    A Trip to Takayama

    This was my sixth stay. I love Hida Takayama, and I choose this place every time I visit. It’s conveniently close to the old town streets. Since I travel by car, the parking conditions are excellent. I will stay again. Thank you very much.

    Convenient for exploring Takayama

    This was my fifth trip to Hida Takayama to enjoy Hida beef. It was my first stay here, and I was able to relax thanks to the Onsen and the kind, attentive service.

    Stay Overnight During the Hida Brewery Nonbei Festival

    I stayed here during a festival I’ve attended for the past four years. I truly love Alpina’s Onsen, and the pot bath is sometimes my favorite. This time, they prepared an excellent Room for me, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable and luxurious stay. I will definitely stay again.

    It was great to have a natural Onsen and be close to the station.

    Conveniently located near Takayama Station, this Accommodation features a large public bath with panoramic views and natural Onsen, and it felt clean throughout. Considering the room rate, it was excellent value. The staff were kind, and the cleaning was thorough.

    We were very satisfied.

    This was my first stay. All the staff were very pleasant, and everything—including the Room—was kept very clean, making for a comfortable visit. The bath on the top floor was also an Onsen and felt wonderful; I felt like my skin became silky smooth. Breakfast was average, but I was happy they offered local dishes. The location is great, and I would like to stay again.

    The public bath is excellent.

    Conveniently located about an 8-minute walk from Takayama Station. The building is new and clean. A few hundred yen Hot Spring Tax was paid before check-in. The room was well-prepared and tidy. The complimentary herbal tea in the lobby was delicious. The public bath was very relaxing, and it’s convenient that you can move to the bath area wearing the hotel loungewear and slippers. A ReFa hairdryer was provided in the changing room of the public bath. Overall, it felt like a perfect blend of a business hotel and a tourist hotel. It was my first visit to Takayama City, and I’m glad I stayed here for a comfortable experience!

    Convenient

    The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store, the station, and the old town area. It is also easy for cars to pull up close to the entrance for pick-up. The lobby has plenty of seating, and everyone seemed to be enjoying a relaxed atmosphere. The Onsen was not crowded at all, making it very comfortable. Overall, it felt worth the price; however, there were two points of concern: 1. The large ventilation filter on the ceiling near the room entrance had accumulated thick dust that occasionally fell off. 2. The humidifier tank had noticeable black and red stains indicating it needed cleaning, which made me hesitant to use it. Additionally, while I understand this may be outside standard service for non-city hotels: when someone using a cane in one hand struggles with receiving luggage or parcels from delivery services due to carrying capacity issues, offering assistance with a simple "Shall I help you bring this to your room?" would have been appreciated. The staff member who handled my delivery noticed my difficulty but only asked with a half-smile if I was okay before placing everything on a chair and leaving without further assistance. While I understand that some business hotels offer such individual help while others do not—and this does not necessarily reflect poorly—it would leave a better impression if small gestures of assistance were provided in such situations.

    Overall, it was a great experience. The location was in the city, and there was plenty of parking space. It seemed like about one-third to half of the guests were from overseas. The bath area was spacious and relaxing. There were indoor baths, open-air baths, and even Onsen with natural flowing spring water in individual pots—quite surprising! The view was fantastic with Mount Norikura right in front (though it was cloudy when I visited). Breakfast was a buffet with delicious vegetables and miso soup filled with lots of ingredients—a must-try! They seem to use local ingredients for their dishes. The natto (fermented soybeans) labeled as Hida Natto stood out; the beans were plump, soft, and incredibly tasty.

    The staff provided very courteous service. A staff member was seen happily chatting with a foreign guest in the lobby, which left a great impression. This is my regular accommodation when visiting Kamikochi. Despite it being during the holidays, I miraculously secured a great room. I will visit again someday.

    Relax in the Open-Air Bath

    I stayed for business purposes. The place was clean and relaxing, allowing me to momentarily forget work stress. The breakfast was satisfying, and the staff were kind. Thank you very much!

