    The facilities are too outdated.

    Although the operations at Mitsui Garden Hotel are of a high standard, the Facility is far too old. I don’t feel comfortable filling the tub and taking a bath. The toilet bowl is old and small, so it’s not usable for me.

    Breakfast Venue

    Seating is open, but the seat we chose was in front of the coffee and other drink station. It was too narrow, and several guests bumped into the legs of my husband’s chair on the aisle side, making it difficult to eat comfortably. There are two bench-sofa booths by the center window, and we wished we could have moved to one of those. The serving staff also pass through there, so it feels cramped. We stay here once or twice a year to watch Carp games and always enjoy the delicious breakfast, so this was disappointing. Please consider this for improvement. Thank you to the serving staff for your hard work early in the morning.

    A Hotel with no complaints if the Facility is new.

    This was my first stay. The Hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute taxi ride from Hiroshima Station, in central Hiroshima near the Atomic Bomb Dome. I stayed in a single Room, and everything felt compact and well organized. The Room seemed a bit old, with some scratches and stains on the walls, but it was acceptable. The staff were excellent. They explained the facilities clearly and even called a taxi for me. In addition, breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed local Hiroshima specialties, and the beef stew was especially good. I would like to stay at this Hotel again if I have the chance.

    Great location, but the rooms are a bit compact.

    I have stayed in Hiroshima City several times, but this was my first time using the Mitsui Garden Hotel (Standard Single). Although it is a bit far from Hiroshima Station, it is located in the city center and I found it convenient. As explained at the front desk, the building has centralized air conditioning, so the room felt a little warm. After entering, I turned off the air conditioning for a while to adjust the temperature. The roller blind was closed, and my first impression was that the room felt slightly dark. The bath/toilet/sink are in a unit-style bathroom, so it feels a bit compact. It seems suitable for business use focused mainly on sleeping, but if you want to relax and spend more time at the Hotel, you may find it somewhat lacking. On the other hand, I was satisfied with the bed and amenities. It was also nice that two Ito En mineral waters in aluminum cans were provided. Also, perhaps because there are many rooms, they were not able to accommodate early access before check-in time.

    It was great.

    Although the Hotel itself feels a bit dated, all the staff were wonderful, and I had a very comfortable stay.

    The bathroom is extremely unhygienic.

    The cleanliness was unsatisfactory, especially the bathtub and sink. What seemed like mold turned out to be dirt that could be wiped off by hand. This place is not recommended for those expecting high standards of cleanliness. It’s a shame because the breakfast was good.

    It was excellent.

    Despite the rainy weather during our stay, the front desk staff provided excellent service and promptly addressed any questions we had. During check-out, there was staff nearby to assist, making the self-checkout process very easy. The room was clean, and the TV allowed access to YouTube and other services, making our stay enjoyable. We would love to stay here again.

    Reusable slippers

    The slippers are labeled as sanitized, but there is an odor. Guests cannot verify the sanitization, and concerns about foot injuries or infections remain. We requested additional pairs even at an extra charge, but they were out of stock. Reusable slippers are rare these days, so we kindly request improvement. Unfortunately, the staff often seem mechanical in their approach.

    Access to the lounge & a variety of breakfast options

    We stayed here for our family summer vacation. The lounge on the 25th floor was great, offering snacks and drink services. This lounge also served as the breakfast venue, with a wide variety of breakfast options, including several Hiroshima local dishes and elaborate desserts. The location is convenient, being close to Peace Memorial Park and within walking distance to Hiroshima's downtown area, making it easy to explore various places on foot. It would have been even better if there were a large public bath or Onsen available. The Hotel staff were also very kind and helpful.

    Great location

    This time, I made a reservation with a no-breakfast plan. Since I came by car, I asked the front desk about parking, and they kindly informed me about both the hotel's parking lot and nearby parking options. The hotel's parking fee is relatively affordable for this area. The location is excellent, making it convenient to go anywhere. The lounge on the 25th floor had slightly changed compared to before but was still enjoyable. I plan to stay here again when visiting Hiroshima.

    I will use it again.

    I stayed here in April as well. The front desk staff were friendly and approachable, making for enjoyable conversations. The breakfast was delicious. The staff ensured the food was easy to access and promptly cleaned any messes, maintaining a clean and pleasant environment. I would love to stay here again!

    Facility Amenities

    There are three elevators, but they were narrow and took time to arrive even after pressing the button. The smoking room had a capacity limit but was also small. In the double Room, there was only one chair; it would have been better if there were two for both guests. The service and breakfast were excellent, and although it was a short stay, it was very pleasant. I look forward to staying again next time. Thank you very much!

    It was great to be able to use the lounge as well.

    I don't think it was my first time staying here, but it was my first time using the lounge. Depending on the time of day, there were drinks and snacks available, which was nice. Breakfast was also held in the same venue, and not only was the view great, but there was also a wide variety of Hiroshima specialties and sweets, so I ended up eating too much. I definitely want to stay here again next time.

    I always use it.

    The breakfast is delicious, with a wide variety of dishes unique to Hiroshima. The sandwiches and French toast are particularly tasty. It would be nice if the front desk staff could smile a bit more.

    I stayed for the New Year for the first time in several years, and the breakfast was fulfilling. The ozoni and beef stew were delicious.

    Convenient for going anywhere

    There is no large public bath, so it is just an ordinary bath. The building felt old, but it has been renovated and is clean. It is convenient to go anywhere, and my spouse and I were talking about wanting to stay here again when we visit Hiroshima.

    There are a few things that concern me, but isn't it okay!?

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. There were some stains that probably couldn't be removed despite efforts, as the building seems to have been constructed in the early Heisei era and is showing its age. I personally didn't mind, but I thought it might bother those who are particular about such things. You can take only the amenities you need from the first floor, but it was a disappointment point that there was no coffee. (´・ω・｀) The food was delicious. Chichiyasu? (the yogurt one) was tasty.

    The view while enjoying coffee in the 25th-floor lounge is superb.

    [25th Floor Lounge Free Use Standard Plan] was used by two people. The Room was a Moderate Twin (20 square meters). There were two beds measuring 120cm x 196cm and a sofa, and since we didn't have a carry case, it was spacious enough. We used the 25th floor lounge right after check-in and after dinner, and in addition to soft serve ice cream, snacks, and soft drinks, wine and desserts (yogurt, pudding, etc.) were also offered depending on the time of day. The view from 80 meters above ground was amazing both day and night, and we enjoyed an unexpected Hotel life. Breakfast was also a Japanese and Western buffet in the same lounge. There were various dishes, but the beef stew was memorable. The set of amenities such as lotion could be received at the front desk upon request, but it would be appreciated if this information was written at check-in. The elevator did not move to floors other than the first floor unless you touched the door with the card key. When entering the Room, I thought there was no window, but it was because a roll curtain of the same color as the wall was hanging beyond the window glass. I was relieved when I raised the curtain and saw the view outside the window. If I have another chance to visit Hiroshima, I would like to use the lounge again.
