    If you’re arriving by car, please be sure to read this.

    It may not be entirely the staff member’s fault, but I received a call while driving and was abruptly asked, “What time will you arrive?” It felt like I was being questioned about why I hadn’t arrived yet. I told them it would still take some time. I explained that we were delayed due to traffic and asked whether there was any limit on the arrival time; they curtly replied, “No,” and ended the call. I had a bad feeling, and as expected, the parking lot was full. I was told we could not park there, and that the affiliated parking was also full, so we should find somewhere ourselves. I was shocked—without parking, we couldn’t stay unless we parked illegally. I complained and asked them to help find a place to park; only then did they start checking into it. However, even the parking lot they said had space was actually full. In the end we waited until a spot opened up and were able to park, which was a relief, but it was extremely frustrating. Since it was summer vacation and we were traveling by car, getting caught in traffic may have been on us—and being tired may also have been our issue—but their response alone was enough for me to decide never to stay again. I understand this is an inexpensive Business Hotel, but is this really acceptable? They treated not being able to park as normal and responded matter-of-factly. It did teach me an important lesson for choosing Hotels in the future. The experience before check-in left me mentally drained and even more exhausted. If you are coming by car, I think it’s best to avoid staying at this Hotel. After all that stress at check-in, on top of already feeling unsteady from fatigue, the Facilities such as the air conditioner were quite old and didn’t work well, making it hard to sleep... One positive point: the bathroom had been renovated—it looked very white, new-looking, and clean.

    With breakfast included, this price is a great deal. The refrigerator didn’t cool very well, but otherwise I was satisfied. The large public bath also seemed to have been renovated and was very clean.

    The breakfast buffet had a limited selection. Some of the rice was hard in places. It was disappointing.

    It was comfortable.

    Although living in Aichi Prefecture, my husband played golf with his university friends in Tsu, and since my parents' home is also in Tsu, we decided to book a hotel near Tsu Station this year instead of staying at my parents' house. We enjoyed exploring the nostalgic streets of Tsu by bike. There are many Business Hotels around Tsu Station, and since we had our car, even slightly inconvenient locations were not an issue. However, we chose this accommodation because it offered free parking, a large public bath, and breakfast service—all at a great value. Except for the front desk staff being somewhat formal without much of a smile (not rude by any means), everything about the Hotel was perfect. As my elderly parents have different daily routines now, I would definitely like to stay here again if I have another opportunity to visit Tsu in the future. My husband also mentioned that he plans to visit Mie University frequently moving forward and would consider this accommodation as his first choice for overnight business trips. Thank you very much!

    Unfortunately...

    Stayed as a couple. We chose a smoking room for my husband, who is a smoker, but that was our first mistake. I've never stayed in such a tobacco-smelling Room before, even in smoking rooms. It seems the Room was designed with windows that cannot be opened—no wonder. The toilet paper holder in the washroom looked dull and dusty had accumulated on it. What was most unsettling, however, was the dent on the door that looked like it had been punched. We were only given one room key, and since there was no intercom in the Room, it was quite inconvenient at times. The breakfast highly rated in Reviews had limited options and felt underwhelming. Since it was during a holiday period, there wasn't much value for money either; this is the first time I felt disappointed after making a Reservation through IKYU.com.

    The breakfast buffet is of exceptionally high quality.

    Due to my work, I travel around cities across the whole country and usually stay at hotels listed on IKYU.com, priced around 10,000 to 12,000 yen per night. I stay approximately 50 nights a year. Among them, this hotel stood out for its breakfast buffet. First of all, the white rice was delicious. Unlike the standard selection found in most hotels, they offered dishes like stir-fried meat and vegetables, sukiyaki, local specialties such as Ise Udon—perfect for those on a multiple night stay without getting bored of the meals. The highlight was definitely the Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard). This Chawanmushi ranks in my personal top three—even compared to ones I've had at authentic Japanese restaurants. It truly had the taste of fine dining cuisine. Each dish was not just randomly presented but thoughtfully seasoned with care and attention to detail—that's the impression I got. After staying for four nights with four breakfasts included, it was an extremely satisfying accommodation experience.

    It was good.

    I was grateful to have breakfast included at this price. I accidentally made a smoking Reservation, so next time I would like to stay in a non-smoking Room. The building itself seems old, but it has been renovated, and the Room was spacious and comfortable.

    Worth the price

    The price is reasonable for the minimum service. For those who want to visit Ise Jingu, it takes about an hour by car. The bath is clean, and if there are no strange families around, I think it's a comfortable Hotel to stay at.

    For use on a trip with a partner

    Good Points The Room was very clean, and the amenities were well-equipped! The unit bath was also very clean, and I could use it without any hesitation. Above all, I was surprised at how cheap it was, even though I used it during the holidays and it included breakfast. Bad Points Two points about breakfast (buffet style) 1. There were two types of rice, plain white rice and multigrain rice, I think? The multigrain rice was almost gone, so I would have liked it to be checked and replenished. 2. There was a hot pot dish, but it was cold. I don't think it needs to be piping hot, but it was completely cold, which was disappointing. Regarding the bath, I didn't give a perfect score because I am looking forward to the large public bath that will be available in the future.
