    This is my third stay.

This was my third stay in a row (three consecutive years), and once again I had a very satisfying stay. I feel this Hotel is thoughtful in every way. They have a large public bath, a pool, and dedicated areas for washing and drying diving gear. The in-house voucher service for choosing light cleaning, hangers in the bathroom, and charging cables for smartphones are also services I truly appreciate. Honestly, there are probably many more luxurious Hotels in terms of facilities, but at a reasonable price you can fully enjoy a resort atmosphere here—and when you consider cleanliness and an overall satisfying Hotel stay, I don’t think there’s anything better on Ishigaki Island. I’m usually the type who wants to try different Hotels each time, so I rarely stay at the same place repeatedly, but I’ve stayed here three years in a row and would like to return again next year as well. If I had to mention one thing, it would be great if you could add more reclining chairs by the pool (even if it makes the regular seating area a bit tighter).

It was a Hotel with exceptionally thoughtful attention to detail.

We stayed here on a family trip, and just as other Reviews said, it was a great Hotel with so many thoughtful touches. At the large public bath near the pool, they provided plastic bags for wet clothes and swimsuits, and there was a wide selection of shampoo and conditioner—perfectly attentive service that covered every little need. In the evening, there was even live music in the Hotel, letting us enjoy an Ishigaki Island–style night atmosphere. The pool was just the right size for kids, and they were thrilled. We actually stayed at a luxurious high-end Hotel afterward, but our kids said they liked this one better. It was comfortable and easy for families to spend time here. I also think it’s a good Hotel for couples or group trips because of its friendly vibe. We’d love to stay again.

    We had a comfortable stay.

We stayed for three nights with breakfast and dinner included. The evening buffet was delicious, with sashimi and sea grapes, which we really enjoyed. Our family also liked the Okinawan live music performed every day. Since three of us stayed together, it was convenient to have a large public bath. The parking was free, which was great, but the spaces right in front fill up quickly, so we sometimes parked in the second lot and had to walk a bit. There is no complimentary drink service in the Room refrigerator; there are vending machines in the Hotel, but I recommend bringing your own drinks in advance. By skipping housekeeping we received service vouchers that could be used at the shop as well, which was helpful for buying souvenirs. The location is good and it’s relatively reasonably priced even with meals included, so I’d like to stay here again when visiting Ishigaki Island.

A relaxing Hotel where you can unwind

It was my first time visiting Ishigaki Island. The Hotel seemed to be a renovated older property, but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a mist sauna, which helped me relax after the trip. If you choose not to have housekeeping, you receive a 1,000-yen in-house coupon per day, which I used as a souvenir. Breakfast was great—the pancakes were delicious.

I was satisfied again this time.

On my recent trips to Ishigaki Island, staying at the Art Hotel has become my go-to choice. The Hotel staff are kind, there is a large public bath, and the location is excellent with many restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is also delicious, and I especially love the beef-bone soki soba.

Great access, excellent Facilities, and easy to use—recommended for sightseeing in the city center.

We stayed for one night as a group of four women in a four-person Room (one extra bed). Access: It was convenient that the airport bus stops right in front of the Hotel. We chose it because it’s within walking distance to downtown and has a large public bath. I don’t think there was a convenience store nearby, but it’s not an issue once you’re in town. It’s not a place with beach views, but if you walk about 10 minutes toward the mountains, you can enjoy peaceful scenery such as sugarcane fields. Facilities: Although it was a four-person Room, it was a corner Room and felt spacious. It was great that each of us could sleep in our own bed. The large public bath is also a big plus for four people. They provided samue loungewear and changing baskets, and everything was clean. Value for money: With four people, no meals, an early-bird plan, and an IKYU coupon, it came to just over JPY 5,000 per person. It was very good value, and the Facility and location were great as well. Overall satisfaction is high. Tour desk (optional): They can arrange remote island tours with Shuttle Service included. You can’t make an online Reservation; they handle it by email. It seemed like they only arrange tours from local tour companies, so don’t expect detailed explanations or fine service details. For things like how crowded it might be or the weather, the impression was basically “please look it up online.” That was truly disappointing considering they have such a proper-looking desk. Overall we were satisfied; I’d rate it 4 out of 5.

