    The Room was comfortable.

    The Room was fairly spacious, and I had a comfortable stay. There is also a 7-Eleven across the street. The dining area is small and not really a place to relax with family. The food was replenished frequently, and the local specialties were delicious. It was inconvenient that the parking lot is first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved. Since it would be a problem if I couldn’t park, I reserved another parking lot just in case. In the end, I was able to park at the Hotel, but... Also, I emailed an inquiry before my stay but never received a reply. The check-in service was not great either. When I gave my name, they first asked about my payment method even though I had already paid in advance, which felt frustrating. Then they asked for my companion’s name without any explanation, which also felt uncomfortable. Up to that point, there was none of the usual check-in confirmation you would expect at a Hotel (e.g., “Mr./Ms. ___, you have reserved ___ Rooms for ___ nights starting today,” etc.). I started to worry that my Reservation hadn’t gone through; when I explained the Reservation details myself, they simply said it existed. When I asked about using the nearby Dormy bath facilities as well, they told me something like “Just look at the back of your ticket or follow the QR code and you’ll understand,” which made me uncomfortable throughout. I’ve stayed at other Dormy Inn properties before and had a good impression, so this time was disappointing in terms of service.

    It was a nice Hotel.

    This was my first stay at Dormy Inn, and I finally understood why my daughters always say, “This Hotel is great” whenever they use it on their trips. It goes without saying that it was quiet and the breakfast was delicious. What I personally loved most was the bottled water in the fridge—it was incredibly cold and felt amazing on my sweaty throat. Since it’s often left outside the fridge at other places, I was genuinely happy about that. There were also snacks provided, which helped satisfy a small hunger. Having a TV in the bathroom was a first for me, and watching a program while soaking in the bath was such a unique experience. The staff were all cheerful and efficient, which left a great impression. Thanks to this stay, I had a wonderful time in Matsue. As an aside, Dormy Inn’s character “Dormy Inko-chan” is adorable—it's rare to see a mascot with that kind of look (lol). Thank you for the sticker as well. I’ll be back again. Thank you very much.

    I can’t find the parking lot location…

    Top-floor non-smoking Room. There was a slight floral air freshener scent, but it wasn’t bothersome. The Room was quiet and comfortable, with no noise from neighboring Rooms. The bathroom was generally clean and well maintained. No issues with the overall environment.\n\nI arrived by car, but from the front of the Hotel I couldn’t tell where the parking lot was at all. When I parked and called, a young female staff member told me it was behind the Hotel; I eventually found it, but it wasn’t clear where to park. When I parked in a spot without a pole, another car entered right after and gestured to me, saying, “I’ve been parking there since yesterday,” so I moved my car.\n\nIt would be helpful to have clearer guidance so guests can find and use the parking more easily. Also, it may be unavoidable that parking is difficult for larger vehicles.

    We stayed as a coupl...

    We stayed as a couple. The new Room was pleasant, but the reception staff's service was slightly disappointing... The drink and ice cream services, as well as the late-night ramen, were thoughtful and enjoyable. Thank you very much.

    Yonaki Soba and the Onsen of Nono Matsue

    The "Yonaki Soba" was delicious. The Onsen at Dormy Inn in Higashihonmachi is a moderate distance from our Hotel, making it a pleasant walk, and we are very satisfied.

    The front desk staff...

    The front desk staff at check-in was very pleasant and efficient. I would like to use this service again. It would be great if there were amenities for women and larger-sized room wear available.

    The space was clean and comfortable. It might be better to have a bathtub without a step or seat.

    The rumors are true.

    Highly-rated Dormy Inn Overall, very satisfying considering the price. Conveniently located near the nightlife district. Highly-rated restaurants are just a short walk away. The "Yonaki Soba" was not crowded and tasted great, and of course, the breakfast service and quality were excellent. The only downside was that the pillow was too low for me. After taking a bath, I put ice cream from the lobby into the freezer section of my Room's refrigerator to eat later, but it melted (a minor issue, but I ended up giving a slightly lower rating... sorry).

    The bathroom is...

    Several long brown hairs were left in the bathroom and bathtub, and I only used the shower. The front desk staff seemed inexperienced.

    Exaggerated Advertising

    If you're unsure where to stay in Matsue, Shimane, choose here! A hotel with a natural Onsen near the station. What exactly is going on with this catchphrase? Upon closer inspection, our Facility does not have a large public bath. We were given a ticket for the affiliated Nono. The front desk did not provide any information paper, and even when pointed out, they showed an indifferent attitude without a word of apology. I frequently use the facilities of Kyoritsu Resort, but this is the first time I've had such an unpleasant experience. Hotels nearby are cheaper and offer better hospitality. What does "choose here if you're unsure" even mean? As a fan of Dormy Inn, this was a very disappointing experience.

    The service was disappointing.

    It was my first time using it in a while. It was conveniently located near the station, and the room was worth more than the price. However, the service was sloppy. When I asked for directions to the onsen of a related property, it was hard to understand, so I asked for a map, but they said they didn't have one. Since I wasn't familiar with the area, I got lost and returned to the hotel. When I asked someone else, they provided a map and explained properly, allowing me to enter the onsen. It was very disappointing that there was a difference in the way of service.

    Convenient and satisfying.

    It was close to the station and convenient to use restaurants. The Room had a sliding door between the entrance door and the Room, which was nice, and having a separate bathroom and toilet was really convenient. The staff were kind and pleasant.
