely close to Sannomiya Station, about a 2–3 minute walk. I stopped by before check-in just to leave my luggage, but they told me my Room was already ready and let me in. It was a really hot day, so that truly helped. The Room was also clean, with an interior like a city Hotel. Considering the location and quality, I think it’s quite reasonably priced. There are no drinks provided in the Room, but you can enjoy a variety of beverages in the lounge. From 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, they also offer alcohol and snacks. I couldn’t use it this time due to timing, but many guests were using it. The only disappointing point was breakfast. The menu is quite limited with little to choose from. With this lineup, it felt overpriced, so next time No Meals Included would be fine for me.

    The location was better than expected.

    It was a hot day, but the hotel was close to JR Sannomiya Station, which was very helpful. There is also a mart right next door, making it convenient. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was also great that soft drinks were available free of charge until late at night in the breakfast area next to the front desk. A few things I noticed: - The shower curtain wasn’t wide enough - Housekeeping may have been a bit lacking - The breakfast selection was limited, and some items weren’t replenished when they ran low In hindsight, I might not have needed to add breakfast. That said, thanks to the staff’s service and the great location, my overall satisfaction was high.

    Baseball Game Viewing

    We stayed in a twin Room to watch a baseball game. We had a comfortable stay, but from a woman’s perspective, it would be nice to have a mirror that can be used while sitting for drying hair and applying makeup. I also appreciated that the nightwear was pajamas rather than a yukata or gown, and it was great that hair irons were available to borrow. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    Both the lounge and breakfast were great.

    I love wine, so I stayed here to check out the lounge. There were two kinds of red wine, plus white and sparkling—everything was delicious. There were also various other alcoholic drinks. Snacks included financiers, chocolate, tortilla chips with salsa, and about three more options, which was a nice selection. There was plenty of seating, so I had a light drink before going out for dinner and then came back for another round. Next time I’d like to bring my kids. The Room, entrance hall, and lobby all had a stylish feel. The bath had plenty of hot water. The shower curtain smelled a bit musty, so I’m giving it 3 stars. The Room door and construction felt solid, so I couldn’t hear voices or noise from other rooms at all. Breakfast also felt stylish: salad; salami; sausages; eggs; curry with parsley rice; clam chowder; pancakes; and more. The bread I was looking forward to was in a separate area of the counter—high quality and excellent. Thank you for offering smaller portions so we could try different kinds (sliced bread, bagels, butter rolls, croissants, etc.). Le Pain only had tomato bread that day, but it was delicious too.

    A Relaxing Lounge

    This Hotel was unlike any I’ve experienced before, with the entrance on the first floor and the reception on the fifth. It’s conveniently located near the bus terminal and station, and the courtyard is stylish, quiet, and relaxing. Drinks were available at any time, which helped me recover from a tiring day at Universal Studios Japan, and I was able to attend an evening wedding party. The view from the Room was average, but I really liked the lounge with its airy courtyard. If I have a chance to visit Kobe again, I’d like to stay here again.

    I enjoyed the lounge.

    Thank you for providing an ideal, clean Room in a quiet setting—it was exactly what I was looking for. I needed to go to Suma the next day, so the convenient location near the station was very helpful. There was a happy hour in the lounge, and I really enjoyed it. If I have business in Sannomiya again, I would definitely stay here. Thank you very much.

    The Room was very nice.

    It was a very nice Room! It was a double Room, and it had a comfortable sofa where two people could relax, which made it very pleasant. I would have liked the Room to be a bit larger, but it wasn’t small, so it was still comfortable. However, I didn’t feel the breakfast stood out, so I recommend bringing your own or going to one of the nearby places that are open early in the morning.

    We arrived around 11:00, and since the Room was ready, we were able to leave our luggage in the Room. We also enjoyed happy hour and were very satisfied. The Room isn’t large, but we didn’t feel any inconvenience. We’d like to stay again if we have the chance.

    Happy hour is a great perk.

    It was a No Meals Included Plan, but since it’s located in a lively downtown area, we had no trouble finding places to eat. There were also a convenience store, supermarket, and 100-yen shop nearby, making it a very convenient location. The Room was compact yet well organized, with everything we needed and easy to use. The only minor issue was that the bathroom ventilation fan felt a bit weak. Above all, I was surprised they offered happy hour. There were several kinds of alcohol including sparkling wine available with unlimited refills, and even snacks were provided—perfect for a short break after checking in early. The mini financiers were delicious. The refreshing smiles from the front desk staff were also comforting. I’d like to stay here again when visiting this area. Thank you for your hospitality.

    4-night stay for business trip

    Conveniently located within walking distance from the station. It took about 6-7 minutes on foot from Hankyu Kobe Sannomiya Station. There is a supermarket next door, making it easy to stop by for shopping on the way back. The staff provided excellent service and were very pleasant. The Room was compact but equipped with a table and chair, making it functional and user-friendly. However, there were some concerns: the interior of the building felt too dark for my preference, the bed was too narrow, the shower hose had kinks causing irregular water flow, and dust in the bathroom ventilation was noticeable. While the building itself was dimly lit, the Room had sufficient lighting which made it bright and suitable for work. As Sannomiya felt like a slightly bustling area to me, I chose not to go out at night. Thank you for your hospitality!

    There were many delightful services, such as happy hour. The staff was very dedicated. The only downside was the breakfast side dishes; it would have been nice to have a bit more variety.

