    A Business Hotel chain with a high average rating

    Everything you need for your stay is provided, making it comfortable. The large Onsen bath is an older style, but there is an open-air bath, sauna, and cold plunge. Breakfast offers a standard mix of Japanese and Western options. Nothing in particular stood out as exceptional, but there was a good variety and I was satisfied. The room has a door separating the bathroom area from the bedroom, which adds privacy and makes it easy to relax. The refrigerator includes mineral water and snacks. The in-house loungewear is also easy to put on and take off, which is convenient. The staff handled everything smoothly. The location is inconvenient as it’s a bit far to walk to Akita Station and the downtown area. However, the lotus flowers in Senshu Park were beautifully in bloom, offering an elegant view right from the front entrance.

    About Dormy Inn

    I’ve stayed at Dormy Inn in Nagano and Sendai, and I really liked the large public bath. I’d love to stay at other Dormy Inn locations again.

    The Room was comfort...

    The Room was comfortable, and the late-night soba was still available—consistent Dormy Inn quality. However, with many nearby competitors such as Richmond and Roynet, Dormy Inn is relatively expensive, so compared with those two Hotels, it feels less clearly differentiated as an option.

    A Relaxing Business Trip

    I stayed here on a business trip. The rooms and service are more than adequate for a Business Hotel, but the main reason to choose this place is the large Onsen bath. The water quality is excellent, and it was perfect for soothing my tired body after work—I used it twice, at night and again in the morning. I would be truly happy if the price were a little lower.

    Highly recommended restaurant

    Breakfast is delicious, and late-night ramen is also available. You can also use the Onsen. It is a highly recommended Hotel, as it is very close to the museum and the station.

    Reliable Dormy Inn!

    It's a short walk from the station, but not too far to be inconvenient. It is conveniently located near Senshu Park and restaurants. The reliable two-piece loungewear, nighttime ramen, Onsen, post-bath ice cream and yogurt drinks, and other Dormy Inn services made for a comfortable stay.

    It’s a bit of a walk...

    It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but still within a reasonable distance. The large public bath, late-night ramen, and delicious breakfast buffet were all very satisfying. Thank you for your hospitality.

    About the Facility

    The building is old but well-maintained and clean. However, the Room I stayed in was small and dimly lit, ranking among the lowest compared to many other Hotels I have stayed at, and felt overpriced overall.

    The bath was excellent.

    The bath was at just the right temperature, and the slightly slimy Onsen was also enjoyable. While breakfast lacked the luxury compared to other Dormy Inn locations, everything was delicious and satisfying. The Facility feels a bit old, but it is well-maintained and covers all the essentials.

    Courteous service

    Due to a sudden change in plans, I couldn't visit at the registered time, but I received a kind phone call which reassured me and allowed me to visit with peace of mind. The Onsen water was also excellent. I look forward to visiting again.

    Affordable.

    I have stayed here several times after live events. The venue is right in front. I love being able to soak in the Onsen in the heart of the city. The free ramen is also a nice touch.

    Excellent Breakfast

    The variety of small dishes available at the buffet was incredible, and they were both delicate and delicious. It was the best hotel breakfast I have ever experienced. Thank you. This exceptional hospitality right before leaving truly leaves a lasting impression.

    Only the front desk service was disappointing.

    When I arrived at the Hotel, there were 2 or 3 staff members present, but they didn’t even greet me with a “Welcome” and didn’t pay any attention to me. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to use the self-check-in machine, so I asked, and only then did they finally respond with “Yes.” Since my arrival time was 10:30 PM and I knew that the complimentary night soba service ended at 11 PM, I quickly went back to the first floor after checking in and managed to have it. However, it was disappointing that there was no guidance about this. With the self-check-in system in place, perhaps there’s less opportunity for staff to explain Hotel services. However, saying something like “Please come here after completing your check-in” would allow for explanations or guidance—there are many ways this could be improved.

    I had a relaxing time.

    We stayed in a room with tatami mats during our family trip. The room was spacious enough to relax and lie down comfortably. Breakfast included local specialties, and the flavors were excellent, making it a very satisfying experience.

    I used it for a business trip, and the breakfast buffet had Akita-style dishes, which were very delicious. In addition to the large public bath and open-air bath, there was ice cream after bathing and free ramen, which was one of the pleasures. The staff's response was standard, and I had no complaints at all.

    A consistently reliable inn!

    I visited in the middle of Japan on my motorcycle! Your hotel is consistently reliable no matter when I visit! The bath is great, and I love the ice cream and morning post-bath drink service, as well as the late-night soba! The breakfast is also delicious, and the small dishes are a nice touch! I couldn't resist having seconds of the pork belly and other tasty dishes, even at my age! Being able to park my motorcycle for free is one of the reasons I choose your hotel! I'll visit again.

    About parking the car

    This time, I stayed using a rental car. It was a regular car, but perhaps the height was a bit high. Initially, I was told it could be parked in the multi-story parking lot, so I drove in. However, after entering, I was told to leave because the car was indeed too tall. There were poles and other cars, making it difficult to exit, and without any guidance from the staff, I struggled a lot to get the car out and moved to the parking lot next to it. I was very confused by the staff's response. It took a lot of time, and it was very disappointing.
