There is something white on the bedspread...

The Room originally assigned to me was directly in front of the cleaners’ staff room. Even though it was after check-in time had started, the staff room door was wide open, and I could clearly see people relaxing inside on tatami mats. Naturally, it did not feel pleasant. As soon as I entered the Room, I noticed some white substance (powdery?) scattered on the bed cover. I don’t know what it was, but I didn’t want to pay to sleep in that bed. When I contacted the front desk, they first guided me to move to the next Room, but since I wanted to get away from the staff room in front of me, I asked for a different floor instead and they accommodated my request. Thank you for your help. Although they moved me to a slightly larger Room on another floor, I immediately found a 1-yen coin under the desk. I think housekeeping could do a bit better. The Facility is probably old—the toilet seat was cold and surprised me as soon as I sat down. To be honest, I don’t think I will stay here again.

Great value for the price, and the location is excellent!

Considering the price and the distance to Sakae, it was a great choice! I’d be happy to stay here again when visiting Nagoya. The breakfast curry was delicious too!

I wish Hotels worldwide would finally get rid of all alarm clocks…

At check-in, I had been waiting in line much earlier, but a man who arrived later stood in an awkward spot. When I went to the front first, the staff spoke to me as if I had cut in front of him, which honestly really irritated me. The screw on the upper drain area of the bath was very loose, and every time the water hit it during my bath it made a loud clattering noise, so I couldn’t relax at all. Around 2:00 a.m., I don’t know what happened, but there was repeated knocking on a nearby Room door—over and over with no response—and it woke me up. What on earth was going on at 2:00 a.m.? The most unacceptable thing was that at 5:00 a.m., an alarm that had been left set by the previous guest went off. If you don’t have a habit of checking the bedside clock, you won’t notice an alarm is set and you can be woken up at an outrageous hour, so housekeeping should always make sure any alarms are turned off every time. On the positive side, the welcome drink service offered many options and ran for long hours, and it was nice that the breakfast venue was also open as a co-working space.

    I stayed in the acco...

I stayed in the accommodation to attend an event in Nagoya City. Since I couldn't get a non-smoking room and had previously stayed in smoking-allowed rooms at other hotels with only a slight tobacco smell, I reluctantly reserved a smoking-allowed room, thinking it would be tolerable. However, as soon as I got off the elevator, the smell of tobacco was already noticeable in the hallway. When I opened the door to my room, there was an overwhelming tobacco odor. For those who dislike cigarette smells, I strongly recommend choosing a non-smoking room.

    Had a comfortable stay!

I stayed at the accommodation during my visit to Nagoya to watch a play. The room was bright, with a separate bath and toilet, making my stay very comfortable. The lighting at the sink was excellent, and I especially liked the shampoo provided in the amenities. I woke up early and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. If I have another chance to visit Nagoya, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Noise from other rooms can be heard.

It seemed like a group trip, but leaving the Room door open and talking loudly was very noticeable. The laundry corner felt unclean.

Accessible universal room for wheelchair users. We were very satisfied with the recommended dinner options.

The service is good, but there are some points for improvement.

This was my third stay in Nishiki. The location is convenient and satisfactory. The Hotel staff changes during check-in and check-out, but their service is always pleasant and satisfying. There are two points to note: While the Facility is somewhat old, which is understandable, the underside of the toilet seat was severely dirty and not properly cleaned. I considered filing a complaint but gave up due to time constraints. Additionally, as I feel every time, the breakfast area has windows facing directly onto the main street with clear glass, making it uncomfortably close to pedestrians outside. It would be better if there were some kind of privacy screen at eye level to avoid awkward eye contact with passersby. This issue stands out because the breakfast menu itself makes a decent effort compared to other Business Hotels, which is otherwise commendable.

A bit outdated for a modern business hotel.

This time, I decided to consider staying in Nagoya for under ¥7K. The Meitetsu Inn emerged as a candidate. Since I knew the location, I checked in. The area around the front desk is spacious. You can pick up toothbrushes and amenities from the front desk. The 12 square meter Room is about what you would expect. However, the design is somewhat outdated, and the age shows a bit. The water pressure was sufficient, but the unit bath of this type has faucets that are a bit difficult to use. Also, the key with an old-fashioned chain is not very modern. The Room's electricity is activated by inserting the key holder, but it turns off immediately when removed, which might be slightly inconvenient during the night or dark hours. As for meals... I thought it might be fine to just grab something from a convenience store. The bed was comfortably firm, but keeping the price low results in this kind of experience. By the way, it's two blocks from Otsu Street, but the streets of Nishiki San in the early morning are dirty... Considering cost performance and location in Nishiki, Sanco Inn might be the only choice.
