Overall, I had a comfortable stay.

Thank you very much for your hospitality on this occasion. There were no major issues, and I am grateful that I was able to enjoy a generally comfortable stay. I hesitated to write this in a Review, but as I have no other way to convey my message, please allow me to share a few requests for improvement here. I am usually assigned Room 820, but this time I was shown to Room 620 for the first time. A common issue in both rooms is that the air-conditioning temperature setting is limited to a minimum of 23°C. This may not be a problem in midsummer when outdoor temperatures are high, but at this time of year the nighttime temperature drops, and at 23°C the cooling does not work well enough; each time, it becomes uncomfortably warm and makes it difficult to sleep. I understand the intention of narrowing the selectable temperature range and adjusting output at the outdoor cooling tower unit in order to reduce utility costs; however, if that results in guests having to endure an uncomfortable room temperature, I feel that is problematic. If possible, I would appreciate it if guests could select down to around 21°C. For reference, at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Station East Exit, cooling can be set down to 20°C. In addition, compared with before the renovation, removing the working desk space and also removing the two towel hooks that were on the wall to its left has been inconvenient—there is now nowhere suitable to hang used bath towels to dry. Even in a twin room, there should be other guests besides myself who work in their rooms; having only a small table in front of a small high sofa is inconvenient. Also, leaving two chairs sitting by themselves where the desk area used to be seems like wasted floor space—and even on the lighting switch it still says “desk.” For your reference, I have attached an image of bath towel hooks installed in the full changing area at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Station East Exit. Regarding Facility items specific to Room 620: The screw on the right-side bracket of the face-towel hook by the sink is loose and wobbles; please tighten it. Also, as for wall-mounted TV set: it tilts downward by about 7 mm on its left side; if possible, I would appreciate it if you could correct this. I sincerely apologize for raising such detailed points like an overly picky guest; however, there are many excellent aspects otherwise. As I would like continue staying with you going forward as well، these comments are offered with hopes for further improvements in convenience. I would be grateful if you could consider them positively.

We request prompt improvements to address the current usability issues.

Overall, I have been able to enjoy a comfortable stay; however, I am disappointed that the simple improvements for the inconveniences I previously pointed out have still not been addressed. I stay in the Deluxe Twin Room every time, but I feel the lighting in the washbasin area is insufficient. I use Accommodation about 200 nights a year both in Japan and overseas, and unfortunately your Hotel has the darkest washbasin space among them, making it very inconvenient for applying makeup or styling my hair. Since this should be resolved simply by replacing the light bulbs, I strongly hope you will address this as soon as possible. For your reference, the adjacent group Hotels in Yokohama Sakuragicho and at Yokohama Station East Exit have very bright washbasin areas and are easy to use. One more point regarding the TV: when watching NHK BS, a large “Notice Regarding BS Reception Fee Procedures” message appears at the lower left of the screen, making it difficult to watch. As your Hotel is part of a major chain, I assume there is no issue with having an active reception contract; however, it seems that procedures to prevent this notice from appearing have not been completed. As it repeatedly appears during viewing, I would also like to request that you complete this procedure promptly. Other than these points, there are no issues at all. Precisely because this is otherwise a comfortable and good Hotel, I strongly hope you will address these minor problems.

The front desk and breakfast venue staff were very helpful. It is often fully booked and difficult to make a Reservation, but I would like to stay here again.

    Close to the station

Conveniently located near the station, with nothing to complain about. It would be appreciated if the price were a little lower.

You can stay with peace of mind.

I frequently use this accommodation for business trips to Yokohama and Kamakura. Conveniently located right outside the west exit of Totsuka Station, it offers excellent access to both Yokohama and Kamakura. Being directly connected to the station, there are plenty of shops nearby, adding to its convenience. I have been staying here for many years, and while it has become completely cashless during the COVID-19 pandemic, staff members are always available at the front desk to assist with any needs. Perhaps influenced by their management of the Sheraton near Yokohama Station, this business hotel provides exceptional hospitality, which is one of the reasons I continue to choose this accommodation. I have already booked my final stay for this year in two weeks' time.

    Conveniently located near the station

Stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. A wide variety of amenities were available next to the front desk for free, which was very convenient. The Room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel is located near convenience stores, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets, making it highly convenient. Since check-in and check-out were done via machines, I couldn't comment much on the service. However, I couldn't communicate my concerns as there was no staff at the front desk on the day of check-out. Regarding daily Room cleaning: the conditioner provided in the bathroom seemed to have been replaced with body shampoo by mistake—it foamed unusually and left my hair feeling rough. This occurred in Room 413; please look into this matter.

The washing machine has its pros and cons.

This stay follows my visit to the Yokohama Station East Exit store in July. Since the previous accommodation was absolutely fantastic, I was looking forward to staying at the Totsuka location as well. The basics are similar, but the main differences seem to be breakfast and laundry facilities. At this location, breakfast is served buffet-style. While I enjoyed the sandwiches from the coffee shop at the other place, buffets are always exciting! The unlimited shirasu (whitebait) was a highlight for me. Warm rice topped with shirasu, soy sauce, and grated daikon radish... that alone made me happy. One thing that caught my attention was the laundry setup. At Yokohama Station East Exit store, you can wash and dry your clothes in one go; however, here they have separate washing machines and dryers, which is slightly less convenient. Additionally, there’s no password-based door lock system here either. That said, there are some advantages: there’s an extra machine available compared to before; it seems like cycles finish faster; and unattended laundry is taken care of by being held at reception—so it’s a bit of a trade-off overall. You can still check machine availability on TV screens here too—but instead of showing "time remaining," it displays "time elapsed since use started," which makes it slightly less user-friendly for planning purposes (though understandable given how different these machines operate). All in all though—I’m very satisfied with my stay! I’ll definitely consider this place again next time I visit Yokohama!

