    Breakfast is excellent.

    I’ve stayed here many times. This Hotel is extremely convenient for visiting Oiwa Shrine. A few years ago, I read in a magazine about a “power spot where a pillar of light appears.” I visited and felt so comfortable that I started coming every year. The Hotel is right in front of Hitachi Station, and the bus stop is also very close. After breakfast, I take the bus and head up the mountain road to the shrine. The Hotel feels clean, and above all, the breakfast is delicious. This time, the miso-braised mackerel was outstanding. Home-style dishes like kinpira burdock and simmered hijiki are also carefully prepared—I’m sure there’s a very skilled chef here. I’ll definitely stay again.

    【Borrowed Scenery】Enjoy the serene ocean view and the relaxing sight of trains coming and going at JR Hitachi Station. In contrast, from the entrance side, admire modern architectural structures illuminated at night, including event spaces and commercial public facilities—a stay here offers plenty of added value. The front desk ensures smooth key handling during outings by remembering your face.

    Televisions during breakfast can be disruptive.

    The constant TV noise and flickering lights during breakfast, especially with sports commentary, are disruptive and unpleasant. For breakfast at a hotel, I hope for an atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation. While some guests may enjoy a lively breakfast with the TV on, it feels unfair to subject everyone to such noise from the start of the day. I would like to stay again next year, so I kindly request this be reconsidered. Even weather forecasts or news can be unwelcome for some guests—let alone loud sports commentary. This does not align with the class of hotels introduced on IKYU.com.

    Surprised by the late-night noise!

    The Facility is slightly outdated, but the guest rooms are reasonably comfortable. Breakfast is well-prepared, with fresh salads and fruits that were very delicious. However, I was troubled by noise late at night. Around 2 a.m., there was a sudden loud thud that startled me awake, and the noise continued for some time. It was unclear whether it came from an upper or lower floor or nearby guest rooms. I hope it wasn’t due to preparations for an event like what I experienced at a traditional Hotel in Tokyo before.

    Convenient.

    The sea view and the beautiful evening and morning skies were stunning. I have stayed here multiple times and love the comfortable beds and the delicious breakfast with a wide variety of options. The convenient location near both the train station and bus stop is also a great advantage.

    Standard Business Hotel

    I had checked the hotel's facilities in advance, so it was just as I expected—a standard business hotel. Noise from the neighboring room was somewhat audible, and I assumed they could hear me too, so I tried to be mindful early in the morning. I wanted to open the window for fresh air and followed the instructions on the wall, but it wouldn't open easily, so I eventually gave up. The window had a peculiar locking mechanism that I had never seen before.

    The bed was perfectly firm, allowing for a good night's sleep. However, the limited parking space on-site made it challenging, especially during the heavy rain upon arrival.

    Highly recommended.

    I stayed in an ocean view room. It costs about 500 yen extra, but you can enjoy a view of Hitachi Station, known as the most beautiful station in Japan, and the sea from the window. While the building shows its age, it is clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was also delicious. With its convenient location near the station and a price under 10,000 yen, I highly recommend it.

    Close to the station

    I used it to see the sunrise at Hitachi Station, so it was very convenient being nearby. I also enjoyed a delicious breakfast.

    The age of the Facility is noticeable, but it is surprisingly reasonable despite being conveniently close to the station, and the breakfast buffet was delicious, so I would definitely like to use it again.

    The meat at dinner was delicious.

    I was impressed by the Hitachi beef steak at dinner, which was prepared in a very simple and delicious way that brought out the natural flavor of the meat. However, the lychee jelly dessert had a very bad aftertaste, possibly due to artificial lychee flavoring, and the roll cake and chocolate syrup seemed very cheap. It was disappointing because I wanted to savor the lingering taste of the main meat dish, but it was ruined. After such a simple meat dish, a small amount of cut fruit would suffice. It would be better to have a system where only very delicious desserts that do not spoil the lingering taste of the main dish can be ordered for an additional charge. Not just here, but the forced feeling of dessert assortments at mid-range restaurants is usually not tasty, and I feel something should be done about this trend. One standout dish is enough; we don't need a variety.