    Quiet and peaceful sleep

    Visited Kobe for work and decided to stay overnight, hoping to enjoy Sannomiya the next day. It happened to be a happy hour day, so after finishing work, I enjoyed some drinks in the lounge while catching up on tasks—very productive! What delighted me was finding the Snow Skin series as part of the amenities. Such small luxuries are truly appreciated. Hotels with great city and station access often come with noise issues from outside, making it hard to sleep. I was prepared for that considering the proximity to Sannomiya Station, but it was surprisingly quiet. I had a restful sleep! The next morning, I arrived at the breakfast venue just before last order but still enjoyed a delicious meal that gave me full energy for exploring Sannomiya! I’ll definitely stay here again when visiting Kobe.

    Wide range of satisfaction and dissatisfaction

    Arrived early intending to leave luggage, but was able to check in as the room was ready, which was very helpful in the extreme heat. Enjoyed the drink service, happy hour alcohol service, and snacks—satisfying considering the accommodation fee. However, with open hallways and courtyard, I ended up sweating while walking from the room to the front desk floor and then to the hotel entrance. In winter, it might feel cold immediately after leaving the room given this accommodation level. After checking out and leaving luggage for sightseeing, I asked if I could borrow a power outlet due to low battery but was declined; this felt most inconvenient. During a multiple night stay, only one toothbrush set was provided; no new ones were added after cleaning, leading to insufficient toothpaste. The location is relatively close and easy to find from Sannomiya Station.

    It was excellent.

    The room was the farthest from the elevator, so it was very quiet with few people passing by. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable with access to a drink bar and ice. I stayed here for a baseball game, so it was unfortunate that I couldn't be at the hotel during the wine service timing. The location is close to the station and provides easy access to the opposite side of the station, which was helpful in the heat. I would love to stay here again when visiting Sannomiya.

    Overall, I was satisfied. The smell at the entrance was quite noticeable, and the elevator also had an issue with odor. That was the only disappointing part.

    A big difference in just a few hours

    When staying at the accommodation, I usually have dinner at an outside restaurant, so no matter how hard I try, I return around 9:00 PM. The lounge's closing time was too early to enjoy even one drink. It would have left a different impression of the hotel if it stayed open until around 10:00 PM with a last order at 9:30 PM, even if it started later. This could also apply to other hotels that promote their lounges; guests who prefer relaxing dinners outside rather than nearby convenience stores or casual meals might share similar thoughts.

    A patio perfect for enjoyable conversations.

    Stayed with my husband. In the evening, wine, other alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, snacks, and even pancakes are available for free. There are comfortable sofas and patio seating where you can relax. After a nap, we visited the space and met two couples from America; we had a great time chatting with them. The atmosphere of Kobe Sannomiya added to the enjoyable experience.

    The room size, accommodation fee, and services are all standard. Here are some suggestions for improvement: The quality of amenities is not very good. It is inconvenient that there is no notepad in the room. Leaving bags in an open floor area after checkout does not feel secure.

    Mainly on the hardware side

    The high rating on Google seems questionable. I stayed on the 5th floor, the same as the lobby. The lobby and hallways face an open atrium in the center, but since only decorative fences separate them, cold drafts were directly felt. It was also uncomfortable that the hallways were fully visible from the lobby. Outside my window was a wall at eye level; I could barely see a sliver of sky. The unit bath was made of slippery material, making it necessary to lower my center of gravity to avoid falling when washing one foot while standing on the other. The sink bowl was large, but its faucet was too short, causing water to splash onto the counter when washing hands. Several long hairs that weren’t mine stuck to my pajamas after placing them on a stool with a patterned carpet-like surface—likely why I didn’t notice them beforehand. The electric kettle made strange noises even after boiling water and being unplugged from power. While beds are usually comfortable everywhere these days and not worth mentioning, this one felt outdated—hard and just "OK" for sleeping comfort. It wasn’t as bad as old-style futons in traditional ryokans but still didn’t provide good rest for me. As for the fridge, due to its height limitation, bottles had to be placed horizontally; however, its bottom tilted forward slightly so that bottles rolled out onto the floor upon opening it—a design flaw unless you use square-shaped bottles instead! WiFi speed was slow enough that I had no choice but to rely on my own UQ mobile data for streaming videos effectively. Breakfast lacked variety or quality compared even with some "free breakfasts" elsewhere. Positive points: While there were no bottled waters provided in rooms (which isn’t exactly positive), plenty of soft drinks were available in abundance at their lobby area instead—including an impressive selection of teas like caffeine-free Earl Grey (a rare find). Normally I'd bring such items myself if traveling lighter luggage-wise—but appreciated finding those here unexpectedly! Adding decaf coffee options would further enhance offerings though... From 5 PM–8 PM during what seemed like happy hour? Alcoholic beverages became accessible too—which might appeal greatly depending upon individual preferences/preferences overall!

    The proximity to the station and the cleanliness of the Facility were satisfactory! I used the breakfast service, but the onion soup was lukewarm, and the rice was generally cold, and I felt there were not many options for the price... The welcome drink service was excellent! The amenities were well-stocked and good!

    It was very comfortable.

    I stayed for two nights from November 16th to participate in the Kobe Marathon. The staff's response was pleasant from the beginning. The room was clean and quiet, and I found it convenient to use. Above all, the location is very convenient with excellent transportation access, and there are many shops nearby including a supermarket. It was also very handy to be able to quickly visit long-established Western-style restaurants and cafes. I think this hotel is recommended in terms of price as well.

    The proximity to the station is great!

    Is it an old hotel originally? The building is hollow, and because it's close to the station, you can hear the sound of trains quite well. The lounge is well-equipped with wine and other amenities, so I think it's a good hotel for a short trip.
