  Whirlwind Trip

  The Hotel Room was a double Room, and it felt cleaner and nicer than I expected. The size was just right. Breakfast was buffet-style with a good variety of dishes and some desserts, and everything was delicious. The front desk staff were polite and made me feel welcome. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

  Although the property is old, the service is excellent.

  Although the property feels dated overall, it was good that the amenities were provided in the Room and not taken away. The meals offered a wide variety and tasted good. The bath was small, but still good. However, the route from the parking lot to the lobby involves stairs, which was inconvenient.

Our breakfast menu changes daily, so we hope not only first-time guests but also guests on a Multiple Night Stay can enjoy it. Your comment that “the food tasted great” will be especially encouraging to our staff who prepare breakfast every day. As for the large public bath, there may be some inconveniences, but we are relieved to hear that you were satisfied. The large public bath is a very popular Facility among our guests. In the women’s large public bath, we offer a shampoo bar. We recommend all of the shampoos and treatments for their ingredients and fragrances, and we hope they help soothe both your mind and body. Amenities are also provided in each Room, so please feel at ease during your stay. This year marks our 22nd year since opening. While the building has aged overall, we have strengthened our cleaning efforts—led by our housekeeping staff—so that you can stay comfortably. Although there may still be some aspects that cause inconvenience, we will continue striving to maintain a clean Hotel that does not feel outdated. On the other hand, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience regarding access from the parking area to the lobby. In addition to the elevator on the 1st floor, there is also an entrance door from the parking area on the 3rd floor that connects directly to the front desk on the 2nd floor. However, for guests who park on the 2nd floor or rooftop (4th floor), it is a bit of a distance to reach this entrance; you may need to use stairs or walk further than expected. Due to structural limitations it is difficult to improve this immediately, but we take your feedback seriously and will make use of it in future operations.   I stayed here while visiting from Kansai to pay respects at a family grave.

  After climbing the stairs and feeling tired, I was able to relax in the large public bath. The mattress in the Room was very comfortable. I really appreciated how quickly you helped with charging my car. I also enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning—thank you, it was delicious. If I had to mention one thing... I saw a veteran restaurant staff member instructing a new employee, but I felt that nowadays it would be better to coach them more gently and encouragingly. A harsh voice echoed through the restaurant...

All of us on staff were delighted to read your kind comments, such as: “After climbing stairs and getting tired, I was able to relax in the large public bath,” “The mattress in the Room was very comfortable,” and “I also enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning.” Our large public bath is a radium artificial Onsen. It is expected to promote blood circulation and metabolism, and may also help with skin conditions, neuralgia, rheumatism, and more. Compared with natural hot springs, radium artificial Onsen is also said to have a stronger perspiration effect. By sweating in the Onsen, it is believed that waste products and toxins may be expelled from the body. In addition, stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system may help balance the autonomic nervous system and provide stress relief. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our large public bath. We are also relieved to know that you found our breakfast buffet delicious. However, despite your warm words overall, we sincerely apologize for any discomfort caused by our breakfast staff’s response.   The twin room is more spacious than expected.

  The site mentioned a twin room of 20 square meters, but it felt more like 30 square meters. It was more spacious and comfortable than it appeared in the photos. The room had two chairs and a sofa. Since we reserved two rooms for four people, the space in one of the rooms was very convenient for relaxing together. While the building's age is noticeable, they seem to be making great efforts to improve where possible. For example, although heated toilet seats were not available, seat covers were provided at the front desk (though only those who noticed them could use them as there was no announcement). The bath included a large public bath with artificial onsen water, which was nice. Pajamas were provided in the form of samue-style loungewear and were comfortable to wear. Breakfast started at 6:30 AM, which was helpful for our early departure schedule. If you're deciding between this hotel and others based on room size or breakfast time, it might be worth reaching out to inquire further—it’s a hotel worth considering for its value and effort put into guest comfort. One area that could be improved is the keypad screen for entering codes at the women’s bath door; it may be difficult for elderly guests to see clearly.

  Great value, and the service at the front desk and restaurant is excellent. Parking is available by reservation in advance, and SUVs can also be parked. The large public bath is also OK. We had a great trip. It's top class among Route Inn hotels.