    Each time!

I always enjoy staying here whenever I visit Ishigaki Island! The casual live performances starting at 8 PM are one of the highlights for me! The bath and sauna are also perfect for relieving travel fatigue. This time, I stayed for three nights and had a very relaxing experience. I spent my afternoons like a local—reading and napping at the library, visiting the port to greet the statue of Mr. Gushiken, then returning to my Room in the evening to enjoy an Orion Beer while gazing at Taketomi Island as the day peacefully came to an end. Staying at your relaxing Hotel is always something I look forward to! I’ll be back again soon!

    Memorable Moments

We stayed here for a sisters' trip. The Room was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and we had a very comfortable stay. I think this is a very cost-effective Hotel. One thing I noticed is that it would be nice if the temperature of the large public bath water were slightly higher. If we have another chance to visit Ishigaki, we would love to stay here again.

    Differences by individual

I stayed here last week as well, but during this stay, the first person at the check-in counter told me in a very businesslike manner, "Check-in is at 5 PM." While that was correct, it felt a bit cold. However, after that, another staff member was very kind and accommodating, making it another pleasant stay like last week.

Flexible and attentive front desk service

The Plan allowed for a late check-in, but I was grateful to be accommodated earlier as the Room was ready. The chocolate provided as part of the Diamond Member service was also delicious.

    Large Public Bath

Love the retro-style large public bath. The water is gentle and soothing. All the staff are kind and pleasant. The pool is clean as well. The rates are affordable. The buffet is excellent for its price. I will stay here again!

    Everything is just perfect!

The outdoor pool with a slider was not too crowded, allowing us to enjoy it multiple times. The lifeguards were attentive and provided guidance, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. We enjoyed the night pool until the last minute, and the lifeguard kindly asked the children if they wanted one last slide before turning off the water, which made for a satisfying end to our day. Such thoughtful gestures were greatly appreciated by families with children! The room was a Superior Twin designed for barefoot comfort, making it easy for kids to relax. Although the bathroom was similar to that of a Business Hotel with a unit bath, there was also a large public bath available, so it wasn’t an issue. However, I felt that having an additional makeup mirror in the room would have been helpful since the sink area in the room was quite small. The scent of shampoos in the public bath might be polarizing depending on personal preference. We used the coin laundry daily as we had laundry every day during our stay. It’s worth noting that drying takes longer than expected unless you use lightweight clothing or extend drying time sufficiently. Payment is made using 100-yen coins only; however, since we were informed about this at check-in and could exchange money at reception easily, it wasn’t inconvenient. For our Multiple Night Stay request of towel replacement only instead of full cleaning service worked well for us! After returning from beach activities intending showers back inside during cleaning hours—staff noticed us immediately offering fresh towels proactively without delay—this thoughtful gesture truly helped! Breakfast offered plenty variety alongside delicious flavors leaving satisfaction overall! Lunch & dinner options outside nearby included izakayas (Japanese pubs) & set-meal restaurants within walking distance providing ample choices conveniently accessible! Every staff member demonstrated exceptional attention-to-detail throughout ensuring pleasant stays altogether positively memorable experiences here indeed looking forward revisiting Ishigaki Island someday choosing same hotel again assuredly!

    This is my second stay.

