    I gave up on breakfast because there was a line of 50 people.

    This was my second stay at Route Inn Iwaki. I booked a breakfast-included Plan, but a line of about 50 people had formed by the 6:30 a.m. opening time, and even after 15 minutes I still couldn’t get in. I returned my breakfast ticket to the front desk and checked out. The large public bath was appealing, but next time I’m considering the Toyoko Inn next door. If breakfast opened at 6:00 a.m., even if it still took 30 minutes to enter with a line of 50 people, I would appreciate an earlier opening time.

    Peace of mind, guaranteed

    You can’t go wrong staying at Route Inn. It’s close to the station and convenient for nights out. The downside with this Room was that there was no power outlet where the air purifier was placed, so it wasn’t usable unless we moved it.

    Route Inn

    I stayed here partly because I often use Route Inn and feel confident choosing it. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The large public bath is on the top floor; there is no open-air bath, but you can view the cityscape of Iwaki. The disappointing part was breakfast. I wasn’t expecting anything elaborate, but the omelet and fried items were cold, and there were only two types of bread. Compared with other Route Inn hotels, both the quality and variety felt significantly lacking. Honestly, it’s rare to find a buffet with so few items I want to eat. I plan to stay in Iwaki again, so I hope this was just a one-off experience.

    It was great.

    I chose this place because it has a large public bath on the top floor, and it was absolutely the right decision. The bed firmness suited my preference, and although I woke up in the middle of the night feeling hot, overall, it was a great stay. The front desk staff were pleasant, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Iwaki.

    I would not want to stay here again.

    1. Despite a Multiple Night Stay, the bathroom door was opened around 9:30 AM when I had just finished bathing. It was an unexpected and frightening experience. I thought I could relax since it was a Multiple Night Stay, but it seems cleaning starts at 9:30 AM even though I hadn't checked out yet. It was written on the back of the small Route Inn guide handed to me at check-in, but I didn’t read it as I was tired. There was no explanation during check-in either. For Multiple Night Stays, it would be better to confirm with guests before starting cleaning. 2. The disposable brown slippers were placed on the brown closet floor and blended in, making them hard to find. Not wanting to wear plastic slippers, I asked at the front desk and was told there were no disposable slippers provided. The next day, I found them myself; is this due to a lack of awareness by the front desk or a lack of guest-oriented service from Route Inn?
