    Because it’s a JAL C...

    Because it’s a JAL City Hotel, I expected too much. On this trip to Tohoku we changed hotels every day, and all four nights included lounge access, so the differences between the Hotels were very clear. This one was also the most expensive, so my expectations were high—but I was disappointed. The staff were excellent in every way: their demeanor and language were truly professional. However, once you enter the lounge, re-entry is not allowed. There is no beer. There is only one type of sake. No one stayed long; after about 30 minutes everyone who came in at the same time had already left, so we left early as well. After that there weren’t many places to go nearby, and since it was raining we ended up buying a bento at a local department store and eating it in our Room. There was bath salt provided, but the bathtub was smaller than the one at home and I didn’t feel like using it. Above all, the water pressure at the sink was weak; you need hot water to wash properly anyway, but because you adjust it by turning two round knobs on the right and left, it would suddenly get too hot and was very inconvenient to use. There was no toner or lotion in the Room, so I went to the counter to ask for some; they repeatedly asked for my room number and gave me the impression that they might not provide them depending on which Room you are in. As for breakfast, while the staff were pleasant, I had read various Reviews mentioning scallop curry—my husband loves scallops—so we chose this Hotel partly for that reason. But perhaps that Review information was outdated or seasonal; it seemed to be just regular curry instead.

    Your First Visit to Aomori

    This was my first trip to Aomori and my first stay here.\nThey kindly stored my luggage before check-in, so I could go sightseeing hands-free.\nThe Room was clean.\nThey provided mineral water for hot drinks in the Room, and there was also apple juice in the refrigerator, which I really appreciated.\nI’m glad my trip to Aomori became a wonderful memory.\nIf I have the chance, I would like to stay again.

    The breakfast was excellent.

    The Room is a bit old, but it is well cleaned. What was disappointing was the bathroom. The sewage smell was quite noticeable, and the toilet did not flush well. What was good was the breakfast. To avoid crowds, you could check online and wait without having to stand in line. There was a wide variety of dishes with local specialties included, and everything was delicious. The staff’s attentiveness was also very good.

    The welcome drink service was much appreciated. Breakfast offered a great variety of dishes, and the staff who assisted us were cheerful and explained the vegetables, which made the meal enjoyable. If I visit Aomori again, I would like to stay here again.

    The quality exceeded my expectations.

    I recommended this Hotel for a business trip stay. Although we made a Reservation for a single, it seems we were upgraded to a twin Room, which was greatly appreciated. Since my colleague stayed at the same Hotel, we were able to hold meetings in the spacious Room, which was very helpful. The breakfast is excellent, so I advised going early; it seems the front desk mentioned this as well. Because it’s popular and gets crowded, going early was the right choice. A park with an ocean view is also just a short walk away, making a morning stroll very pleasant, and I will definitely choose this Hotel again next time. This time we were able to stay within budget and are very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    The Room is spacious.

    The Room was spacious and comfortable. The Facility was old, but it was clean. Cookies and apple juice were provided, which was a thoughtful touch. It was a bit far from the station, but for younger guests it was convenient, with tourist spots within walking distance.

    I was concerned about carpet stains, but the room was thoroughly cleaned. This time I used the budget smoking Plan. The smell of cigarettes did bother me, but this Plan is a great value. Although it’s not a budget option, there were other Plans that caught my interest, so I’ll use them next time.

    Delicious breakfast

    Stayed here for the Aomori Sakura Marathon. A very convenient location—within a 10-minute walk from the station and close to the marathon finish line. It isn’t new, but the room was clean and comfortable. JAL City Hotel is known for its excellent breakfast, and this one lived up to expectations, with plenty of local ingredients and dishes.

    The Room environment was excellent. There were plenty of pillows to choose from, and I slept well. The bath salts were also a nice touch. I would definitely like to stay again. The parking staff were very courteous, and I’m grateful. One disappointing point was that the breakfast venue staff were whispering among themselves, which felt a bit unpleasant. The food was very delicious, so that was the only letdown. Thank you very much. I look forward to staying again.

    The Room was spaciou...

