    It was the first time I’d encountered such an unbelievable situation, and it left me completely exhausted.

    Checked in after a marathon. It was a hot May day in Karuizawa at 27°C, so I took a shower and turned on the air conditioner, but because it is centrally controlled I couldn’t change it from fan mode, and the room temperature rose to over 32°C. When I stopped by the front desk on my way out for a walk and dinner and reported, “It won’t switch from fan mode and the room temperature is over 31°C—it’s too hot,” I was told, “The centrally controlled air-conditioning system is broken and we don’t know when it will be restored. Sorry. Please open the window, or we can lend you a fan.” I was disappointed that they didn’t mention this at check-in and only explained after I complained. When I returned, the system still hadn’t been restored and there were no further alternative measures offered. I opened the window (which only opens slightly) and used a fan, but the room temperature didn’t drop below 30°C until after 2:00 a.m. I sweated all night, checked out exhausted due to lack of sleep, and received no explanation or apology—an awful experience overall. It was one night of simply enduring it because there was no other option than to stay.

    Excellent access to the station

    A newly opened property near Karuizawa Station—just a short walk from the T-Site, less than 5 minutes to Ohga Hall, and with easy access to the outlet mall. In the lobby, there is a Mikado Coffee machine, so you can enjoy delicious coffee anytime, and the Room was more spacious than expected. The front desk staff were calm and professional, which made it easy to relax. If there is another concert, I would love to stay again.

    Non-smoking, but there is a smell of tobacco.

    The room is non-smoking, but could it be that the smell of old tobacco lingers? When I entered the room, I thought, "Huh? It smells," but after going out and returning at night, the smell of tobacco became quite strong and was unpleasant. Other than that, it was close to the station, the room was clean, and there were no issues considering the price.

    Convenience

    The location was perfect for a trip without a car, being very close to the station. I stayed in a twin room and had a comfortable experience. As it is a Business Hotel, there was nothing particularly impressive, but the room was clean and I had no complaints. The price was high due to the peak season, which was understandable.

    Conveniently located near the station

    Great value for a place to sleep. Conveniently located near the station with excellent access to the outlet mall. Be aware that check-in can take a long time during busy periods, especially with foreign guests. If you're asked to download the hotel's app during check-in, it may take even more time.

    Suitable for a simple stay. The bathroom drain may clog easily if someone with long hair uses it. The staff are very kind and helpful!

    A bit disappointing

    The Room itself was very satisfying. However, regarding breakfast: Even though it was still within breakfast hours, I noticed an employee packing curry and sandwiches into plastic bags for personal takeaway right next to where I was eating. Putting curry directly into a plastic bag raises concerns about hygiene management.

    It is conveniently located near Karuizawa Station and easy to find. I used it because I had an early meeting the next day. I was able to relax until just before the meeting time. The Room is small, but it has all the essentials, and I was able to stay comfortably. The newspaper service was also good. Thank you very much.

    Business Stays

    I stayed for the first time. It was for business purposes. Thank you for your hospitality. The location is close to Karuizawa Station and easy to find from the main street. It seems that the property has been renovated from an old facility, and while the exterior and corridors did not have the typical APA Hotel atmosphere, the room had the usual feel of a single room in an APA Hotel. It is a valuable business hotel around Karuizawa Station, which was helpful. The parking lot is narrow, which is a drawback, but there is a spacious municipal parking lot about a 5-minute walk away, so it's not a big problem (however, it is paid, 600 yen for 24 hours). I used the hotel restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. It's convenient not to have to go out when you're tired. As for breakfast, it might have been a coincidence, but it was a bit disappointing that there was only one type of bread, a roll, but it's not a significant issue.
