    Reliable comfort

    For a business hotel, I think it offers excellent value. Whenever I’m on a business trip to Toyama, this is the place I choose these days.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    This was my first stay. It is close to Takaoka Station, and it is convenient because you can get to the Hotel without needing an umbrella even if it rains. The salmon at breakfast was thick and delicious. It was disappointing that there were no refills of rice porridge or croissants, perhaps because it was late. The view from the Room was great, with mountains visible.

    Just a short walk from the station.

    The location is excellent, and breakfast was smooth and delicious. It was comfortable with no noise from the neighboring rooms. However, considering the number of guests, the Onsen felt small (maybe because it was a Saturday?), and after entering we had to wait quite a while for a washing station.

    Stay for sightseeing

    Because it was a weekday, it felt like there were many business travelers. The bath was spacious and not crowded, which was great.

    Delicious breakfast.

    Enjoy a satisfying meal with a choice of Japanese or Western main plate plus a half-buffet. The calm atmosphere of the full-service restaurant is also relaxing.

    I used this place as I had a destination in Takaoka. The staff were kind and provided friendly service. The steam sauna in the bath was great.

    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located near the station. The Room is compact, but considering the price, convenience, and abundance of amenities, it's a great value. Highly recommended.

    There was a coffee service on the front floor, but it was not mentioned during check-in. Although there was a signboard, it was placed in a secluded area, so many guests might miss this thoughtful service. Also, since there is a large public bath, it would be appreciated if hand towels could be provided either inside the bath area or by placing two hand towels in each guest room. Somehow, the service felt more tailored to repeat customers who have used Manten Hotel multiple times rather than new visitors. The price seemed reasonable considering the timing.

    The room might be a bit small.

    Perhaps because the Hotel in Kurobe where I stayed the next day was spacious, this Room felt a bit smaller. Overall, it is standard. The tone of the Room, such as the wall color, is cream-based, allowing for a relaxing stay. I chose Japanese-style breakfast, and it was reasonably delicious. Due to its convenience, I think I would stay here again.

    Regular Accommodation in Takaoka

    I have been using this Hotel since the beginning, and I am especially happy that it is accessible from Takaoka Station without getting wet. The front desk staff are kind and pleasant. It is unfortunate that the breakfast buffet at the restaurant was replaced with a set meal due to some inconsiderate travelers, as it used to be a very delicious buffet full of local flavors. Being able to choose a pillow according to your preference is greatly appreciated for relieving travel fatigue. The Room size is more spacious compared to recent Business Hotels.

    Clean, convenient, and comfortable.

    I stayed for one night to explore Takaoka. I always choose places with a Review score of 4.5 or higher on IKYU.com, and while this location was slightly below that, it turned out to be very satisfying. Pros: Clean Room and Facility, comfortable public bath, convenient location near the station Cons: The single Room was small (12 sqm), breakfast soup and mashed potatoes were not tasty The mist sauna in the women's bath was also excellent. The temperature is on the higher side, which might not suit everyone, but I personally enjoyed it. As others have mentioned, it would be great if this mist sauna were available in the morning as well. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay.

    It was disappointing...

    It was disappointing that the curry was no longer available when I stayed before, and that the library was closed due to the New Year's holiday. I think an 11 a.m. checkout would be nice because it allows for a relaxing bath after breakfast. Please consider it. However, I appreciated being able to relax and the proximity to the station.

    Price Revision? Stay at the Best Stays

    The positive aspects are the service, accessibility, large public bath, cleanliness, and luxury feel. The drawbacks are the small size of the single rooms, the view from the windows, the specifications of the washing machines and vending machines, and the hassle at the reception. It is not a perfect property, but with nearby budget hotels increasing in price and luxury chains aging, the price here has decreased, making it relatively a very good stay.