    The Room was spacious, and the Facilities were well equipped with a massage chair, hair dryer, iron, and more. The bed was large and very comfortable, so I slept well. The Room featured Tsugaru lacquerware, kogin embroidery, and furnishings made from hiba wood—truly a wonderful space. In the lounge, we enjoyed local foods and purchased kogin embroidery items and chips as souvenirs. I didn’t have enough time to look for products made from hiba wood, which gave me another reason to visit Aomori again. I would definitely like to stay at your Hotel again. The front desk staff were excellent, and during lounge use and breakfast they spoke to us in a friendly way, making it a great trip. Thank you very much.

    Delicious breakfast.

    The Facility is a bit old, but it feels clean for its age, so no problem. There is a USB port by the pillow, but there is only one power outlet, which is a bit inconvenient. Be careful: the Hotel parking lot may not accommodate even small cars with higher vehicle height, and you may be directed to a nearby parking lot. ASPAM, Aomori Station, and Warasse (Nebuta Museum) are all within walking distance. The location is excellent. Breakfast included local dishes and limited-time menu items available at the time, and everything tasted good. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance.

    Hotel I want to stay at again

    I don't smoke, but I was attracted by the affordable price of the non-smoking Room. When I asked about the smell of the Room at check-in, they informed me that a non-smoking twin Room was available for an additional fee, so I upgraded. The Room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. I was very satisfied. I'll stay here for the third time as well.

    The lounge is excellent.

    I have stayed here several times, including for my birthday month, but unfortunately, the lounge was closed during the year-end period. Disappointing. However, during previous stays, the snacks offered were thoughtful and enjoyable. While I initially felt the quantity was a bit lacking compared to other hotel lounges, it is not a club lounge, so I found the service more than satisfactory. My favorite snack was the white-coated salami—it’s something I usually don’t eat at all but found it delicious! The staff's polite and attentive service also stood out. As for breakfast, on a previous visit, the curry served was overly salty and there weren’t many menu options available; hence this time I opted not to include breakfast in my stay. Early December’s white chicken stew? Unfortunately missed trying it then—and by my next visit that dish wasn’t on offer anymore. On top of that, overall energy in that day’s menu seemed lacking... well, such days happen. That said, from reception to lounge to breakfast service—the female staff's straightforward and courteous hospitality left a refreshing impression!

    Delicious breakfast

    I stayed in a smoking Room at a low price. The smell wasn't too noticeable after ventilation. Breakfast included many local ingredients and was very delicious. It was crowded due to the small space.

    Every mid-December, I go on an Onsen trip, and this time I stayed at JAL City, which I had been curious about because of its lounge. The Room was a Comfort Corner Twin with a nice view of Mutsu Bay, Aspam Bay Bridge, and more. The amenities featured Tsugaru lacquerware and Kogin embroidery, along with a beauty device, humidifier, and even apple juice—everything was perfect. Of course, the cleanliness of the Room and bathroom was outstanding. Compared to other Hotels, JAL truly stands out. I chose this Accommodation for its lounge; however, the drink selection included red/white wine, two types of cider, sake (Japanese rice wine), shochu (distilled spirit), coffee/tea; snacks included smoked mackerel/tuna slices, nuts, stick vegetables with dip sauce (crudités), dried fruits & cheese varieties alongside Nanbu senbei crackers & unique delicacies like Nakayoshi fish paste snack—but portions were small making it awkwardly less inviting while ambiance felt underwhelming compared against ANA Hotel Akita’s offerings which seemed richer overall! Suggestion-wise: either expand both beverage/snack variety lavishly OR limit solely soft-drinks instead altogether! Regarding breakfast: having heard countless praises claiming "JAL breakfasts are delicious," "unlike any other Hotel," or even ranked #1 repeatedly raised expectations sky-high only leading towards slight disappointment eventually since dining area appeared cramped whilst menu options remained limited comparatively speaking though ramen prepared freshly upon order tasted absolutely delightful enough wanting seconds honestly! Despite mixed impressions shared above ultimately what left lasting impression undeniably remains impeccable cleanliness within Rooms themselves henceforth would undoubtedly rebook identical accommodation again without hesitation!

