  Return to Nostalgic Towada

  I have a personal connection to Towada, and I used to visit often about 20 years ago. This time, I stayed here out of nostalgia. It’s a Business Hotel, but having a large public bath was very convenient. Perhaps because many business travelers stay here, breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m., and it was delicious. Of course, the room was clean and comfortable as well.

  It was conveniently located.

  We chose this place because it has a large public bath. It was also convenient to walk to dinner nearby. Breakfast felt like there were slightly fewer options, but it may have been enough. The parking lot was spacious, which was great.

  The building felt a bit dated and gave the impression of being less well-maintained than other Route Inn properties.

  One point only

  The single elevator can get very crowded during mornings and evenings. Everything else was completely satisfactory.

  First Time in Towada

  I stayed here during my trip back home. The welcome coffee was very comforting. The accommodation included breakfast. I wish there were more local dishes from Aomori and Towada available. The Bara-yaki was appreciated.