    It was great!

This was my second stay! The bed was fluffy and soft, which was very nice. The price was a bit high for a weekday, but the accommodation was clean and satisfying. I would love to stay here again.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

Conveniently located near the station, the Room was spacious, quiet, and clean. The bathroom and toilet were separate, with a large bathtub and washing area. It was a Hotel that exceeded its price value. During check-in, there was an issue with my smartphone which required assistance at the front desk, but they handled it kindly and professionally.

    Heating is available.

The heating temperature setting can be a bit tricky. The bed is quite comfortable for sleeping. Amenities are plentiful, including face packs and hair treatments. A wide variety of teas is available. The bathroom is a unit type, but there was some trash on the floor.

    I will use it again.

For several years, I have been using this place whenever I have business in Yokohama or Kamakura. It is conveniently located directly connected to Totsuka Station. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it became cashless, and when I used it again after a short break, the location of the self-check-in machine had changed. The ice machine was unavailable due to renovations, and I thought it would have been nice if there were some alternative measures in place.

I stayed for one night with my daughter. The room was clean and spacious, with a separate bath and toilet, making it comfortable. The location was very close to the station, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so we had no inconvenience. I actually wanted a multiple night stay, but there was no availability, so we stayed at a different hotel on the second day, but this hotel was more comfortable in every way. I will stay here again when I visit the area.

You can stay with peace of mind.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay at the end of the year and also stayed at the beginning of the year. I mostly use this Property when I come to the Yokohama area for work. I have been using it for quite some time, but since the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become cashless, and amenities and pajamas are now taken to the Room by oneself. Sotetsu also operates the Sheraton in front of Yokohama Station. Perhaps due to this influence, I feel that the customer service is excellent for a Business Hotel in this price range. It is directly connected to the station, and there are many convenience stores and restaurants around, making it convenient for transportation.

    Renewal

Since the last stay was very good, I prioritized the room and made a reservation with the same plan. Room 820, smoking. The room itself was clean, but I didn't feel any change in the water facilities. Unfortunately, the desk in front of the bathroom was removed, and for some reason, only two chairs were installed. The lighting in the washroom is dim, so the desk was very convenient... The table right after entering the room is much higher than the sofa, which feels awkward. I moved the chair that was in front of the bathroom to work on my computer, but even a small desk in the previous location would be convenient. I believe there used to be a closet, but it has been renewed to an open wall-mounted clothes hanger. As a smoker, having a closet is helpful for storing various things. After my stay, I read the reviews and found similar reviews about the same room, so I would appreciate your consideration. Thank you for the courteous response from the front desk and the subtle care and greetings from the cleaning staff in the hallway. I was able to relax again this time.

The improvements and inconveniences due to the renovation are crowded.

Last month and this month, I used Room 820 after the renovation, and I would like to share my observations (compared to when I used Room 620 of the same category several times before the renovation). I would appreciate it if improvements could be made where possible. ~Convenient and improved points after renovation~ - The TV has been changed to a smart TV, allowing viewing through various online TV streaming apps. - The previous cooler has been changed to a refrigerator. - The wall coverings and flooring in the guest rooms and common areas have been renewed, making them look clean. - The air conditioner's evaporator and remote control switch have been replaced, making it easier to use and improving comfort. ~Unchanged inconvenient points and issues since before the renovation~ - The wattage of the light bulb in the washroom, where detailed tasks such as makeup and shaving are performed and brightness is required, seems to be low as before, making it very dark (the darkest in the room) and difficult to see in the mirror. While I do not deny the concern for electricity costs, I believe there is room for consideration, such as introducing LED bulbs. - As I have pointed out before, having only one ice machine on the lobby floor remains very inconvenient. The amount of ice we can receive is limited, and we have to change clothes just to get ice, ruining our relaxation time. - Detailed cleaning around the bathroom and washroom is not thorough. Areas around faucets and handrails, the top of the bathtub apron, and the floor of the washing area, etc., have water stains and black or red mold or slime. Even if not daily, it should be possible to clean them once a week with a discarded toothbrush and some detergent, so I hope you will address this from a hygiene perspective. ~Unfortunate parts that became inconvenient due to the renovation~ - The writing desk that was built-in and installed in the back left space of the room has been removed, leaving two chairs that were previously arranged for the desk placed meaninglessly and inorganic. Even if the light switch on the headboard is labeled "desk," there is no longer a desk under that light, turning it into a mere dead space. Are all guests staying in this room not doing any writing or work? I do both writing and work, so it is very inconvenient without the previous desk and space with outlets. I would be grateful if you could address these issues to maximize customer convenience.

    It was clean and comfortable.

The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk and other areas were also well-maintained, which was nice. In the morning, I occasionally shared the elevator with the cleaning staff, and I was pleased with their courteous manner. If I had to mention one dissatisfaction, it would be the unclear breakfast instructions. There was no explanation about the location or time of the breakfast venue at check-in. Additionally, when I went to the venue in the morning, there was no staff present, and I was left standing there not knowing where to scan the barcode. Eventually, someone came from behind, and I finally understood how it worked by observing them, but I would have appreciated clearer instructions at the front desk or assistance at the breakfast venue. Everything else was very good.