This was our second stay at the accommodation, following last year, and we stayed for three nights. We were very satisfied last year, so we decided to stay again this year. - The room seemed to be a standard room but was spacious enough for two people. It was clean and had no particular issues. - The pool is small with limited chairs available, but if you don't mind non-sofa types, you can secure a seat. There is also a simple water slide which might be great for families with small children. While it may not meet high expectations, it’s sufficient for families to enjoy before or after marine leisure activities. - Another advantage is that you can go directly from the pool to the large public bath. - One of the highlights of this resort hotel is its large public bath; having such facilities instead of just in-room baths is quite rare in resort hotels. Although it gets crowded at times, there are enough coin laundry machines available. This allows guests to wash their clothes while enjoying time at the pool and then wear freshly washed clothes after using the public bath—a very convenient flow. - This year as well, there were daily Okinawan folk music concerts held in the evening. I could even listen to live music while working on my PC at a nearby desk space—this added greatly to my satisfaction. - Breakfast offered plenty of options with Okinawan-inspired dishes like taco rice, Yaeyama soba noodles, and Spam musubi—it was enjoyable! Starting from 6 AM made it possible to catch early ferries from the island terminal just in time. However, one suggestion would be providing something like a bread-and-drink box option for those who cannot make breakfast due to early departures (e.g., catching a 7 AM ferry from Iriomote Island). On our final day when we had more time, we enjoyed breakfast leisurely; however, around 8 AM tends to get very crowded since everyone uses the same dining area. - Last year’s eco-cleaning campaign offered vouchers worth 2,000 yen per night; this year it was reduced to 1,000 yen vouchers (500 yen if including trash disposal). The 1,000-yen voucher only covered towel exchanges under this campaign policy. While still appreciated overall as an initiative promoting sustainability efforts during stays without full cleaning services—it raised slight concerns about whether towels would continue being replaced outside campaigns. Looking forward already—we’ll definitely come back next year!

Our family had a truly satisfying trip!

Located in Ishigaki City, this hotel offers a convenient location with easy access to the port, Kabira Bay, Euglena Mall, izakayas, and more. The hotel features breakfast, a pool, an onsen, laundry facilities, and other amenities that we fully enjoyed. With its reasonable pricing and excellent facilities both inside and outside the hotel, our trip to Ishigaki was truly satisfying. Thank you so much! Breakfast is served buffet-style and everything was delicious; however, it was already full by 6 AM with a long line forming at the breakfast reception before 7 AM. We recommend going early for breakfast. If we visit Ishigaki Island again in the future, we would definitely love to stay at Art Hotel!

Convenient location with an amazing view from the upper floors! Enjoy an all-you-can-eat BBQ dinner Plan to your heart's content! The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices, making it hard to decide (haha)... It was a wonderful and comfortable Room, too good for just one night.

Great location and excellent value for money.

Located about 30-40 minutes by car from the airport and within a 10-minute distance to Ishigaki Port, this Hotel is conveniently situated. Famous izakayas and Euglena Mall are also within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy your stay without renting a car. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you want to park in the main lot (Lot 1), it's better to return to the Hotel early. However, you can also use the parking lot of the neighboring restaurant or Lot 2 and Lot 3, which are not too far away, so there’s no need to rush. This three-star Hotel offers good location and service but has some areas for improvement: The ice machine is only available on the second floor, which can be inconvenient if you're staying on higher floors (I stayed on the ninth floor). After using the public bathhouse, I would bring back a large amount of ice; however, since the freezer space in the refrigerator is small, it might be challenging for larger groups who need more ice for drinks. In-room issues include difficulty closing refrigerator doors properly and weak ventilation in unit bathrooms that makes it hard to tell if they’re functioning at all. The public bathhouse often feels crowded. Considering that many modern hotels allow guests to check dining or laundry room availability via TV screens in their rooms nowadays, partial renovations could improve convenience—such as enabling guests to check public bath usage status through their TVs as well. As a business hotel (BizHo), it meets expectations well overall. I plan on staying here again when visiting Ishigaki Island in future trips! Thank you always for your attentive service and hospitality!

    It was disappointing.

Reserved a plan with dinner and breakfast included on IKYU. Dinner was a buffet. Since both my husband and I enjoy drinking, we opted for the 60-minute all-you-can-drink option. While enjoying our meal together, a staff member informed us it was the last order for the all-you-can-drink service. We were shocked—it had only been about 30 minutes since we started eating! Feeling dissatisfied, we called over a staff member to clarify the system, only to find out that the 60 minutes starts from the time of entry! Normally, at most places, the timer starts when you place your first order. Starting from when you're seated—before even deciding whether to opt for all-you-can-drink—feels like an unfair practice according to my husband. This left us feeling upset, so we returned to our room early despite it being our last night in Ishigaki Island and having chosen this hotel specifically. Additionally, check-in was crowded. While some level of congestion is understandable, couldn't there be quicker handling? The same issue occurred during check-out; while waiting in line, other guests were receiving sightseeing guidance at length—couldn't additional staff be called in for such tasks? Everyone is here on limited time for sightseeing. Although I plan to visit Ishigaki Island again in the future, I will never stay at this hotel again nor recommend it to friends.