    Looking forward to breakfast!

    I always stay here when traveling to Aomori. This time, I stayed in a newly renovated Room, and it was very clean and comfortable. I always look forward to the breakfast and end up eating too much every time. It would be great if I could buy delicious Danish pastries or apple jam as souvenirs. One small disappointment is that the Rooms with access to Lounge A are only available in twin settings. Since I usually travel with two friends (a group of three), there isn't a suitable Room setting for us. I hope to use the lounge someday!

    I stayed for just one night, but I was very satisfied. The front desk staff were very polite, and arranging a taxi for the next day was smooth. When it started raining, they promptly noticed and lent me an umbrella, which was a thoughtful gesture. The lounge was available in the evening, and both the atmosphere and offerings were excellent. Additionally, the female staff members at both the lounge and breakfast venue were attentive and efficient, which left a great impression on me. If I visit Aomori again, I would love to stay here.

    JAL City offers a delicious breakfast, which I was looking forward to when I made the Reservation. It exceeded my expectations. Thanks to this, my spouse and I enjoyed a relaxing and delightful meal. It would be even better if the nightwear included pants as a set. It would also be nice if the Tsugaru Vidro glasses were available for purchase at the Hotel. That said, despite the short stay, we truly enjoyed our time. We look forward to visiting again.     I informed them about staying for my birthday, and they kindly gave me a gift featuring local items from Aomori, which made me very happy and created a wonderful memory. The room was well-prepared and clean, and the location was convenient as it was not far from shopping areas. When I requested a taxi for an early departure the next day, they arranged it promptly and willingly. The lobby decorations also showcased elements unique to Aomori, which I really appreciated.     Corner rooms are highly recommended.

    It was my first time in Aomori, so I chose the trusted JAL brand. The Comfort Corner Room caught my eye with its renewal discount, and I immediately made a reservation. The location is in the city center, making it very convenient for sightseeing. I was provided with a room on an upper floor, offering an amazing view of the port (exactly as shown on the hotel's website). The staff were extremely kind and introduced us to a partner restaurant for dinner where we enjoyed fresh tuna and scallops. We also got to listen to Tsugaru Shamisen live music while enjoying dessert provided as part of the hotel's service. As for breakfast, I underestimated it as "just business hotel breakfast," but it completely exceeded my expectations. Every dish was carefully prepared using local ingredients with refined flavors, and I ended up eating too much because everything was so delicious! If given another chance to visit, I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    I always stay here when visiting Aomori City. The renovated room was very comfortable, featuring tasteful furnishings such as Tsugaru lacquerware and Tsugaru Vidro glass. Staying in a room with lounge access allowed me to enjoy alcohol, snacks, and other local delights from Aomori. I always look forward to the breakfast, and this time was no exception—it was delicious as always.

    The powder room has separate faucets for hot and cold water, so both need to be turned to get the right temperature, but other than that, I was very satisfied. The breakfast was especially delightful, offering a variety of Aomori's local dishes that were all incredibly delicious. I would love to stay here again.

    This was my second visit to Aomori. Last time, I stayed near Shin-Aomori Station, but I found Aomori Station more convenient for sightseeing. Based on reviews praising the breakfast, I decided to stay here—and it was the perfect choice. I’ll make sure to check JAL City Hotels when traveling to other regions as well.

    A Hotel Full of Hospitality

    I stayed in the renovated Deluxe Twin room. The necessary facilities and amenities were well-prepared, and the bed was excellent, ensuring no discomfort upon waking up. Most notably, the breakfast was outstanding, featuring local ingredients and served with Tsugaru Vidro glassware, setting it apart from typical business hotel breakfasts. What I want to emphasize most is the impeccable demeanor of the female staff member at the restaurant; her attentiveness and grace were truly impressive and uplifting to witness. The front desk staff also provided pleasant service. It makes me proud that such a wonderful hotel exists in Aomori (as a resident of Aomori myself). I can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting accommodations in Aomori!
