  Your go-to Accommodation near Lake Suwa?

  I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve stayed here (probably 5+). It’s hard to find an Accommodation you can stay at within “one Shibusawa” during peak season—there are fewer options to begin with, and the limited supply gets snapped up instantly. But this place (the roadside-type chain, *standard brand only*) is a safe choice. I’ve said it many times: having the bare minimum—parking, a large public bath, breakfast, and a Room where you can spend the night alone without being made uncomfortable—is surprisingly hard. Even within this chain type, these basics can sometimes be missing for reasons that aren’t the Hotel’s fault. In short: it’s necessary and sufficient, so it works. If you want other reasons—an open-air bath, gourmet food, etc.—look for another Accommodation. (There are plenty around Lake Suwa… though they’ll easily exceed “one Shibusawa.”)

  Fairly satisfied

  We stayed for a multiple night stay as a party of two. We stayed in a double room. There was no space to open our suitcases, which was inconvenient. The large public bath was relaxing. On the first day, we left at 5 AM and couldn't use the breakfast buffet, but on the second day, we enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet.

  Breakfast

  The breakfast was standard but somehow delicious. My wife even had two extra servings of rice.
