    The Facility is outdated.

    The ventilation fan and air conditioner fan were very noisy (the motor made a loud rattling sound). The bath towel smelled unpleasant.

    A prestigious Hotel

    It was my first time using Asahikawa Station. The Hotel is a bit far from the station, but I walked straight along the pedestrian walkway called “Kaimono Koen,” enjoying the scenery and shops, and it was easier than I expected. Many new Hotels had opened near the station. It was quite hot during the day, but because of the temperature difference, it gets chilly at night. The Room had been renovated, but perhaps because it felt cool at night, I felt the air conditioning wasn’t very effective. Overall, I had no problems during my stay. The morning buffet had a good variety, and I felt it made good use of Hokkaido ingredients. The tomatoes and potatoes were delicious. The seasoning tasted a little strong to me. The weather was great, and I think this is an excellent Hotel to stay at in summer. Thank you very much.

    A classic Hotel known for delicious freshly baked bread and homemade pudding

    One of the joys of visiting Asahikawa is staying at this Hotel. The breakfast is simply delicious! The freshly baked bread—croissants and crispy Danish pastries—is always excellent. And the homemade pudding in a jar! I always end up having two or three. There’s also a great selection of farmer’s bacon, curry, Japanese rolled omelet, simmered dishes, and salads. The single Room is spacious and easy to use, and the front desk staff are kind and helpful. True to its name, the whole Hotel has a calm atmosphere, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from Asahikawa Station while strolling through Kaimono Koen. The price is reasonable as well, and I think it’s one of Asahikawa’s standout Hotels. It’s also adorable that there are large plush penguins and seals inside the Hotel. This is a Hotel that makes you want to stay again every time.

    The bathroom area is extremely compact.

    The 3-piece bathroom unit is extremely compact. It’s old, so it can’t be helped, but it’s still difficult to use. It might be manageable for one night, but it’s tough for a Multiple Night Stay. The towels are quite worn and I’d like them to be replaced soon... There was no mineral water provided, and the amenities were minimal.

    Extremely loud!?

    Used for a business trip! It’s a long-established Hotel, but… When I flushed the Room toilet, it made a huge “thud, thud, thud” noise like a construction site. I tried several times, but it was the same every time… Also, when I turned on the air conditioner, it was very loud as well. As a result, I couldn’t sleep well. Other members also said the toilet noise bothered them. However, breakfast was good—especially the Hotel pudding; it was incredibly delicious. The massage by Mr./Ms. K was also excellent. Since it’s an established Hotel, you may want to check and maintain the condition of the Rooms a bit more closely.

    I have used it several times.

    I had a very good impression during my first stay, so I decided to use this place again. I am extremely satisfied with the guest room, breakfast, and value for money. If I plan to visit Asahikawa again, I will definitely choose this place.

    The breakfast was delicious.

    First-time stay. The Hotel is a bit far from the station, but accessible by walking or bus. The Room shows some age but was clean. Breakfast time is relatively short, but it offered a good variety and was delicious. Compared to other Business Hotels, the breakfast selection is more extensive, and the staff's service was excellent. I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

    Unauthorized changes to a twin room may cause inconvenience.

    I reserved a Comfort Single Room, but I was assigned a Twin Room. At first glance, it seemed like an upgrade, but the room was only 19 square meters with two beds, making the walkway narrow and inconvenient for moving people or luggage. Upgrades should consider the guest's perspective and require prior explanation when implemented. The breakfast had a variety of options with several dishes prepared in the hotel's kitchen. However, there were some basic shortcomings: no butter for those opting for bread (only margarine available), no 100% fruit juice options, and the coffee machine lacked proper brewing time settings to ensure good taste. While there were noticeable groups of inbound tourists, I hope this hotel can cater to diverse needs from individual guests as well.

    The front desk staff...

    The front desk staff were very kind. It was a relaxing Hotel with a classical atmosphere. It would have been more comfortable if the cleaning of the finer details in the bathroom had been more thorough.

