    Late-night check-in available

    Because our arrival at Kagoshima Airport was delayed by about an hour, we ended up checking in late at night and leaving early the next morning. Still, the location is convenient, and above all, the large public bath was very clean, so we were able to relax even during our short stay.

    We stayed for two ni...

    We stayed for two nights. Both the guest room and the large public bath were comfortable, and we were very satisfied with the breakfast. The local specialties, such as satsuma-age (fried fish cakes), were also delicious. When we visit Kagoshima again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

    Conveniently located for active exploration.

    I stayed in the city for the first time in a while due to a family memorial service. The room was a corner double with a view of Kagoshima-Chuo Station. It was compact but spacious enough for two people. The bed was slightly soft and a bit narrow. As expected from Dormy Inn, there was natural onsen, but the view was limited. I had hoped for a better view of Sakurajima, so that was slightly disappointing. The indoor bath used onsen water, while the outdoor bath seemed to use regular circulated hot water. Only the indoor bath had cloudy onsen water. Breakfast offered many options, and the local specialty "chicken rice" (keihan) was especially delicious. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Ice pillow!

    Ice pillows are available for rent, making the stay very comfortable. Dormy Inn offers exceptional value for money!

    Front Desk

    During my Multiple Night Stay without cleaning, I noticed a message on the TV stating that guests could request wear, water, or welcome sweets if desired. However, when I asked at the front desk, I was told, "Welcome items are only provided at the beginning because they are 'welcome' items." This response felt dismissive and as though they misunderstood the meaning of "welcome." With all due respect, it seems like there might be a lack of understanding or inconsistency in your guidance. If welcome items are indeed only available upon check-in as stated by the front desk staff, please update the information displayed on the TV to reflect this accurately. While Dormy Inn has gained higher ratings and increased its prices compared to before, it seems that front desk training may not have kept pace with these improvements.

    Unexpected stay due ...

    Unexpected stay due to the cancellation of the Yakushima flight from Kagoshima. Heard rumors about Dormy being known for its great bath, and it lived up to the reputation. The local specialties at breakfast were also delicious.

    Located in the heart of Tenmonkan.

    Located in the bustling area of Kagoshima, it is convenient for visiting famous shops. There are plenty of trams and buses from the central station, so transportation is not an issue. The staff are generally polite and attentive. The building seems a bit old, and the Room had a slightly musty smell. Voices from neighboring Rooms were quite audible, especially those of children or foreign guests which tend to echo more. The quality of the bathwater was excellent, and the sauna was very relaxing. Having Shirokuma ice cream available was a delightful touch. Consistent service is provided here.