    The parking was easy to find and convenient to use. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very accommodating, and I had a comfortable time at the Onsen. I will visit again next month.

    5 nights in Takayama

    I stayed at different accommodations every day through various sites. This is one place I would definitely like to stay again. The amenities include a body sponge. While cleansing products are not individually provided, they are available in the large public bath, so no need to worry. The parking lot is right in front and on a flat surface (not sure if it's paid or free). Additionally, this is the only place in the area with natural hot spring water directly flowing into the baths. The hallways were wider and brighter than anywhere else, which left a great impression. The room was spacious and felt very comfortable to live in. If you prioritize practicality over stylish spaces, this is highly recommended! As a traveler, having laundry facilities here would make it perfect. Highly recommended for everyone!

    I often use IKYU.com and usually make a Reservation expecting a certain level of Facility if it is not listed as a Business Hotel. This Hotel, in my opinion, has Facilities, Rooms, and meals that could be categorized as those of a Business Hotel. However, I truly felt the efforts and creativity of the staff despite certain limitations. For example, they provided welcome drinks, explanations about nearby restaurants, and even allowed breakfast to be brought to the Room (though I didn’t take advantage of this). One point that stood out to me was related to the Facility itself—something that might be difficult to improve. The door leading to the open-air bath can easily be locked from inside. This means there’s a risk of being locked out unintentionally or otherwise. To avoid this issue when I used the open-air bath, I turned the lock so that it protruded outward for safety reasons.

    Great location, highly recommended!

    This was my first time staying here. I was able to use the parking lot even before check-in, allowing me to leisurely explore nearby Hida beef restaurants and the old town streets. The natural Onsen left my skin feeling smooth! At the restaurant in the morning, the tables felt a bit compact and slightly cramped, but the freshly baked bread and summer vegetable curry were absolutely delicious and satisfying. I would love to stay here again if I have another chance!

    Business Use

    I recently stayed at the Hotel again after a while, and I noticed that the check-in and other systems had been updated, making the process very smooth. The TV screen allowed me to check the crowd levels at the large public bath and breakfast venue, so I experienced no inconvenience during my stay. The breakfast featured local ingredients, giving it a quality that felt on par with a tourist hotel. I think the value for money is excellent!

    First-time Use!!

    This was my first time staying at the Hotel. I think it is a very good hotel for convenience stores and city sightseeing. However, it was raining when I went out, and there were no umbrellas available on the floor, so I had to ask the staff to borrow one. A little more consideration would have been appreciated.

    Things that made me happy

    The eggs and croissants on the breakfast menu were particularly delicious. I rarely have both rice and bread for breakfast, but I couldn't resist having another croissant. Also, I was delighted to find a tourist guidebook in the drawer of the desk in the Room.

    I stayed for two nig...

    I stayed for two nights, and the hotel was close to the station. The staff were friendly and attentive, making my stay very comfortable. The only drawbacks were the lack of cotton swabs among the amenities and the hairdryer in the Room, which was too weak and too hot.

    Not recommended for business use.

    Typical facilities are first-class, but the hospitality is third-rate. I used it for work, but basically, foreigners and groups are prioritized, and individual guests are left to their own devices. That's the impression I got. Breakfast is late and crowded. Those who give up buy breakfast at the 7-Eleven next door. I recommend it to those who have time and money to spare for sightseeing. I felt like I lost a little on the breakfast cost.

    Open-air bath

    I didn't have high expectations for the bath at this kind of hotel, but it was very good. It seemed like the cleaning staff were frequently attending to it, and it felt very clean. The hot water was also nice. I would like to use it again.

    If you prioritize cost performance, there's nothing to complain about.

    Is the focus on inbound support? The staff were all non-Japanese, but they provided solid service. I wonder if the spa facilities are hot springs? They were nice.