    Sufficient for just sleeping, but the age is noticeable.

    Due to unexpected circumstances, I decided to stay without prior research. The entrance is spacious for a Business Hotel, and you can pick up necessary amenities in the lobby. The Room was adequately sized for business use or just an overnight stay, but mold was noticeable on the ceiling and walls of the unit bath. The toilet's bidet was also an older model. The bed had just the right firmness for me, allowing a good night's sleep.

    The air conditioning was not individual and it was cold.

    About 20 years ago, I remember the upper floors had a spa and bar, giving it more of a city hotel vibe. However, now it feels like a slightly upscale Business Hotel, with only the decorations in the 1st-floor lobby retaining that atmosphere. While updates such as new wallpaper and carpets and additional bedside outlets have been made, the centralized air conditioning system only provided cooling. Even when turned off, it was cold at night. Fortunately, I was using a twin room for single use and layered an extra set of pajamas to stay warm. However, with the morning low temperature at 4.8°C (40.6°F), more flexible measures would have been appreciated. The breakfast showed effort with handmade dishes from the kitchen and local ingredients; however, as someone who works in food quality management, I noticed some shortcomings such as no butter (only margarine) and coffee machines without proper brewing time settings for better taste.

    There were no particular inconveniences.

    This was my first time using this accommodation. The same female staff member assisted me during both check-in and check-out, and her polite service made my stay very pleasant. It would be great if USB charging options were available. However, since there is a Daiso nearby, it wasn’t much of an issue. I would like to stay here again.

    The breakfast is delicious.

    I stayed before and repeated because the breakfast was delicious. The Facility is old, and the toilet and bathroom are not as comfortable as recent Hotels, which is understandable. However, I did feel a bit uncomfortable with the mold on the bathroom ceiling and shower curtain. I would be happy if improvements could be made despite the current labor shortage. The staff at the front desk and dining hall are pleasant, so I would like to use it again.

    The revolving door at the Hotel entrance was heavy. The breakfast was delicious. However, the unit bath had a slight sewage smell.

    The staff were highly skilled and very good.

    It was a 2-night, 3-day stay. The location of the parking lot was explained clearly at the front desk. Overall, the Hotel staff were very kind and left a good impression (including the front desk, restaurant, and cleaning staff). Due to the age of the Hotel, there were some inconveniences like steps in the bathroom, but it was properly cleaned. While many modern Hotels offer convenient but somewhat impersonal services like unmanned check-in machines, I felt it was a luxury in this day and age to receive high-quality service face-to-face with the staff. I would like to stay again when I visit Asahikawa.

    I chose this hotel b...

    I chose this hotel because it was close to my destination and I was staying without meals, but it was more disappointing than I expected. The carpet in the room was inadequately cleaned, with clumps of dust and lots of hair, making it a level where I didn't want my children to walk barefoot. The curtain in the unit bath was full of mold... Since the building is old, I wished they would at least keep it clean.

    A business hotel with a unique touch, unlike those in front of the station.

    It is a bit far from the JR station, but it is different from the business hotels in front of the station. The room is spacious, the bed is wide and comfortable. It is also close to long-distance buses and shops with delicious wine, so the location is not bad. The quality of breakfast has improved, just the taste of the sausages and cherry tomatoes needs attention.

    If the food is good, it's the best.

    A bit harsh, but the dinner was a little disappointing. The bath and amenities are excellent. The customer service is average (which means good). I understand that the management is pursuing efficiency in meals, but this might be the limit for a large hotel. I think they are trying hard, and there is an effort to cut steak in front of you, but I wish they would strive for a more extraordinary and exciting experience. Sorry for being harsh.

    Because it is inexpensive,

    I thought it was a spacious and splendid hotel with a large lobby. Since it was a triple room, it was spacious, but I would have preferred a separate toilet. Compared to hotels in Sapporo, the laundry prices were high, so I didn't use it. There was no bottled water, which was disappointing, but I understood since the price was cheap.