The public bath has become more user-friendly.

Previously, it used to be crowded even if we went right after diving, but this time it was relatively less busy. The bathing time for non-accommodation guests started an hour and a half later than for accommodation guests, which was very convenient.

    Through a long-standing relationship

This time, I stayed for a 3-night stay through IKYU. I have been using this hotel for over 20 years since the days of Nikko Yaeyama. The location is excellent, there is a large public bath, and the view from the 13th floor (both day and night) is amazing. I plan to continue using it frequently in the future. However, I would like to mention some concerns from this stay for your review. During check-in, the young male staff at the front desk was surprisingly unfriendly. Additionally, when I went for currency exchange early in the morning with another male staff member, his attitude was poor and he ignored my greeting of "Good Morning." Please consider revisiting employee training on customer service. I'll be visiting again in January next year.

    Located a bit away f...

Located a bit away from Ishigaki Remote Island Terminal. It takes over 10 minutes to walk to the nearest convenience store, so shopping can be slightly inconvenient after the Hotel shop closes. The lobby has been renovated and is clean. There is a large table with power outlets, making it convenient for working on a PC during business trips. The public bath includes a sauna and cold bath, which are great features. However, there is no outdoor or indoor relaxation space, which might feel lacking for sauna enthusiasts. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options. The DIY Yaeyama Soki Soba, Taco Rice, and Sata Andagi provide an authentic Okinawan taste and were delicious. Breakfast menu highlights: - Yaeyama Soki Soba (beef soup with bonito broth) - Taco Rice - Steamed rice - Tuna miso paste, pickled plum (umeboshi), mozuku seaweed simmered in soy sauce, seasoned seaweed sheets (nori), natto - Ishigaki red rice porridge - Papaya stir-fry (Papaya Irichi) - Somen Champuru (stir-fried noodles) - Pork luncheon meat - Salt-grilled mackerel - Sweet potato tempura (Umukuji Tempura) - Chilled bitter melon noodles - Miso soup Bread selection: croissants, chocolate danish pastries, Okinawan purple sweet potato pie, milk bread rolls, melon bread with Uji matcha flavoring, pain aux raisins rolls Other dishes: seafood shumai dumplings; vegetable spring rolls; bacon; sausages; scrambled eggs Salads: bitter melon & purple onion slices salad; purple sweet potato salad; carrot rapé salad; green salad with broccoli & cherry tomatoes Hot dishes: winter melon in minced meat sauce stew; boiled molokhia greens Specialty tofu from Ishigaki’s Toyomiyama Tofu Shop Dessert/snack: Okinawan doughnuts (Sata Andagi).

This is a cost-effective Hotel that you would want to repeat.

This was our second stay following last year. We stayed for four nights with breakfast at the end of the year as a family of four, and I think it was very good value. It has a resort feel, and the facilities are conveniently arranged within a manageable range. It's about a 15-minute walk to the city center, so you can get there in no time while taking a stroll. Even if you buy too many souvenirs, you can take a taxi back for 600 yen, which is also an attractive point. The disappointing point was that, perhaps because it was late December, the washing area in the large public bath was too cold to wash hair slowly. I used it three times, but there was always a cold wind blowing in, making it chilly. I was also a little concerned about the black mold on the sink in the room. However, if you cooperate with eco-cleaning, you can receive a coupon to use at the shop, and there is a spacious area for remote work, so we were able to take time for the children's homework. Overall, I think it is a very satisfying hotel. I would definitely like to use it again next time.

    I use it every year.

Thank you for this year as well. Despite the trend of declining services due to rising prices, this was not the case here, and it was a very satisfying stay. Breakfast was available from 6 AM, and there was a wide variety of dishes. The local Okinawan cuisine was also delicious. There was a slight issue with the room, but it was handled graciously, and the bath was also good.
